Charles J. White
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PKW9683RzU I love how he phrases, "don't let him steal your heart away", it's another one of the those perfect songs
Strider
Nearly every Chuck Berry song is perfect. Well, except for "My Ding-a-Ling"...I'll just pretend that doesn't exit, hehe. The Chuck Berry catalogue is one of the cornerstones of Rock and Roll. More so than Elvis Presley as great as he was, Chuck Berry deserves the title "King of Rock and Roll". chef free
That's true! If there is an "Inventor of Rock and Roll" it's Chuck Berry! (Or maybe Little Richard!)

Charles J. White
This lyric is truly what we as young kids thought when we discovered rock n roll for the first time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8RDhGEzy5Y

luvlz2
Suprising he has not made the rock and roll hall of fame yet, he recently said that they need to do it fast, before he gets too much older...

Roll over Beethoven and tell luvlz2 the news...Chuck Berry was one of the original inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986!!! lipslikecherries
Chuck Berry is very cool! A friend turned me onto him a long time ago. I always liked Maybellene! He did some other nice songs like this one:
Trem-O-Verb
I'm voting for "Brown Eyed Handsome Man." Only Chuck can tell a great story like that in less than 2:20. IMO, the live version of it from "Hail! Hail! Rock 'N Roll" with Robert Cray is great too...

Disco Duck
Suprising he has not made the rock and roll hall of fame yet, he recently said that they need to do it fast, before he gets too much older... I had assumed they voted him in a long time ago. IMO, he's one of the founding fathers of rock and roll. I wonder what the holdup is? luvlz2
I had assumed they voted him in a long time ago. IMO, he's one of the founding fathers of rock and roll. I wonder what the holdup is? They did, he was one of the original inductees back in 1986 (thanks Strider). I watched a story on nbc's nightly news a few weeks ago about Chubby Checker saying the rock and roll hall of fame better induct him soon before he gets too old, and this thread came up a couple of weeks later, and my foggy mind thought the nbc news story I saw was about Chuck Berry, that's what I get for not checking the facts online first.
