This is the first time this material has been released without Jimi Hendrix's name on the cover. Sucker here has this on pre order. Eddie Kramer has supposedly remixed this material and included three previously unreleased tunes. Seventy Pence an LP was all this Knight shit was in the early seventies on budget labels like "Hallmark" and "MFP", the "Get That Feeling" LP on "Capitol" only cost me Fifty Pence in a sale. I'm kicking myself for being suckered into buying this crap again forty odd years on and this time at full price even though I know that most of the Knight stuff is utter shite, but I'm curious to see what EK has managed to do with it. It better be good or I won't buy the next release ... honest.

Saturday March 28 - I have been phoneing, emailing, facebooking, and (twittering?) people all week. It's coming together slowly. Doing everything I can to make this a success. We have a full turkey dinner for all of the kids, we are going to be handing out prizes to everyone, medals, awards. I also came up with a "rockstar idea" - we are having a much photographer then I who is going to snap shots of every one of the kids on the mountain in action from up above on the Chairlift and we are going to print these "live action shots" into big posters for each kid. Hoping to make this dinner brings a smile to everyone of them. I was cornered into this for the soccer team during the summer, and it's me again but this time for the ski team.
Everyone gets an award, even the losers ? I don't get why they do that these days.

Probably already sold out via pre sales from the way folk are talking in other places.

Bitterly cold but calm and dry so I think I'll get the mower out and give the front and back lawns the first cut of the year.

I had just started working for the Post Office, it was my first motorised vehicle, when I think back, it was an embarassment, it sounded like a jar full of wasps.
It took bottle to be seen on a 'Fantic' Joe, well done. The pub I mentioned was in New Brighton, not too far from you, as yours was written off in late 74 'Dude could not have been you.

Absolutely love the covers of Down by the Seaside & Ten years gone.
There's nothing on the CD I don't like, I think 'In the Light' is absolutely stunning. It's interesting that JP likes the Kashmir cover because to me it sounds like how Robert & the SSS might do it.

Got my PG from Amazon on pre-order, and thankfully it is numbered. I had scouted around for others, just in case. If anyone is without a numbered copy, Lostinvinyl (in the UK) has one on eBay - he's confirmed that its numbered and I've seen a photograph of the sticker that confirms this.
Listing is here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291382933000
All the best,
Jason
No need to worry there was STILL a numbered print III(£99) in a shop I visited the other day do I would think the same will happen for PG.

I have a Fantic chopper story. In the mid 70s there was a pub that had three bars
one for straights, one for hippie types and one for bikers. The car park was of course full of motorcycles. One summers day in either 75 or 76 many of our lot were outside drinking and having a toke when this 'dude' pulled in riding his 50cc Fantic chopper moped, he parks up then goes in to the pub to buy a drink.
The Albion as it was then called is built on a hill so the lay of the land is such that the building next door is on a lower level so next to the wall at the side of the pub car park was a flat roofed building that was easy to get up onto.
Somebody decided that it would be amusing to lift the 'dude's' Fantic Chopper up onto the flat roof, so one guy got up onto said flat roof and couple of others wheel the Fantic over to the wall so that between the three of them they did just that.
So the Fantic is up on the roof 'dude' is still inside the pub and all in the carpark just carried on as if nothing had happened. A couple of minutes later 'dude' reappears only to stop dead in his tracks when he sees where his bike is, he says nothing, turns around and goes back into the pub at which point all those in the carpark burst into laughter.
Joke over the bike is taken down from the roof and wheeled back to where 'dude' had originally parked it.
'Dude reappears still saying nothing walks over to his bike gets on it and rides off.
No one got hurt, nothing was damaged 'dude's' feelings may have been slightly hurt, but he was riding a 'Fantic' something that was the object of ridicule as they did look rather silly, (Sorry Joe).

The Cult's Ian Astbury was born in the same maternity hospital as I was.

Looking out of the window I see what looks like a nice sunny day, so I went to the end of my driveway to get the wheelie bin in, bloody 'ell it's freezing, real ball sack tightening weather.

^^^^^^^The Vinyl edition is available to order from 11am 23/2/15, a little earlier for subscribers, I'll be on it tomorrow morning.
Everyone do yourself a favour and at least get the mag for the CD, you will not be disappointed. This an album of truly remarkable covers.

^^^^^ Brilliant juxtaposition. (for want of a better word)

Clare Torry sang a major part in that song, just like those kids in Another Brick in the Wall.On Taurus its just a few bars(not very long)
The kids in ABITW pt2 cannot be compared with Clare Torry, her contribution to TGGITS was some major improvising, all her own idea.. The kids were just singing what they were asked..

A mate of mine reckoned he was a dead ringer for Jimmy Page. I could only find that he " used" a Les Paul and nothing else
I take it your mate is a wearer of spectacles then.

There is more of a legacy than the music to me personally. I do find T-Rex doesn't stand up to too much listening before it gets tired for sure as it is very repetitive but after a break from it I do enjoy it again. The TV show Marc though, there was so much for the kids of the day there and the show casing of punk bands led me to relating to punk and later goth in my teenage years. Marc wasn't exactly hard on the eyes either
Bolan's career was well in the descendant when he made that series for kids TV, big mistake his Hot Love/Get it On/Telegram Sam audience by then had grown up a bit by then and were probably working or at college/uni or in the pub.they were not watching kids TV for sure.T Rex were one of those here today gone tomorrow two big years of fame teenybob wall poster type of acts never really taken seriously.

Mrs CP a fan, me not.
Mrs JTM a fan too, not me though they were thought of as being so uncool amongst my peer group in the good old early seventies.

Did a search and found no thread for T-Rex which I surprised me, thought there would be one. So here is my fav tune by the band, and the line "Love the way you walk" makes me think of my Mrs when she walks. Also love the bit about 'love the golden cat', I dated a blond once before many years ago, and her golden cat was fun indeed.

Golden cat ? A metaphor I take it

It seems odd to me that of all the fans in the world, that I was able to get 1/30000 for each of the releases (1-3 months after their release). Is it possible that it is a scam?
Numbered print box sets are still around, saw this III just the other day and it's been there for months..... A snip at £99.99.
