tyedye
Wish I would have opened my email sooner, but looks like it replays a couple more times. Night of the Living LED: Zurich 1980 Night of the Living Led, where XM Led the Zeppelin Channel delves into its archives for a Led Zeppelin concert from the past. The next performance in the series was recorded in Zurich, Switzerland on June 4th of 1980. From the opening notes of “Train Kept A Rollin’” to the closing crescendo of “Kashmir” it is pure, unadulterated live Zeppelin. Debuts Monday 9pm Eastern January 14th with replays at 6pm Eastern Wednesday January 16th and 12 Noon Saturday January 19th. It's not a bootleg. It's an authorized broadcast, similar to the BBC recordings.
kdh
If it is a "authorized" broadcast, does that mean that Mr. James Patrick Page ok'd this release? Will this "authorized" broadcast follow the BBC recordings and be released for legal purchasing in the near future? Hence the band meeting in January? No. The band has authorized various concert recordings to be aired on the radio, but there are not plans to release them. This has been going on since the early '90s. Jahfin
I'd say it's been going for much longer than the early 90s. One of the shows from the BBC Sessions has been airing on Westwood One since at least the 70s.
