  1. Exactly, Babs. Just because she doesn't believe the same thing as Steve, doesn't mean she doesn't believe in anything. If anything, I've found Athiests to have more well thought-out convictions than Christians. Most Christians I've encountered simply believe what they believe because they've been going to church their whole life and are simply subscribing to their parents' religion. Athiests tend to come to their beliefs in adulthood, after having gone to church their whole life, and after reasoned thought and analysis come to disagree. It comes down to whether you favor faith or logic - Christians say you have to ignore the logic and simply have faith. Athiests believe that logic transcends faith in the illogical.
  2. Listening to some 5/13/73 Mobile, AL. Smoking solo in 'Since I've Been Loving You'!
  3. Listening to 1/15/73 Stoke, UK. Great soundboard, and holds a place in my heart as it was the 1st bootleg I ever owned, back in 1991.
  4. Tried listening to a few tracks from 6/29 & 6/30 of 1980, but it was too painful to hear. Sounds like they replaced Jimmy with a beginning guitar student who's been playing for a month. Ugh.
  5. Yes and yes! Pliny is a classic. Not available in Michigan, but I'm such a beer geek I do trades for California beers. I have Bells Two Hearted in my kegerator, which is the #2 ranked IPA on RateBeer.com. You can check out my beer ratings here: mattmc1973 beer ratings
  6. Racer 5 IPA rules! Love a good IPA, I'm a hop freak.
  7. Still on my kick of listening to No Quarter live. Digging 6/23/77 right now, the version Luis Rey calls the best ever...
  8. 3/21/75 Seattle. Luis Rey refers to it as the best show of the '75 tour.
  9. Listening to my newest version of 6/21/77, and it's very kick ass.
  10. I think No Quarter has become my favorite live Zep song. I dig listening to the versions from each tour as it grew from 73-75-77. I really like the 73 versions, they were short, compact, and very eerie and atmospheric. 77 was more of a long jam, in lieu of Dazed & Confused.
  11. Louis CK. OK, it's not a music concert, but it'll still be awesome, funniest standup comedian alive.
  12. Tom Petty, and before that, Them Crooked Vultures.
  13. Mike Millard was a bootlegger in the LA area in the 70's. He pretended to be handicapped and came to concerts in a wheelchair, so he could hide his recording equipment in the wheelchair, and get close access to the stage. He's most known for the '77 run of LA Forum concerts, including the 6/21/77 bootleg "Listen To This Eddie". He also is known to have done Long Beach in '75, and a couple of the LA '75 shows. Not much is known about him, but he is believed to have committed suicide in 1990. Wiki - Mike Millard

    That's a nice DIPA.
  15. 5/28/73 San Diego, soundboard tape. I work from home, so I always have a Zep concert playing on my computer while I work!
  16. ^ Exactly. Jimmy is a perfectionist, as evidenced by his heavy editing and tampering of TSRTS soundtrack. He doesn't want a single bum note or vocal crack on there. But there wouldn't be much he could do with most of the tapes from '77, they were just too sloppy and he would never release them. As far as video footage, I have the feeling that the DVD from 2003 comprises all of what Jimmy deemed release-worthy, and there won't be any more.
  17. You have to remember that Page has said he'll only release video for which there is multi-track audio. So even if the Silverdome footage is out there from the closed circuit system, if professionally recorded multi-track audio doesn't exist, it'll never see the light of day, at least not officially. Could show up in bootleg form, but if it hasn't in 33 years, I wouldn't hold my breath. The tapes might not even exist...they might not have been saved, could have been lost or damaged, or who knows what.
  18. Downloading 6/27/77 right now. I have Millard's recordings from the 21st, 23rd, and 25th, but have not heard the 27th.

Drank a Stone Ruination double IPA this evening, followed by some Bells Two Hearted IPA from my kegerator.
  20. Yes, I've always felt it's his strongest solo effort.
