  1. I can't believe I missed it. .You can pm me any time. I love Turf racing
  2. I missed the Melbourne already???? This is terrible but unfortunately it happens on rare occasion. Reggie, I thought you were going to let me know when it ran?
  3. Well I am surprised to see the schedule up already. Strider must be up at some wee hours. Here are my picks Cincy (no lock, Cleveland I respect more than most here) Buffalo (simple fact is the Bills have had their number, but this is a very tough task) Detroit ( I am banking on the return of Calvin Williams) New Orleans ( in house fighting in SF? Harbaugh on his way out? Still, this could go either way) Pittsburgh (the line right now 4 1/2 but certain to go up) Atlanta (hard for me to accept that this is a pick game. Atlanta is a better team) Dallas (with much skepticism if Romo is out) Baltimore Denver (not the lock it appears to be. I say Oakland covers. The AFC west theory is in play here) Arizona (this could be an upset. The Rams are a good team on the rise. If only they had Bradford. Next year, I believe this division will be theirs) Seattle (only because the Giants are that bad) Green Bay Carolina (on a hunch because Sanchez is playing. He is terrible. One good game does not convince me. A trap game for the Eagles)
  4. Oh yes it did Bonger. It had a ton of influence on the outcome and on a normal day that horse comes down. On another note, starting in race 5 today, the LAST DAY AT SANTA ANITA, THE PICK SIX CARRYOVER IS 1.4 MILLION DOLLARS!!!! nobody won yesterday, oh what a surprise. Get your wallet out and take a shot.
  5. A black eye for the sport. HOW IN GOD'S NAME CAN THEY LEAVE THAT HORSE UP? The announcers could not believe it. There was a STEWARDS INQUIRY. The 7 horse that pulled the upset knocked 3 or 4 horses out of the race coming out of the gate. If this race was run at any track on any day other than a multi millions dollar stage it would have been DISQUALIFIED JUSTIFIABLY. The horse caused pure havoc. Caused a friend of mine to lose 8 thousand dollars on the pick 4 by hammering Jim Rome's horse. If anyone can watch JIM ROME'S SHOW THIS WEEK? It will be worth it. He is going to go OFF THE FUCKING RAILS.
  6. With a rare rain storm in So Cal, the track bias is shot to hell. 5 for 5, you get the lead the race is over
  7. Don't feel bad. I had a case of the "dummies" when I took them too. How in the hell could I pick them?
  8. Just heard Rosie Napravnick, best woman jockey in racing right now is going to retire after today's races in Santa Anita where she has two mounts. She is arguably the best woman jockey since Julie Krone. The only woman to have ridden in all three Triple Crown races. She won the big race yesterday on the horse I posted to win Untapable, and she is 7 weeks pregnant!!!! Kind of scares me to see a woman ride in these races pregnant. Jim Rome today said "its a man's sport". I think he meant its tough. But I did not like his comments nonetheless. He is one arrogant prick. Here is to your Rosie!!!!
  9. "It never rains in southern California". Ever heard that song? Well, its pretty true. But it rained less than 3 days according to TVG, an LA based horse wagering channel on Direct TV. They just interviewed Jim Rome who has his horse running in the classic. Shared Belief. I will use the horse in a tri but will try and beat him with Tonalist. A heavy hitter from the East Coast and will use California Chrome. There are some scratches in the early races due to this rain. The Turf is rated good. No problem for Euro connections at all. May help a horse like Tornado? I am really big on a horse called Artemis Agrotera. Comes in on a roll and is sitting on a "bomb" of a race in my opinion. Not crazy about the rider but this horse has a big shot. 3-1 morning line. A really good card. And I am locked in with Tonalist. But there are no locks in the Classic. They showed most of the Classics going back 30 years. Including the last race Cigar ever ran. He was trying to win two straight Classics. He almost did it. Was beaten by a monster longshot white horse named Alphabet Soup. IMO, Cigar should have been retired after his 13th straight win. Including a win in the Dubai World Cup on the other side of the Globe. Just an incredible career. But since he did not run in or win a Triple Crown race, some do not consider him a super horse. They are full of shit. Easy Goer and Sunday Silence treated us to some real classic battles. The best horse race I ever saw was the Preakness when the two of them hit the wire and battled the entire stretch. Only the hairs on the nose of Sunday Silence got him a win and i do still consider it a dead heat. Easy Goer came back to absolutely destroy Sunday Silence in the Belmont. Once again they would battle in the Classic and SS held off a late charging Easy Goer. If the race was a foot longer, Easy Goer would have won. One of my all time favorite horses. For those that are wagering, good luck and lets hope all the horses are safely shipped home at day's end
  10. Miserable rainy day here I will watch and wager on the Breeders Cup races at Santa Anita
  11. Wow. So midnight here. Thanks. I have the two day double going and if my horse Tonalist wins it will return a measly $13. Terrible payoff. I had the favorite that I thought was just too good and he was.
  12. Halloween IV. Donald Pleasance I always liked. Ever since the Great Escape. He was a good actor. I think that may have been the last one he was in but I could be wrong.
  13. Bratfest over for another year. Every time i sit down the fucking door bell rings
  14. I will bump this post as I spent time and work on it. Reggie, please remind me of the Melbourne. They were just mentioning it on TVG
  15. I just carved my Pumpkin and will be handing out candy.
  16. Please remind me of that event when it draws near. I can watch it on TVG or online. I will no doubt bet that race TVG just mentioned it. Two great days of racing her at Santa Anita

  18. My studying is complete. Next post on this thread i am going to give my picks for the two days of Breeders Cup races at Santa Anita in LA. Horses have been thrown in from Europe for this annual event, the championship day of horse racing. In various categories. A better two days of racing than you can get any time. Better than the Kentucky Derby. And equal at least to the Dubai World Cup and the fabulous undercard. So my picks are coming.
  19. Where in the Devil is Saustin? Anyway, we went from an Indian Summer here yesterday in Upstate NY to turning the heat back on today. Leaves are fallin all around. Well, you know the rest of that great song.
  20. Well I have bought the Daily Racing Form past performances for Friday and Saturday for Santa Anita ( The Breeders Cup) in California where it will be held this year. Some great racing Strider in your neck of the woods if you happen to read this. It is now split into a two day event. Many different categories such as the Sprint (6 furlongs on the dirt), the Turf (on grass and distances of a mile and also a mile and a quarter). The Classic is one of the richest purses in horse racing. Only the Dubai World Cup is more, not the Kentucky Derby. So far I like a horse called Tonalist, and I do like California Chrome to be in the trifecta. I may post some horses later if anyone is inclined to take a shot
  21. Oh they would rather go to Miami than freezing cold Buffalo. And they will be all business after losing last week. I just like Rivers more than Tanehill and think SD has the better D. And yes, I do hope they help us out as my Bills do have some motive for San Diego to beat Miami. Even though its early and we come down there two weeks from Thurs.
