Charles J. White
Don't laugh, but this one of my all time fav songs, the opening guitar bits are PERFECT and the drumming bit towards the last 1/3 of the song are GREAT. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QghwNqlCRE
Strider
Why would anyone laugh? Harry Nilsson is a good songwriter and there's oh so much more to him than "One" or "Coconut". I have most of his 1970s albums, as well as the Midnight Cowboy soundtrack album. Plus, his partying with John Lennon, Ringo Starr, et al is legendary. the chase
Harry Nilsson really was a great artist. Anyone who laughs is wrong.. His version of Without You is incredible. Whenever I hear Jump Into The Fire now, I think of Goodfellas.
The Only Way To Fly
LCD Soundsystem does a KILLER live version of Jump Into The Fire during their farewell concert at MSG a few years ago.
Strider
I reckon Harry Nilsson is overdue for a rediscovery along the lines of what happened with Nick Drake, Leon Russell, and Kraftwerk. "Goodfellas" might have raised his recognition a little but I still sense that most people lump Nilsson in with the easy-listening crowd of the 70s...John Denver, Seals & Crofts, Dan Fogelberg, etc.
Strider
Two good places to start: The "Nilsson Schmilsson" and "Son of Schmilsson" albums.

Mook
John Bonham was in a film with Nilsson as well as Ringo, Keith Moon & Peter Frampton in 1974, Son of Dracula:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Son_of_Dracula_(1974_film) Bonham's part is very brief as a drummer in one scene.
