Around the world - music from other countries

I discovered these guys a few years back and was pretty amazed by this particular song.

The band is Dewa, and they are kinda like the Led Zeppelin of Indonesia.

They've been around a while, and have an intensely loyal fanbase.

This particular song is Pangeran Cinta, and it actually has a few licks reminiscent of Immigrant Song.

I like the mix of chunky guitar and electronics.

It's a definite jam.

Not bad, but it sould be less electronic, however the guitar solo is cool.

If you allow me, I post here a song from Alba Hyseni. She is "one of the most important alto/contra-alto singers of the Hungarian underground music scene" with Albanian origins. http://www.last.fm/music/Alba+Hyseni

As for the music, it isn't my world, but I really like her unique dark voice.

I definitely like the direction this thread is going.

Awesome stuff.

The odd thing about the first song I posted is how I discovered it.

It was the background music on some girl's blog.

I did all kind of HTML page info research to find the name of the song/band.

I may even have posted a question on her blog.

I eventually got the name and tracked it down.

Well worth the effort.

Not sure where this guy's from, but got turned on to this last night.

DJ Robert Passera - A place in the sun

I really love the high energy of this track, especially where the sax kicks in around 2:50

Her voice is certainly unique, I've never heard anything like it! Thanks for sharing.

Since this seems it will (hopefuly) be a thread without judgement, I'd like to post what I've been loving lately. This is Gers, he's Dutch. I really like rap so why not neder hop and he's kinda cute.

The geezer is a bit overhyped at the moment, especially at pre-teen shows (and at every bloody festival in the country to promote his only album).

....Some Musical Colors and Textures of Our very Own Robert Plant and James Patrick Page...

From Bombay, Evergreen Voice of Immortal Rafi Live with Symphony Orchestra, early 70's, minus the Watermark, great glimpse otherwise

from that memorable era...

She has a very cool voice indeed, thanks for sharing.

And I really like your previous post ( In Aankhon Ki Masti Ke), that's very beautiful.
