  1. Shockingly, liberals have proven themselves to be even worse than communists: "At Least Under [Polish] Communism You Could Go to Church" - LRC Blog LewRockwell.com
  2. The mad-vaxxers are monstrously evil: Toddler Refused Heart Surgery in Three Separate Countries Over PARENTS Being Unjabbed – NewsWars
  3. You're the one misreading, the meme doesn't claim that at all, it claims that Young sold half his catalog to Hipgnosis, which is factually correct. The 1B refers to a deal between Hipgnosis and Blackstone, also factually correct. The point of all of this is that there are enough connections between enough parties here who have a proven track record of dishonesty, that it's reasonable to draw certain conclusions. You have to be worse than naive and gullible to characterize Blackstone as an "investment company", they are the epitome of parasitical finance capital that exists because of its privileged connections to the State. They are not even remotely a legitimate, free market institution. You probably believe that billionaires meet at Davos to discuss skiing or where their kids are going to school.
  4. Also, sound-quality aside there's a certain ebb-and-flow to '75 that sets each night apart (probably true of any tour but it seems especially accentuated in '75). For example, the kick-ass Rock n Roll from 3-12-75 on your list, it sets the tone for that whole show, it would be out of place even on an outstanding night like Philly (where Page is almost '73 fluid). Plus as great as the EC acoustic set was, I have trouble picturing it in the US in '75 (although it looked really good on paper in '77, so who knows).
  5. Yup, sad but true. It should be obvious by now: NEVER apologize to these people, they just demand more.
  6. Nothing in that meme appears to be inaccurate, although of course it doesn't establish causation (food for thought is always appealing, some of us would agree): Fact Check: Trending meme highlights link between Neil Young, Pfizer, Vaccine Misinformation and the company that paid him $1 billion for his music (shorenewsnetwork.com) Hipgnosis, Blackstone in Music Investment Partnership, Stake Deal – The Hollywood Reporter Like I've said before, I'm old enough to remember when left-liberals pretended to be bothered by slimy collaboration with big finance, crony capitalism, etc. Now they don't even bother faking it. Dishonest pieces of shit. Just like Neil Young.
  7. You did not address a single point in the meme, as you were asked to. We don't need a history lesson on Hipgnosis, BTW.
  8. A narrative, flushed: A-Literature-Review-and-Meta-Analysis-of-the-Effects-of-Lockdowns-on-COVID-19-Mortality.pdf (jhu.edu) Johns Hopkins is of course as mainstream as it gets. Money quote: "While this meta-analysis concludes that lockdowns have had little to no public health effects, they have imposed enormous economic and social costs where they have been adopted. In consequence, lockdown policies are ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument."
  9. Interesting you put 5-17 ahead of 5-18? Page is quite fluid the second EC night, similar to Philly.
  10. And Plant was so pissed off, he was still bitching about them the next night in Providence, LOL. And of course the story of Boston Zep fans trashing the Garden waiting for tickets in '75 is a classic. A lot of passion in that city, I guess.
  11. Sure, the Boston show had a lot of problems, but the playing is really great. It shows that even with an unruly audience the band really was out of this world in July '73. Certainly other nights come out ahead for various reasons, but Boston shouldn't be overlooked.
  12. Endless boosters: Three, four or more: what’s the magic number for booster shots? (nature.com) But hey, it's scientists saying this, so we have to believe them without question, right?
  13. Agreed, NATO is a classic example of a bureaucracy that outlived its usefulness decades ago, it has no reason to exist. But the problem with your suggestion is that the Americans want to cut off cheap gas to Europe from Russia and replace it with their own (expensive) LNG (liquefied natural gas). It looks like France and Germany are pushing back on this, I guess we'll see what happens next.
  14. Thanks for posting. Agree with other comments, musicianship in '77 aside, there's no doubt these concerts would have been epic to attend. Sadly, the end of the Rock God era.
  15. I continue to be impressed by how comically (or is it cosmically) stupid the covid media organs prove themselves to be: With Trudeau In Hiding, CBC Suggests Putin Behind Truckers' Freedom Convoy | ZeroHedge
  16. Not to mention that he's delusional over whether most Americans could even find Ukraine on a map, let alone give two shits over whether it stays independent or not. But this is how the two party duopoly works in DC: some idiot starts a pointless war, and the rest of the clowns fall right in line.
  17. The mad-vaxxers are never gonna let this go: Head of Austrian Bioethics Commission: This is but the beginning of a glorious new era of mandatory vaccination. (eugyppius.com)
  18. Keep on boosting in the vaxxed world: Neil Young Addresses Spotify And Joe Rogan Brouhaha: “I Support Free Speech” (stereogum.com) Apart from his delusional sense of relevance, Young displays the trademark intellectual dishonesty of the left: “I support free speech. I have never been in favor of censorship. Private companies have the right to choose what they profit from, just as I can choose not to have my music support a platform that disseminates harmful information. I am happy and proud to stand in solidarity with the front line health care workers who risk their lives every day to help others.” Crony capitalism is great as long as they spout woke slogans, apparently. And I guess he's referring to the the health care workers who have lost their jobs over refusal to get jabbed, leading to staff shortages and such. How did pieces of shit like Neil Young become moral exemplars in the West?
  19. Looks like the neocon hasn't completely changed his spots, here he is banging the drums for war over the Ukraine: Victor Davis Hanson: Why Putin Has Not Been Deterred | ZeroHedge This piece is simply awful, frankly it undercuts the good stuff he's written about America's imperial collapse.
  20. Vancouver '73 is another overlooked show (probably gets overshadowed by Seattle and the fact that it's so abbreviated from Plant getting spiked), but there's some characteristically great July '73 playing there. (The Buffalo OTHAFA solo is also great.) But overall I'd agree that the song really hit its peak in '75, especially the West Coast shows (2nd Long Beach, all Vancouver/Seattle shows, and the last night in LA). For the first leg, the 2nd Nassau show (2-13) has an outstanding version.
  21. Not sure what you mean by "everyone bitches about it", I would say it's not generally known (even here) that the security organs of the western governments have controlled many groups typically regarded as "opposition". So by posting about it, I am in fact "doing something about it". But serious question: what else would you suggest doing here? Heading to the hills is a perfectly acceptable response. Open confrontation with the US government (say) is ... less so, I'd hope you agree.
