  1. Shame on me for not realizing! I heard Denis was on but it didn't even click!
  2. Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show just starting.... John Paul Jones will be performing!
  3. Thundercrack... Bruce and the E street band
  4. Thank you, Virginia! You know the joy i speak of I am very excited to watch her perform at her recital! I know what you will be doing that day and any short work week is nice!
  5. Having the weekend off, having a short week coming up (only working two days!). Watching my daughter practice for her upcoming ballet recital (she's good!)
  6. I think i'm gonna buy a couple chocolate bunnies today if i ever get to the market. Reading this thread put me in the mood. Although i don't celebrate Easter, my mom is making dinner at her house tomorrow night. Turkey and all the fixings (stuffing, potatoes, string bean casserole, salad, biscuits, etc..) Happy to have the weekend off!
  7. Under the Milky Way... The Church
  8. ^ Asheville (the downtown area in particular) was to me a very small version of a big city "downtown". I found the people to be like what i encounter everyday (a mix of personalites). The outskirts of the city were nice (the mountains and tourist areas). I have yet to visit, but i think a place like St. Augustine, Florida is what i'm looking for. Okay, so this made me feel ecstatic! My daughter started spelling words (out loud) yesterday. We are in a restaurant and she is spelling the menu items! Then she looks up at the EXIT sign and spells the letters and says the word! It's so great to watch a four year old learn! It's even better to see how happy it makes her when i get excited over it!
  9. Doesn't matter, i plan on saving a little dough so i can purchase it without guilt! My daughter being a Beatles fan since she could talk/sing will adore listening to this catalog with me!!! You know, i first listened to the Beatles when i was 13 going on 14 (had been a Zeppelin fan for a couple of years by then) because new friends and a new boyfriend in particular played their music while we hung out and partyed (spelling?) ... but what also made my love for the Beatles grow strong, was the fantastic DJ's back in the mid to late 70's who played the Breakfast with the Beatles every Sunday morning, and many all Beatles weekends, or Beatles A to Z... Helen Light was the first one i listened to who played them lovingly every Sunday morning. Great music on the radio back then! Do you have radio stations today where you live and have lived that devote time to the Beatles?
  10. The ticket prices varied, but the less popular seats were priced reasonably (and for a band of this stature, i would say the prices were very good)! My seat was $96, but i believe they started around $50 (my sister purchased them so i don't have the exact amounts). If you like their music, you won't be disappointed.
  11. I can officially say U2 end of September since i now have tickets! I would love to see Bruce this month (still deciding if i want to spend the money) and i'm thinking about the Allman Brothers Band this summer. I saw ABB back in 1981 and would really love to see them again. Actually, i would like to see Fleetwood Mac, too. Gonna have to check out the date.
  12. lol, i think you get an inflatable Beatle of your choice with each purchase that may be why the pirce tag is so high! Good to see you back, Dzldoc! How about we share the cost and split the collection in half
  13. I checked the price, it's a hundred million dollars! Great news, brought to me first (before i saw the posts today here) by local great Andre Gardner (WMGK)... one of the biggest Beatles freaks alive (and does a great Breakfast with the Beatles) every Sunday morning, and a Beatles break every afternoon at approximately 4:15pm! I am going to save up for this collection!
  14. The Last Resort... The Eagles
  15. The Last Worthless Evening... Don Henley
  16. I Saw Her Standing There... The Beatles btw... great song choice, middlezep! My favorite off the new record!
  17. Congrats, manderlyh! I am happy my sister got us U2 tickets (yesterday) for Giant Stadium! 5 months away, lol, so something to look forward to alright!
  18. N.W.O. (New World Order) ... Ministry
  19. ^one of my top 20 favs from U2... When I Look At The World.... U2
  20. Virginia, Since the seats are set up in the round, you won't feel so far away! I am excited for September, but i don't want to rush through the spring and summer months, lol.
  21. It's a Beautiful Day!!!!! Awesome, Virginia, you are in for a very special show!!!! Where are your seats? My sister didn't get the tickets she was supposed to, but we are going to get them from an agent. We will be at the show no matter what In the meantime, i'm hoping they will play in my city so we don't have to travel 100 miles. I'm happy Virginia will be seeing U2, and i bought some really nice fresh fruit today! Four days off of work (started yesterday) is another blessing!
  22. I think it's safe to say winter weather is over!!! It's not unheard of to have a snowstorm in April, but with the forecast for the next week, highly unlikely one will occur. Current temp is 64F, cloudy, was sunny earlier in the day ( i slept through most of it, ), 74% humidity. Rest of the week temps high 50's to mid 60's with some chance of rain... i love SPRING!
