  1. Well after a day of numbness, I only have the following to offer. I don't have any love for either guy, but both Steve Mariucci and Rex Ryan immediately analyzed the two-point conversion attempt properly after the game. No crying here though. It was a heck of a game and a damn strange one at that. As a fan, I also enjoyed the post game comment by Hutchinson. "We'll see you at our house." Could be. As far as "Gamblin' Dan" goes, he meant exactly what he told his team before that drive started. "We're going down to score and going for two". He would have gone for it again if they were on the 15-yard line. From the fake punts to the 4th and 5's, he doesn't care. He'll roll the dice no matter the odds, and he usually does it when he can't trust his tired defense. There wasn't much to lose in this game from our end, and he wanted no part of OT. Ask Tyler Smith why. As for the halftime activities, I enjoyed "Achilles Last Stand" from Knebworth.
  2. Cleveland W Detroit (that's a heart, not a head pick) Baltimore Buffalo Chicago Houston Indy Jacksonville L.A. Rams Philly Tampa Bay San Francisco Seattle Denver Kansas City Green Bay
  3. Most of Motown woke up Christmas Day quite content. Looking forward to this weekend's game in Dallas, as there really isn't much to lose. Most people seem to think the Lions don't have a chance in the playoffs, but I've watched enough football to know that if you can run, you have a chance against anybody. No offense Rick, and I do root for the Bills, but I think your defense is the dirtiest unit in the league. I like Jake Browning, but he needs some serious lessons in taking care of the football. It's not your job to make something out of nothing. Throw the ball away!
  4. A wild card game is going to be exclusively streamed on the Peacock Network this year. Good luck with that! What amazes me is the lousy technology and broadcasts people are willing to put up with. Frozen screens, audio problems, amateur broadcasters from hell. My favorite is when they give you every stat on the screen you never wanted, but just can't seem to manage to tell or show you what down it is and how far to go for a 1st, like that's secondary information. I noticed the NFL Network never shows the National Anthem being performed. I don't have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is when you hear the National Anthem being played in the background, and the jack-ass announcers are actually on the field talking while it's being played, even with the lights lowered. As far as I'm concerned, that's more disrespectful than showing someone taking a knee.

  6. I couldn't have asked for a finer NFL weekend. Seattle loses tonight and we're in the playoffs.
  7. L.V. Raiders W Cincinnati Pittsburgh Detroit Atlanta Cleveland Tampa Bay Miami New Orleans Tennessee Kansas City San Francisco L.A. Rams Dallas Baltimore Philly
  8. The Detroit Pistons have tied their franchise record of 21 consecutive losses. Next up is the league record of 28 losses by the 76ers. That was done over two seasons though. Last night they lost the rebound battle 53 to 35. Tough to win a game with stats like that.
  9. Not worried a bit. The Lions aren't going anywhere in the playoffs anyway. Curious as to why Goff felt it necessary to wear a glove on his throwing hand. It just wasn't that cold out. A very entertaining game and the Bears deserved to win. We were lucky to split with them. If we can't split with the Vikings, we don't deserve to win the division. Chiefs lose 4 of 6, Eagles pretty much dominated, and 7 teams at 7-6 in the AFC. The next 4 weeks should be interesting.
  10. Well at this point, we're tied for the biggest divisional lead and Minnesota and Green Bay still have a game to play against each other. If Minnesota puts themselves in position and beats us twice, we don't deserve to win the division. I don't care about seeding or what happens in the playoffs. Win your division for the first time in 30 years and show some resemblance to a normal NFL franchise.
  11. I don't have Amazon Prime, but the NFL Network shows a replay twice after the game starting at Midnight. I record it and watch it the next morning. I do the same on Monday & Tuesday morning if the game runs late. This works out quite well, except a good game will have me all coffee geeked by about 9am. It's kind of like West coast action on the East coast, only earlier. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bears beat the Lions Sunday. Splitting with our division home and away used to contribute mightily to our annual 5 or 6 wins.
  12. He'll never come out. Now we have to endure the trial of his half-wit low life parents. Despicable by anyone's measure. Take care Red. Covid aside, there's some weird shit floating around out there right now. Seems everyone's had a bout of something.
  13. Singapore Sling Strain - Cannabis Strain Information - THC Design I believe when listed, they actually break down flavoring in chemical terms these days. I never pay attention though. The best pine flavor I've enjoyed always seems to come from "Snoop's Dream" or "Blue Dream", which is a sativa. Very tasty and uplifting and keeps you from being a couch potato. The taste of dispensary indicas seem all over the place, depending on your own individual taste buds.
  14. Pittsburgh L Atlanta Baltimore Detroit Cincinnati Cleveland New Orleans Houston Minnesota San Francisco Kansas City L.A. Chargers Dallas Miami Green Bay *I call bullshit on the NFL having bye weeks this late in the season. That should all be over by week 12 if not earlier.
  15. Ethan Crumbley, Oxford High School mass shooter who is being sentenced today. Now go to 1:37 of the Rush video.
  16. Easy...start Mitch Trubisky at QB. New England's cornerbacks were salivating every time he dropped back to throw one of his errant puffballs. The biggest mystery is how Pittsburgh was 7-5 going into that game. Smoke & mirrors. Now it's possible that 3 teams from the NFC North could make the playoffs. Who would have thought that in week 5?
  17. No terp info listed. Some growers provide that info, but I don't think it's required by State law. 26.11% thc, 1.41 cbd. That was 6 mix and match eigths for $100 bucks. I wanted the same because I'd had it before. Nevada was interesting. Many of the dispensaries are run by native Americans, so you don't pay any State tax. Bought 5 1 gram pre-rolls for $25 bucks. Pretty decent too. After 'running the gauntlet' of illegal States through Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, and especially Utah, my reward was the legal stretch through Nevada, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. Took a 3 day break in Laughlin, Nevada where you could smoke in your hotel room. Quite enjoyable, as it was 105 degrees outside. I'm an indica guy myself because I basically partake in the evening, but I enjoy sativa edibles during the day because they don't bog you down. Good for hiking and exploring.
  18. (8) Photographer captures intense battle between 2 HUGE ferocious bears - YouTube I'm sure some people have seen this, but if you haven't, it's worth a view. Made the hair on my neck stand on end a couple times.
  19. I like the spirit of the commercial with the 3 elder ladies sledding, but notice they don't show you their struggle walking back up that hill? I was good for about 3 times when I was 16.
  20. As in any business, some companies consistently provide a better product than others. Couldn't pass up a Black Holiday deal of 6 1/8ths for a hundred bucks. 'Singapore Sling' is the product. They claim it's a hybrid, but like most dispensary hybrids, it leans toward sativa, and it's as tasty as it looks. Smoked a bit last night, and the next thing you know the tv is off and I'm sitting in the dark listening to Alan Parson's "I Robot" for the first time in forever.
  21. It's like choosing between a root canal and an extraction, but I'll take Pittsburgh tonight.
  22. Weather may be a huge factor in several games this weekend. The Chicago forecast is for 35 mph winds and possible snow/freezing rain. Jared Goff is already shivering. Sure is dangerous to be standing on an NFL sideline lately. That poor linesman in New Orleans looked like he suffered a compound fracture. The Bears suck. Their running back Herbert runs into his own blockers half the time, and he seems awful slow hitting the holes. Besides his issues with protecting the football, Justin Fields seems to try doing too much to make up for the lack of talent around him. I don't see how drafting another QB changes that. They need some beefalos up front on both sides of the ball.
