  1. Too Far To Care turned 15 back on June 17th. In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the album Old 97's are embarking on a tour starting in August in Dallas where they'll perform the album in it's entirety. Also on the way this Fall is a special anniversary edition of the album on vinyl, CD and digital. More info on that as well as the tour here.
  2. There's an entire thread in the Other Bands section devoted to YouTube clips which you can find here. Plus, I don't think it really works when you post the URL in the subject line.
  3. If you like what you hear you can check out more Debonzo Brothers music here.
  4. Photo from the collection of NYPD police officer Antonio Bolfo from his days on the beat in the South Bronx projects. To see more click here.
  5. Never before seen photos taken by the late Jim Marshall (from CNN).
  6. Not exactly forgotten but I get the impression that it doesn't get played on "Classic Rock" radio stations nearly as much as it did during the heyday of AOR.
  7. Interview and performance ("Lucky Now") from Ryan Adams on Canada's Q-TV:
  8. I've never been much of a Jack White or White Stripes fan (nor do I hate him/them) but it would be cool to hear the results of a White-produced Stones project. Keith Richards Talks Joint Recordings With Jack White (Rolling Stone)
  9. The Doc Watson Symposium and tribute concert is this coming weekend at the Museum of Art in Raleigh. The concert was originally supposed to be headlined by Doc himself but has since turned into a tribute to him from his peers. Raleigh News and Observer music writer David Menconi talks a bit about that as well as opening up the floor to some of Doc's friends so they can share their thoughts on him in this article. 12. According to Wiki they toured with the likes of Judas Priest, Whitesnake, UFO, Nazareth and Blackfoot. Sounds like their were poised for success but due to circumstances beyond their control they were sidelined by legal battles with their label for a couple of years after the label collapsed. Reminds me a bit of the story of Anvil.
