  1. Would appreciate a link very much Steve. Many thanks.
  2. Steve, forgive me for asking, but is this really May 21st? It seems to be missing Over The Hills And Far Away, Heartbreaker and Rock 'n' Roll. It has In My Time of Dying, and Trampled Underfoot as the last track. The track lists of all my other copies of May 21st do have the missing tracks and do not have IMTOD or TUF. The problem is that there's no info.txt file Steve so I can see what date this particular tracklist is from. Can you clarify please? Thanks.
  3. Wow, that was quick Steve!! Many thanks for the link.
  4. I grab everything you release Steve. Would love a link. Many thanks.
  5. Hi Steve, can I get a link please? Many thanks.

    uuweb?

Oh yeah. The last post was in 2017 so still no wiser.
  7. For the life of my I can't find a search option on here. Anyway, I used to access uuweb nearly every day. A couple of years ago I noticed it was down. It's never come back of course. I Google searched on it but get nothing back. Can someone tell me what happened to it? It was a great resource and it's a shame it's no longer up and running.. Thanks.
  8. Wonderful stuff - are you still creating them? Would love to see more and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
  9. Pretty good release for 09-23-71, 3-3-75. The Budokan, Tokyo. Play this version a lot - just hits the spot.
  10. I've been reading through this whole thread to see if it finally led anywhere, it didn't. As most have said the 50th anniversary celebration was pitiful and Jimmy just keeps on being Jimmy - manjana, manjana! Some people made reference to 50th anniversary celebrations of other bands and of how much more impressive they were. Well to be fair The Beatles 50th anniversary celebration was even less impressive than Zeppelin's - nada. I mark the Beatles beginning as the day they went into the recording studio with George Martin, June 6th 1962. Their first album, Please, Please Me (UK of course), was released on March 22nd 1963. Celebrations? Zip. They have released Sgt Pepper, The White Album and Abbey Road as 50th Anniversary releases which is great but I don't get that ignoring their 50th anniversary (i.e. 62 or 63) was nothing but a real letdown to their fans - we didn't even get a fecking book! Perhaps it was thought that the massive disparity between early UK and USA releases made things too complicated. I understand that, especially if they had at least given people a heads-up so that we wouldn't expect to have the Beatles, as a band, get a 50th anniversary celebration. Like I say, Zeppelin's 50th sucked but the Beatles didn't even have a 50th!!
  11. Listening to this again. What a fantastic version. My goto version now. Thanks for all your skill and hard work!!!
  12. Maybe Jimmy's got more goodies stuffed behind the sofa than we thought........
  13. Me personally, I feel that no matter what JPJ, Dave Grohl or Josh do next, a second TCV album would trump everything. I don't know but how hard would it be for them to release a second album. They mention it every so often but it's getting like Jimmy saying he's going to leave his house with his guitar case. A new TCV album would be seismic, for me anyway. That and a new BCC album would be so sweet and both with Zeppelin connections. Rock needs the bloodline to continue!
  14. I'd really appreciate a link too. As others have said, the Guitars 101 link is no longer working. Thanks.
  15. I recall reading Richard Cole's book. There the bit he's put in about Plant standing on the balcony of a hotel (might have been the Riot House) with is arms spread, shouting "I am a golden god!!!". Cole didn't seem that impressed IIRC. I got the feeling that Cole wasn't too fond of Plant, there's times in the book where he doesn't altogether hide is feelings about Plant. I think that Plant's refusal to do anything with Zeppelin after 2007 is because it's always been essentially Jimmy's band. People paid to see Zeppelin but, in my opinion, wanted to see Page doing his thing. Perhaps Robert didn't want to play second fiddle again. Now this is from memory only, untouched by Google. I recall reading that in 1998, P&P were due to continue their tour through Asia and (perhaps) Australasia. Before that section of the tour could commence, Plant took his ball and went home. Am I right in recalling that? I get the impression that he feels he's outgrown Jimmy. Can't really blame him for that because Jimmy is pretty much stuck in the 70's and Robert's seems to have become more avant gard, musically, over the years. I don't blame Robert at all for walking away from and further Zeppelin involvement but the dynamic between the three of them continues to be of interest - much as been seen but little articulated. Just adds to their overall mystique.
  16. It's fairly clear that Jimmy's pretty much put his feet up now, and who can blame him? His aim for as near as perfection as possible when remastering live releases - TSRTS, HTWWW, must be a grueling process for him so I understand if he's decided to call it a day. What I would like to say though is that perhaps Jimmy could delegate the remastering of some of the better tapes so that the band's best nights do not remain lost to Zeppelin fans that love the band but are unaware of the tremendous amount of unofficial releases there are out these. Japan, Earls Court, April 27th 69, Vienna 1973, February 2nd 1975 and June 21st 1977. These are just the obvious ones I've pulled off the top of my head. I would love to see official release of some or all of them, mixed by mixers trusted by Jimmy. I can dream.
  17. Hi Steve. Would really appreciate a link. Many thanks!
  18. Hey Michael, just come across this thread and seen the sheer amount of effort you must have put in to creating such a great range of shows. I normally don't listen to compilations, just whole shows, but what you've put together sounds fascinating so would love a link please. Thanks.
  19. Anyone else find they mostly listen to the Zeppelin boots? I love Zeppelin live so much that the studio albums sound so staid to me. I have box sets, remasters, the deluxe editions but listening to 04/27/1969, 09/04/1970 (obviously!), 09/29/1971 - Jeez I could go on and on, is a treat beyond what the studio albums can give. Plus knowing that what you hear is what they actually played is so much better than Jimmy's hack and slash of the official live recordings - poor old Robert gets about 30 seconds of Plantations and that's it. Just find that, like Jimmy once said, they are at their best live. Of the official concert releases there's nothing after 1973 of course. Just wish Jimmy would delegate a little bit if he finds editing concerts to be a real pain. Nothing from '75, '77, '79 or '80 is a real disappointment but at least people like Winston, weedwacker, Steve, JEMS, dadgad, Liquid Led and other great remasterers/remixers are giving us some of the finest post 1973 releases that I don't really miss official releases. Having the unofficial concert DVDs is great too. You develop bootleg eyes as well as bootleg ears so one you just open yourself to them they look and sound great. Well I've rambled on there (really, no pun intended!) so I hope some of what I've said strikes a chord. There are just some magic people giving so much wonde5rful music and for free! Total respect and thanks.
  20. Have to say that of all the versions of 9/04 I have, the one I keep returning to is 'Another Master', no label. I downloaded it about a year ago and it's still my favorite version. Replying to your post Steve because I know people love collecting different versions of 9/04 so this is definitely worth checking out.
  21. Thanks Steve. It's good to know that you're pressing on with remastering and remixing. No good waiting on Jimmy! Reading the articles on the Garden Tapes site they show just how meticulous and nit-picking Jimmy is when he remasters live releases (all four of them, wow! - Royal Albert Hall and Paris included). Probably take him about 5 years to do 1975-05-24 or 25 so they're not going to happen unless he finally decides he can delegate. 1971-09-29 and 1977-06-07 are fantastic releases by you so knowing there's probably some more to come cheers me up no end when releases have generally dried up so much. Great work man and really appreciated.
  22. Will definitely have a listen. Just 'Followed' your podcast on Spotify. Looks like you've some really interesting episodes to listen to.
  23. Mainly a question for SteveZ98 but others here may have an idea. With the new mixes and remasters done by Steve, Nite Owl and others, whereby the technology is here which can make old boots sound so much better, do you think the technology and tools are advanced enough so that something like the Bath recordings could be significantly improved and, if so, is it something that would be practical to do? We only have quite poor versions of Bath so it would be fantastic to have a decent quality mix and remaster of that date.
