  1. Feels strange without her around. I dreamed about her alot last night.
  2. Thank you slave to zep, Virginia, Mandy, ninelives, and ally for your kind words. I really miss my cat
  3. Thank you, Patrycja! I appreciate the kind thoughts.
  4. I'm glad you got Sugar on meds, she should be fine now. I know, i take Synthroid, too. Jasmine would chirp along to songs he liked. Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone" was another favorite. I always like the Eagles and when "The End of the Innocence" was released, i became a big fan of Don's solo music, too. For me, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin were always my two favorites (although i discovered Zeppelin first)!
  5. Hi ZeppFanForever. I always enjoy reading your posts and your knowledge on whatever subject you speak of is always great. I think Spats is more of a simple guy while you are a deep thinker. Even an investigator. I haven't followed the theories behind the death of the great Jimi Hendrix, but have enjoyed his music. It's very interesting, and i believe, the whole truth on his death will never be told. RIP Jimi.
  6. I can understand, but then, it may also be theraputic in some ways, too. The only other pet i had that died was my grey cheeked parakeet (who led an awesome life!). Jasmine died at 17 years of age in my dad's hand (one of his/her favorite spots to take a nap, lol). Jasmine loved rock music and Don Henley's "Boys of Summer" was always his favorite song. I always think of Jasmine when i hear it. Nelly Furtado's "I'm Like a Bird" is a real sad one, though i don't listen to that kind of music really, Jasmine was still living when that song came out and so i loved it! Now if i hear it (doesn't happen often) makes me cry. Lets hope Sugar lives a very long life!
  7. Thank you for your warm thoughts, BUCK EYE DOC! My cat had liver failure, the vet says from aging. She was fifteen years and three months. It hit her fast. She ate breakfast today so i thought that was a good sign, but her lethargy increased and by the afternoon she would barely move. I miss her so much right now. She was my first cat. I have another one that's fourteen and i hope this doesn't affect her too much. I have always considered pets part of the family and i know she lived a happy and comfortable life. I am sure i will have tears for a while though. I am sorry about your dog. What a sad story. Pets are loved and they leave an imprint on our hearts. Very odd thing... after i left the vets the first song i heard when i got into the car was "Sheep". My daughter said, "turn that off it's scary". I caught the verse right before the part where they do their twist on Psalm 23. Made me cry listening to it. Seemed so appropriate. Sheep isn't played much on the radio either, so i took it as a sign in a way (and Sheep is one of my all time favorite songs so the meaning was immense for me). Thanks again for your kind words
  8. My cat dying in my arms. At least i won't have to feel guilt over putting her to sleep. Hanging out with my sister and two favorite (ok, two only) nephews. After a very sad day, they made me feel better. Talking to my daughter's Uncle Marcus was nice, too.
  9. Thru With The Two Step... Robert Plant
  10. My sweet cat was really tired and couldn't walk anymore. I took her to the vet to be put to sleep. As i got to the counter to check in she died in my arms. Very sad day.
  11. I would say at least 10 million but less than a billion would suffice
  12. You forgot "Old Yeller" that one makes you cry, lol
  13. I always thought that Lindsey has a bit of a female sounding voice anyway. I love his singing so i'm not critisizing. Anyway, i think Lindsey could sound great doing Christie McVie's songs... and Stevie, too. I wanted to see Fleetwood Mac in Atlantic City, but with money being tight and my work schedule, doesn't look like i'm going to make it.
  14. There's No Way Out of Here... David Gilmour
  15. Hi Danny, The red post didn't translate in the quote Parenting advice is always welcome. Sometimes advice can be of great value. I hear what you are saying about living through your child. I don't think i want to do that so much as i just want to expose her to all the different activities she wants to discover. I don't have the energy to live through her, lol. I will keep this in mind because as she gets older, i may just sway in that direction. Three sons, that sounds like a busy time! I have expensive taste when it comes to dreaming, lol. Funny, my exhusband was like you. I would point out Contemporary houses i loved and he would point out very old world classics, and a Castle was his dream home. Too dark and cold for my taste Back when i was a teenager, some friends said i looked a bit like that girl in Robert's TSRTS sequence. Her name was (source Wikipedia so maybe you need confirmation from another source) Virginia Parker. Have a wonderful weekend, and i would love to see pics! The girl in my avatar and sig is an actress i like (click on the properties and her name and her boyfriends name will appear).
  16. Let it Rain... Eric Clapton
  17. Into The Fire... Bruce Springsteen
  18. Thank you Mandy! She's hanging in there, but getting her to eat is a challenge. I'm happy i have time for a nap today!
  19. Hi Danny, nice story! Sometimes we meet people who leave a lasting impression! Duran Duran, lol. I didn't mean i don't ever want to work again, exactly. I didn't elaborate. My plan would be to involve myself in all the activities my daughter loves. I know some parents try to push their kids into too many things, but my daughter (so far) actually wants to do too many things, lol. Dance, music, swimming, sports, drama, all of it! I would also like to do some charity work. My passion is animals, so if i could contribute in some way to working with animals who are injured or need shelter, that would be nice. Not hands on so much as sponsoring events to raise money for projects benefitting what i love. But knowing i never have to go to work again would be so sweet Oh, it's just a dream that will never come true If i find money on that Maple tree, and it's as much as i suspect, i'll try to spare an extra million for ya! I don't want to live in the Mediterranian, i would like a Mediterranian style house! My favorite type of architecture. Since i live in the states, my first choices would be Jupiter Island, FL or somewhere in Southern California... keep dreaming...
  20. Kittens and all baby animals for that matter, are just so adorable! One thing about females i have seen over the years from having many friends with cats, females don't "spray". I have known quite a few male cats that did, and this was my number one reason for buying female cats
  21. Reminds me of how i feel when i am swimming. Being in a body of water makes me lose myself and feel like i'm transported to the most peaceful state. Especially, when i am back floating. It's just total relaxation for me and i can just forget all else for a few minutes. My mind and body are simultaneously at peace
  22. lol, funny reason for the name. I have always found male cats to be more affectionate. Both mine are female, and Tasha especially, has always been very affectionate. My other cat is loving to those she knows well, but cautious of strangers. Nice chatting with you and i hope snowballs brings you plenty of joy!
  23. I'm sure you miss him Sounds like a really wonderful cat. Tasha likes to sit nearby you or on your lap, but neither of my cats enjoy being held. Do you have any other pets?
