  1. How's it going "the Pagemeister" as well as our fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I hope all is still well with all of you. A new week has begun and may it bring rewarding benefits to all. I have to mow my yard this morning. I swear, the front yard alone is a half acre, my back yard is close to a half acre. This should be very good exercise for me. Right now, I'm listening to the song "Working Man" from RUSH'S 1974 Debut album. Have a great day everyone and ROCK ON!
  2. How's it going fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I just got home from the bar with my girlfriend at its time for me to go to bed. Before I do, I would like to dedicate a song to my girlfriend. This song has been very dear to me for many years. This song has so much meaning for me, the name of it is "You Are So Beautiful" by JOE COCKER! Goodnight everyone and ROCK ON!
  3. How's it going fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I hope all is well with all of you. You mean to tell me that no one likes BTO? How can this be? Ha Ha! I know that someone here has to like them. Please enlighten me. In the mean time, take care and ROCK ON my fellow ZEPPELIN fanatics!
  4. How's it going "The Pagemeister" as well as our fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I hope all is well with all of you. At least I slept a little, that's about as much as can be expected from me. Ha Ha! Right now, I'm listening to "Me And Bobby McGee" by the late great JANIS JOPLIN. Have a great evening and ROCK ON fellow ZEPPELIN fanatics!
  5. How's it going "tom kid?" I hope all is still well with you. I'm still awake! I pulled another all nighter. I've been awake since Friday but I'm going to try to get some sleep. I've had problems with Insomnia for quite some time now, however, the partying doesn't help me out one bit. Ha Ha! As for Tempe, I don't think that you are being harsh at all. Tempe has to rank as one of the band's all-time worse performances ever. I'm glad that you feel that Oakland was better than Tempe but seeing that I was there and all, in my opinion, Oakland sounds worse. Oakland's performance sounded off key, at least that's my opinion. Jimmy sat down for a lot of the songs performed that day (23 July 1977) since he was out of it. I understand that the 24 July 1977 performance was no better than the 23 July 1977 show since a friend of mine who attended the 24 July 1977 show let me know the details. Like I said, and to end my comment on a good note, LED ZEPPELIN'S worse performance was better than many band's greatest performances. Its been great talking to you but its time for me to hit the mattress. ROCK ON "tom kid!"
  6. How's it going "tom kid?" Damn, I sure wish that I was a teenager again in the 1970's. But then again, I act like a teenager now at 48 when I want to. Ha Ha! It makes me feel great talking to a fellow ZEPPELIN fanatic that is a young teenage man such as yourself. The young men and woman of today are the ones that are going to help keep the ZEPPELIN legend and legacy alive. Thats funny that we're talking about the July shows. Do you have the Seattle show on DVD? In my opinion, the Seattle 17 July 1977 show was not the greatest as compared to The Forum 23 June 1977 show that I witnessed in person. Thinking about it now, in my opinion, it would seem that ZEPPELIN'S performances were going down hill after the Seattle 17 July 1977, then on to Tempe 20 July 1977 and finally to Oakland 23 & 24 July 1977. Isn't that weird? ROCK ON!
  7. How's it going "tom kid?" I hope all is well witn you. I've heard this show as well and it does not sound too great. The Seattle 17 July 1977 and the Oakland 23 July 1977 does not sound any better either. However, I have heard, seen and witnessed ZEPPELIN at their very best in person at The Forum on 23 June 1977 so I know what ZEPPELIN is truly capable of doing live. I've said this before but the mighty LED ZEPPELIN'S worse night of performing sounds better than any other band's greatest night of performing. Thanks for your true honesty, I like that. ROCK ON!
  8. How's it going "The Pagemeister?" I hope all is well with you. It looks like I'm going to pull another all nighter. At the moment, I'm listening to "Hotel California" by THE EAGLES. ROCK ON!
  9. How's it going "The Pagemeister" as well as our fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I hope all is well with all of you. Forgive me, I'm pretty ripped right now! At the moment, I'm listening to "Mama, I'm Coming Home" by OZZY OSBOURNE. ROCK ON!
  10. How's it going "The Pagemeister?" I hope all is well with you. Right now, I'm listening to some of my BEATLES bootleg CD's beginning with THE WHITE ALBUM unreleased demos and outtakes. At the moment, I'm listening to an acoustic version of a song called "Nature's Children." The music of this song would later be used as the music for "Jealous Guy." It sounds incredible. ROCK ON!
  11. How's it going fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I always hope for the best for all of you. I'm going to do my best in writing this thread considering that I have been out partying all night at one of my favorite night clubs in the greater San Antonio area. However, I still can't figure out how the party ended up at my house! Oh well, shit happens! I haven't written a thread in a long time so please bare with me. The 1970's band that I am about to write a thread on needs no introduction the world over. Somewhere during this lifetime of ours, we have heard their music somewhere along the way. We have heard their music blasting through jukeboxes in bars, we have heard them blasting through Boomboxes at numerous party's in the parks and beaches and so on...etc etc etc. If you haven't heard them yet, after reading this thread, I feel confident that you will! The band that I am talking about is none other than BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVE. Their music is their story. So please join me in taking a Rock n' Roll journey down memory lane in a time machine, relax and enjoy the ride. And away we go! BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVE will forever go down in Rock n' Roll history and be remembered for composing and recording some of Rock's all-time greatest sacred 70's anthems ever. This legendary band would hail from Canada and be one of the first Canadian bands, besides THE GUESS WHO (Another Bachman Band), to ever gain popularity and recognition here in the United States. Originally called BRAVE BELT, the band would soon change its name to BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVE in 1972. When original founding members comprising of Guitarist and leader Randy Bachman, Guitarist Chad Allan who would soon be replaced by another Bachman Brother, Guitarist Tim Bachman, Bassist C.F. "Fred" Turner and Drummer, another Bachman Brother named Robbie Bachman joined forces, BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVE would be born and the band would soon give Rock n' Roll a good swift kick in the ass. BTO would have a great run and release many great albums as well as Rock anthem songs throughout the 1970's up to 1979. If you haven't heard BTO, and are very curious, I highly advise that you start out by buying a greatest hits package on CD. In my opinion, I would start out by buying BTO'S GREATEST BY BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVE. On this CD, you will hear classics such as the beautifully slow and soothing Rocker "Lookin' Out For No. 1," the incredible Hard Rocker "Roll On Down The Highway," the electrifying Hard Rocker "Hey You," the slow turned fast acoustic and electric Hard Rocker "Freeways," the forever BTO stamped trademark ass kickin' Hard Rocker "Takin' Care Of Business," the amazing Hard Rocker "Down Down," another blistering BTO stamped trademark ass kicking Hard Rocker "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet," the breathtaking BTO stamped trademark Hard Rocker "Let It Ride," the slow ass kicking Hard Rocker "Flat Broke Love," the uplifting electric acoustic funkish Rocker "Can We All Come Together," the slow turned Hard Rocker "Rock And Roll Nights" and the Jamaican Hard Rocker "Jamaica." And these songs are just some of the many great songs that BTO has recorded and contributed to their glorious musical catalog and resume. In my opinion, what "Takin' Care Of Business" and "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" did for BTO, is what "Highway To Hell" and "You Shook Me All Night Long" did for AC/DC. BTO, along with their many albums and greatest hits albums filled with their many great songs, should be a valuable and important part of everyone's own personal music collection. This legendary band and their music has without a doubt, already proven to stand the test of time and will always be around to be enjoyed, appreciated and cherished for many years to come, NOW AND FOREVER. In closing, despite the many numerous band personnel changes through the years, BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVE has persevered and successfully continued in releasing many more albums and performing live before sell-out audiences the world over up to this very day. Just with their 1970's classic song anthems ALONE, I honestly do believe that BTO is here to stay and isn't going anywhere anytime soon. With this in mind, BTO has forever left their place and mark in Rock n' Roll history and their many contributions, accomplishments and achievements which qualifies them as a successful band, will never be forgotten or denied. And as the saying goes, AND THE REST IS ROCK N' ROLL HISTORY! I hope that you enjoyed reading this new thread, I welcome all comments from all of you so please enlighten me. In the mean time, take care of yourselves and ROCK ON my fellow ZEPPELIN fanatics!
  12. How's it going "MisterMcLov1n" as well as the others? I hope all is well with all of you. I still can't sleep! But then again, how can I when both my home and cell phone's rings constantly. Please don't get me wrong, I really don't care, its just me feeling needed. There are so many STEVIE WONDER albums that I would not even know where to begin. Since you are the curious beginner, I would recommend a greatest hits package. There are so many STEVIE WONDER greatest hits albums on CD but I would highly recommend the same one that "Deborah J" mentioned which is STEVIE WONDER'S "Original Musiquarium 1, Volume's 1 & 2." The other one is STEVIE WONDER, "Love Songs, 20 Classic Hits." This is a great album if you really want to get aquainted with some of his older music material from the 1960's. In my opinion, these would be great albums to begin with. Good luck with your musical journey in finding and seeking the perfect STEVIE WONDER album that best suits you. In the mean time, take care and ROCK ON!
  13. How's it going "MisterMcLov1n" and "Fan_S.?" I hope all is well with both of you. I LOVE STEVIE WONDER! I love all of the follow songs by STEVIE WONDER: (1.) My Cherie Amour (2.) I Was Made To Love Her (9.) Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours (10.) Superstition (11.) Living For The City (12.) You Are The Sunshine Of My Life (13.) Higher Ground (14.) Sir Duke (15.) That's What Friends Are For (With Dionne Warwick, Elton John and Gladys Knight) These are just a few of the MANY STEVIE WONDER songs that I love. In true retrospect, I love all of the Motown acts as did Bonzo. ROCK ON!
  14. How's it going "The Pagemeister?" I hope all is well with you. I can't sleep! I probably won't get any sleep until Sunday since I'm going out tonight also. At the moment, I'm listening to "Hello It's Me" by Todd Rundgren. Have a great day and ROCK ON fellow ZEPPELIN fanatics!
  15. How's it going "The Pagemeister" as well as our fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I hope all is still well with all of you. I've been partying all night at Bogies, one of my many favorite night club spots to go to in the greater San Antonio area. Afterwards, the party ended up at my house with the last of my guests just leaving before 6 A.M. I guess that I should be thinking about getting some sleep now. Before I usually go to bed, I always listen to the immortalized 1968 BEATLES classic song "Goodnight" from the Famous WHITE ALBUM. My Mom used to sing my new born sister and I that song to help us sleep at night as kids. I will end this comment with the quote at the end of "Goodnight" which goes "Goodnight everyone, everyone everywhere (Goodnight). ROCK ON fellow ZEPPELIN fanatics!
  16. How's it going "The Pagemeister?" I hope all is still well with you. WOW! I'm listening to the live version of "Kashmir" from the bootleg entitled LED ZEPPELIN "OUT OF THE TILES" 3-CD set. This live version of "Kashmir" kicks ass! Have a great weekend and ROCK ON fellow ZEPPELIN fanatics!
  17. How's it going "The Pagemeister" as well as our fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I hope all is well with all of you. I-T-'-S F-R-I-D-A-Y!!!!!!!!!! Right now, I'm listening to THE BEST OF SANTANA VOLUME 2 CD. At this very moment, I'm listening to the live version of "Black Magic Woman/Gypsy Queen." WOW, Carlos Santana's guitar style sounds so much like that of one Mr. Peter Green. If you don't believe me, listen to the song "The Super-Natural" off the A HARD ROAD album by JOHN MAYALL and the BLUESBREAKERS. Listening to this song, you will know exactly where Carlos Santana learned his trademark guitar style from. In the mean time, have a great day, take care and ROCK ON fellow ZEPPELIN fanatics!
  18. How's it going "The Pagemeister?" I hope all is well with you. Right now, I'm listening to the 2003 release BACK TO THE TRENCHES, LIVE 1972-1984 2-CD set by NAZARETH. This live collection kicks ass. Have a great day and ROCK ON!
  19. How's it going "The Pagemeister" as well as our fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I hope all is still well with all of you. At the moment, I'm ROCKING OUT to THE BEST OF SANTANA Volume 1 CD. I'm listening to "Black Magic Woman/Gypsy Queen," SANTANA immortalized the classic PETER GREEN composition and took the song to a different level unimagined. ROCK ON!
  20. How's it going "The Pagemeister?" I always hope that all is well with you. I love this thread! Right now, I'm ROCKING OUT and at the same time, blasting my computer sound system to the VOODOO CHILD, THE JIMI HENDRIX COLLECTION 2-CD set disc 2 starting with the blistering live version of "Fire." Man, this guy could play! ROCK ON!
  21. How's it going "The Pagemeister?" I hope all is still well with you. Right now, I'm listening to VAN HALEN'S FAIR WARNING album from 1981 starting with the song "Mean Street." I love the main lyrics which quote: ...And Someone Said Fair Warning Lord will strike that poor boy down, Turned from hunted into hunter Went to hunt somebody down... Have a great day and ROCK ON my fellow ZEPPELIN fanatics!
  22. How's it going "Dzldoc" A.K.A. Charles my good friend? I hope all is well with you and your son. You will love this album for sure. ROCK ON my friend!
  23. How's it going "lzzoso?" I hope all is well with you. In my opinion, without disclosing too much information, Charles Manson hands down. I'm not proud to admit this but I met Manson face to face while he was in Vacaville Prison in Vacaville, California in the 1980's. I know a security guard that is a personal friend of mine and I met him for lunch that day. In my opinion, staring in Manson's eyes face to face, he steal's part of your soul. Do you know why the judicial system will never give Manson the death penalty? Because if the judicial system does, they would all fear that the now millions of Manson followers out here among us will go on a killing spree. Believe it or not, the judicial system is afraid of Charles Manson. ROCK ON "lzzoso!"
  24. How's it going "The Pagemeister?" I hope all is still well with you. Right now, I'm listening to the JEFFERSON AIRPLANE/JEFFERSON STARSHIP/STARSHIP collection on CD presented by VH-1's Behind The Music series. This is a very good compilation album. It has all of the usual hits such as "Somebody To Love," "White Rabbit," "Miracles," "With Your Love," "Count on Me," "Runaway," "Jane," "No Way Out," "We Built This City," "Sara" and "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" to name a few. Its great when you can listen to all of these great hits on one CD. ROCK ON!
  25. How's it going "The Pagemeister?" I hope all is still well with you. To make it short, quite simply, "Rock 'N' Roll Doctor" by BLACK SABBATH. ROCK ON!
