  1. Billy Joel is great. I love him.Wonderful lyricist, and a fabulous live act.
  2. He was one of the first with the "Black Magic Kills Zeppelin Drummer"-type stories, mainly aimed at and blaming Jimmy. I don't think he did kneel - he's a dick - but I remember Robert was quite proud of Jimmy.
  3. At a function in about 1982/3. Melody Maker made him "Chap of the week" for it.
  4. I seem to remember that. It was also him that Jimmy threw a glass of wine over and said "You are the scum of the earth - kneel down before me and apologise" Class.
  5. I knew there couldn't be THAT many people at The Greek last week who'd been to The Tube.
  6. Know what - I'm starting to wonder about the date he sang with them. I saw them on March 4th 1989 but that was at the Town and Country Club, as my ticket shows. I can't remember if it was there that Robert sang with them. Then they played the Hammersmith and I think that was on their NEXT UK tour, which was in June or July of 1990, and that's the one Robert turned up at with Charlie and I don't remember if he sang there or not. I'll really try and look into this over the next couple of days - for my own peace of mind as much as anything else.
  7. Some t's exactly like this were made for the band and staff. I remember seeing Maureen Plant's brother wearing one in 1983.
  8. Which something? Robert was on in 1978 and 1982. Steve, I believe I confirmed to you quite some time ago that I was an"attendee" at that Stray Cats gig and it was indeed the Hammersmith. I don't remember it being "Little Sister" though, but my memory can be a bit shite and it was a bit of a party night. He attended with Charlie Jones (they arrived on his motorbike) and they met up with Carmen there. And yeah, I was at the TTTV Tube taping too and know exactly the stories behind it being pulled, knowing the staff behind the taping too - and there is NO footage of it anywhere in public - Robert paid TTTV £20,000 to have the show pulled and all footage was handed to him as part of the deal. Woody - is that you?
  9. Yeah it is. And Simon Kirke next to her. Benji Le Fevre, Robert , Jimmy, Paul Rodgers, Jonesy and Lionel Bart in the back row. OS - your Lionel Bart guess seems pretty possible - it does look like him - good spot!
  10. These two pages from TBL 4 show Mick Bonham's pics of Robert talking to the lady in question. I'm pretty sure she is on another two at least, with one a front view, but may not be able to dig them out for a while. If I'm the only one looking - please be patient - if other people have them handy - great.
  11. That photo wasn't taken that day. That is not how Robert looked in 1978. *edit* - this pic below is from the date you talk about Steve. Completely different.
  12. She's in at least one other Knebworth pic, I'll try to find it later.
  13. I went to see him in 1981 and was very excited that he was billed as "Jeff Beck and Special Guests" They turned out to be Chas 'n' Dave. Have seen him a few times since and bumped into him at several gigs including Brian Setzer in LA in 1985 and Robert Plant in London a couple of years ago (where quite a few fans choked on their drinks when he popped into the pub opposite for a drink before the gig). Also saw him at the show Paul has posted pics of - or some of it anyway.
  14. I would have loved to have gone to that Moffo.

    Hot pics of Jimmy

It's a great (and quite unique) pic - you should offer it to an agency so it is available for future Zep books, as it gets dull seeing the same old pics all the time. I had seen elsewhere (on this forum) a brief recount of your TSRTS story, if you ever have told it at length - or would like to - or would like to PM it - I'd love to hear it! Great pic - thanks for sharing a treasure!
  16. Oh come on Jeff - Coverdale was opening his shows wth "Bad Boys " just a couple of years ago - aged 53!!! It was totally cringeworthy! Indi and I are great friends and on the same wavelength about this in many ways, (but not all), and I can assure you he doesn't condone Coverdale's 1987 onwards behaviour as 'something he is ashamed of' - Indi knows that he is still exploiting it to this day!

I love your sig photo - did you take it?
  18. There's so many I had posted on the old forum. The 80s mullet had its attractions didn't it?
