Evster2012 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 The L.A. Lakers win their 15th NBA championship, beating the Orlando Magic 99-86 Quote
Evster2012 Posted June 15, 2009 Author Posted June 15, 2009 I miss the Bulls with Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Armstrong, Perdue, Harper, Kerr, Kukoc, Longley, Salley, Caffey, Wennington, Buechler, etc. That was a (not necessarily "the") Golden Age. I really haven't been excited by hoops since. Quote
Electrophile Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 I grew up in Chicago remember, so I watched all those teams as they struggled and then started winning championships left and right. You could almost guarantee every June, there being a rally in Grant Park. Loved it. I quit watching basketball when Reinsdorf and Co. dismantled the team. Quote
Wolfman Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 I can't stand Kobe but I'll give him his due. I lived in LA for eight years so I really grew to dislike the Lakers. Lots of Lakers fans are frontrunners. They love Dallas in football, Lakers in basketball, Yankess in baseball, and Detroit in hockey. Lame. Great organization though. Wish my team was run like LA's. GO SIXERS...maybe we'll have a chance in like five years from now!!! Quote
redrum Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 I'm 3 feet 6 inches tall with size 26 feet. You think they'd let me play in the NBA? Quote
