Yellowrose
Anyone know what became of Peter Grant's photos, documents, letters, etc in regards to Led Zeppelin?
SteveAJones
Some documents and posters were sold to private collectors. Most of his antique furnishings and classic automobiles were sold at auction. It's possible that his children kept his gold album awards. I have never seen those offered anywhere. Edited to add: In 1995, The Everly Brothers presented him with a silver cane at a party following their concert at the Royal Albert Hall. I asked his son earlier this year if he knew what happened to it but apparently he did not know at the time. bcarter690
I've often wondered if there's any more of Peter's 8 mm footage from Japan 71 and Sydney 72 still around.
SteveAJones
I've noticed on the Led Zeppelin DVD that has footage of their Australia concert, that Grant can be seen off to the side (he is wearing a yellow shirt) photographing the band. I wonder where his own collection of photos such as this may be. Possibly with his children, Helen and Warren.
shinedaddy
Steve, would you happen to know which posters he had?
bluecongo
We know that Jimmy got Grants copy of the Earls Court video, so it is conceivable that Jimmy got other things as well, posters, photos, films, etc.
SteveAJones
Steve, would you happen to know which posters he had? The only posters I recall were some for 1980 Over Europe, found posthumously in a storage chest and long since auctioned off to private collectors.
