Went to a Catholic grammar school that had nothing but Polish, Italian & Irish parishioners. The carnival that my Catholic grammar school put on was always two weeks long, and numerous Polka bands performed. I remember my uncles requenting the beer garden when good Chicago Polka bands would perform ( Eddie Blazonczyk & The Ampolaires). And BTW, what's wrong with Polka music? What makes Polka music good? Heavy bass, trumpet, clarinet, and good drumming. A good accordian player is essential.
