  1. You can get the kit and refills direct from Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/DISCWASHER-D4-Record...m/dp/B000000X4N
  2. Two things I'd like to add to this. One, just don't overweight the needle, as this can wear out the vinyl prematurely dulling the sound. Two, toilet paper can leave remnants in the grooves, which is what you're trying to eliminate in the first place. A soft felt-type cloth is preferable. As for cleaning solutions, commercial record cleaning solutions are mostly alcohol. Use Isopropyl 90% alcohol or higher. Do NOT use rubbing alcohol or witch hazel as they contain additives that can harm your records. Dishwashing liquid without any moisturizers work well such as Joy or Dawn. It cleans dirty records well, but you have to avoid getting it on the label and rinsing all of it off quickly. Try not to get the label wet. If it does get wet then blot it dry immediately. Do NOT rub it. Try not to use tap water to clean your records. Instead use distilled water, which can be easily found in your supermarket or drugstore. The real trick is to properly rinse all this stuff off your vinyl records and get them dry without scratching them.
  3. Actually it was late July in Oakland, California. My guess is he didn't want a sunburn!
  4. The Fillmore East January 31, 1969. The black man in the front row is original MTV VeeJay JJ Jackson.
  5. "Mr Jimmy" Sakurai? No! I said they match the coat.
  6. He's wearing the same shirt and the jacket that goes with the velvet pants in the photo right above it.
  7. I remember it well! I also remember that I Photoshopped a closeup of the hands playing the guitar and the Pagettes issued a retraction declaring those to be genuine Jimmy hands!
  8. No kidding! It used to be that even us guys could post pics here. But now it's just teenage fantasy central. It's creepy. Isn't that what the "Headmaster Jimmy" and "Mango!" threads were for on the old board? Places specifically for the fangirls to dream and sigh. I have nothing against that. Freedom og speech and all. But this is painful. And not a little embarrassing.
  9. Don't worry. When hockey season starts he'll be able to start posting the monkey again. or this or that
  10. Well, if you look on the main forum index, the subtitle of the What Made You Happy Today thread is Big Things or Small Things. It would appear that's where it started. As to motive, feel free to draw your own conclusions. Though it's pretty clear that this person has no "big things" in their life.
  11. Me and my best friend had a dog when we were teenagers. He'd drink beer, tequila...out of his bowl. When we passed the doobie around, he'd follow it and eat the roach! His name was Bonzo! Great dog. Sincerely though, I do hope Stella turns around and feels better.
  12. Spoiling is good! I've never passed a stone, and god willing I never will. I certainly hope your beloved doesn't have to either. Y'know, I've heard that beer prevents stones. Maybe a bowl of Budweiser is in order! Haha! Love the one you're with!
  13. Sorry to hear that. I wonder if our pets sense what we go through when we know they're suffering. Whether they sense our distress and concern. I know when I've been ill or upset, dogs I've had have behaved differently during those times. I wonder if they know it goes both ways.
  14. Oh he's posted his mission statement many times. It just gets deleted the second the mods spot it. His mission is to make us all miserable because we've exposed him for what he is (ie: a degenerate). He will "always be here to f**k with us "watchdawgs". For some reason he seems to labor under the delusion that he really affects us. Personally to me it's little more than taking out the garbage when the bag gets full.
  15. The truly sad thing is that it would appear that for some people there simply aren't.
  16. No, the poem is gone. So is all the back and forth from the last couple of days. It would appear the mods worked well and hard to clean up the mess while leaving the thread for the folks enjoying it.
  17. Jimmy's said lots of things that proved to be not entirely accurate over the years. Or maybe the photographer used the guitar as a prop for the photo. Dunno.
  18. I forgot all about that site!! I was addicted to it for several days awhile back!
  19. Actually it looks like the lads are getting strangled. Ouch!
  20. I've heard bad things about the Power Brake. Blown heads and such. I used a THD Hot Plate with my Plexi without incident though.
