Starbreaker
I'm not sure personally whether or not the 787 will be sucessful, as I'm not an industry insider nor expert on airliners. Black Dawg, do you work in the aerospace industry?
BonzoLikeDrumer
Cool bean's, but Air Bus is light years ahead of all the US market companies!
Starbreaker
Cool bean's, but Air Bus is light years ahead of all the US market companies! By building a mammoth aircraft that 99% of the airports on the planet can't support?
redrum
Built by Mattell?
JimmyPage1977
Cool bean's, but Air Bus is light years ahead of all the US market companies! Really? Can you explain why you think that? I'm fascinated by your comment. Please enlighten me!
Poindexter
If Boeing is to compete and regain dominance, its in the small to medium market and not the flying bus which is fine for trans-continental flights. The 767 and 777 can hold their own with any Airbus. The only advantage I see of the Airbus 380 is a 4 engine jet thats not restricted by ETOPS rules. Wasn`t the 787 orginally designated the 7E7? More full-efficient, complete with winglets.

BonzoLikeDrumer
Here is some thing's to check out.... http://www.smarttravelasia.com/AirbusVsBoeing.htm http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/4481983.stm Meet the replacement for the C130.... http://www.airbus.com/en/myairbus/headlinenews/index.jsp Now just take a look inside there factories.. Airbus... http://www.theage.com.au/photogallery/travel/inside-the-superjumbo-factory/20090408-a0gq.html?selectedImage=1 Boeing... http://images.smh.com.au/2008/11/13/273991/BoeingFactory_gallery__600x357-420x0.jpg The Airbus factory looks a lot more organized and cleaner. Being that I have worked in some factories in my life time I can tell you that an organized and clean factory is a better way to go! Now, I know that no one is perfect and Boeing has been an innovator and will continue to make good product's but, IMHO I see Airbus as a better all around aircraft. Which Aircraft are you talking about specifically. For the record, I do like the majority of the aircraft that Airbus produces; I'm just not a fan of the A380. kirchzep27
i reccomend the -iron maiden video -flight 666, my brother was raving about it and then showed me a portion of it last week when i was working over there. its cool...maiden played alot of places in south america that they never played and the footage is real. its amazing to see how much music means to people. hey sorry for shifting gears w/the thread but my father and grandfather worked for -pan am and they definately should have gotten a bail out back then. Not that far off topic really "middlezep", Bruce Dickinson flies (that is, he is their pilot) a 747.
JimmyPage1977
I read your articles and actually found them to point towards the Boeing Dreamliner as the better plane for the future..... thanks for posting. The pics of the factories was a ridiculous comparison, BTW! The Boeing Plant is every bit as spic and span as the Airbus plant. You might note that the wings were on the Boeing plane, whereas the Airbus pic was taken in a "pre-wing" assembly area. I prefer Boeing's plant...in Everett, Washington, USA.
