  1. Caught a Light Sneeze... Tori Amos
  2. I'm with you on that. If i didn't have to work tomorrow i might welcome some snow. Since i have to work i'm dreading it miserably. Happier note: my best friend came over, took my new Toshiba Laptop out of the box!!! Set it up for me (not that i couldn't but this was much easier since she could do it without even reading the instructions). Then we had a nice lunch at the best Japanese Restaurant in the area. We ate at the Hibachi table and my daughter really enjoyed the chef cooking in front of us.
  3. Anybody Seen My Baby... The Rolling Stones (one of my faves)
  4. I love Bill Maher and need to see this one. Good thing i'm not religious.
  5. I liked the Monty Python movies many years ago, but the series was what i really enjoyed. It also helped that when i first started watching them it was with a boyfriend who turned me on to them. I can remember us watching one episode of Fawlty Towers one night and laughing non-stop for 15 minutes! Gotta love the dry English humor!
  6. I agree. They are "mad", lol. I used to love to watch Monty Python, but when i found Fawlty Towers, i knew which one of the gang was my favorite!
  7. I haven't seen that movie in years (maybe mid 80's)... John Cleese is one of my very favorite comedians!
  8. I really like this Toshiba because it has what i need and the large screen is a plus for me. My sister almost talked me into a Dell (was going to buy on-line) but when i was at Best Buy today i saw the laptop i really liked when i was looking online. So i will let you know how much i like it when it's up and running! If my PC wasn't having so many problems i would have never bought anything new!
  9. A what It's on the list, lol, and i should have DSL before the next "decade"...
  10. After 12 years i have a new computer! Bought my first laptop. A Toshiba with 3G's (not that i need that much) and a 17" screen (which i wanted). Since i don't plan to move it around much i wanted a big screen. Now if i can get it out of the box and running by the end of the week i will really be happy!
  11. There Goes Another Love Song... The Outlaws
  12. Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around The World... U2
  13. Dogs...Pink Floyd changed my mind
  14. This is funny, i had never heard of this until this morning when i heard this song: "Mucho Mungo/Mt. Elga" (John Lennon, Harry Nilsson) on Breakfast with the Beatles (local station hosted by Beatles Freak! Andre Gardner). John produced the record, and played on the aforementioned song. This album was from 1974. Bob Dylan also played on a song.
  15. Glad to hear your dog is coming along It got up to 66 degrees here today (that's a heatwave as far as February is concerned). All week the weather has been warm (high 40's and up). I love avoiding the snow in the winter!
  16. Thank you Penny Lane! My dad needs open heart surgery, and is still thinking about it (although he will do it). Almost ten years ago he had the same surgery, but under life or death circumstances, and beat the odds and made it through (after a long recovery). He is afraid, but also very brave. I appreciate your kinds words! My little girl looks up to my dad like her own (since her dad doesn't care)... so i can't afford to lose him.
  17. Driving on a road i don't travel on much anymore. It's a shortcut from point a to point b, about 2 miles long, very winding, with large, beautiful houses (the kind that are set far back from the road with lots of ground). I was actually enjoying the way the white snow gleamed on the houses, lawns and trees. Considering i hate winter and snow, i was surprised to see everything looking so nice and calming to me. I was also happy my daughter has been on good behavior today, while i struggled with a headache. She was also a very good girl at the hospital where we went to visit my dad and at the restaurant my mom and i took her to for dinner. I am certain everything will turn out well
  18. Currently reading this series with my 4 year old...such endearing characters in these books, especially the main one!
  19. Shine On You Crazy Diamond...Pink Floyd
  20. Yeah, i was so bummed! I had to give my best friend my Kinks ticket to sell at the show. I told her if you want to, just give it away (my guess is at that time the ticket cost either $6.50/$7.50 or $8.50, lol) because that was what ticket prices were back in 1979. So some lucky person got to see the show for free!
