  1. My power went out about 30 min ago. Lost the internet for awhile. My laptop batteries are fully charged but the wireless router and DSL goes out when power is out!
  2. We are having a wind storm. 60 mile per hour gusts. It sounds like the roof is going to blow off my house! My Direct TV satellite is going in an out (watching VH1 Classic's 100 Greatest Hits of the 80's).
  3. They also removed the AC/DC channel in mid- January. I started listening to it after I went to their concert in Cincinnati. They took it off the air a few days after that concert. I would like to have that channel back, also.
  4. These pictures comparing Robert and James Hetfield to the Cowardly Lion are hialrious!
  5. It was 50 degrees F today. Visited the sons at Ohio State. There was still alot of ice on the sidewalks, but lots of students were out jogging in shorts and short sleeves, slipping and sliding on the ice. I saw lots of kids in flip-flops. We still have lots of snow piles in the grass. You would have thought that the kids were on spring break in Florida!
  6. Devil With A Blue Dress On - Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels
  7. I think that the confusion of the legitimacy of the back injury comes from the BBC and Rolling Stone Magazine reporting that Jimmy performed on Saturday and on a Monday Jay Leno show without apparent injury or problems. So the media fuled the speculation that he really wasn't injured. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/881209.stm http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/jimmyp...ck_crowes_shows
  8. I tried to find a video of this performance, but the video was taken down by Warners (WMG).
  9. Did you know that you can buy a download of the concert that you were at from their web site? My son has the one from the Columbus concert and it keeps the memories alive. He played it for me and it was fantastic.
  10. Running on Empty - Jackson Browne
  11. 10 to 12 inches of snow! 19 degrees Farenheit. Everything is closed down. Roads are terrible, nothing moving. So I got a day off. No patients braving the weather today. Snow emergencies have been declared. Classes at Ohio State were cancelled today due to the weather! That doesn't happen too often.
  12. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - AC/DC
  13. Ain't No Sunshine When You're Gone - Bill Withers
  14. Proud Mary - Creedence Clearwater Revival
  15. My brother and I had aisle seats. Next to us was a father and a 14 year old son. And next to them was what appeared to be a soccer mom and dad, mid- thirties, very preppy. The woman was very bubbly when she first sat down, but kept leaving and coming back, probably 4 or 5 times before AC/DC came on stage. We didn't see her drinking. When the band took the stage, when everyone in the audience stood up, she sat down and passed out. She was totally out of it, missed the entire concert. The man she was with stripped off most of his clothes! He was almost down to his skivies. And we are talking Cincinnati, 15 degrees outside! Toward the end of the concert, he dressed and left. The woman came to, saw that he was gone, and staggered out of the arena to find him. I don't know how she made it down the stairs! People caught her as she fell. The man came back, saw she was gone, said "what the hell?" and kept on rockin'. She never came back. I don't know how he ever found her when the concert was over. This is just one example of the many characters that were there!
  16. Listening to and watching No Quarter Unledded "What is and What Should Never Be"
  17. Masterpiece Theater on PBS: Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte I loved the book, have never seen a movie of it.
  18. I usually go to the Ohio State hockey games but I have been to a Blue Jackets game. I am spoiled because we sat in one of the private luxury boxes with private bar and gourmet food. It was about 5 years ago or so and one of the Blue Jackets players (don't remember his name) had a hat-trick. It was really thrilling. Everyone threw hats on the ice. It took about 15 minutes before they could clean up the ice and play again. That was the same year that a girl in the stands got hit by a puck and was killed. You can probably google it and get the details. I have pictures of the most recent OSU hockey game that I attended this year and may get around to posting them sometime.
  19. It didn't maki it past 3 degrees Farenheit today. Below zero again tonight. Maybe above zero tomorrow?
  20. I went to the AC/DC concert in Cincinnati last Sunday. It was a good concert, not the best that I have been to, but very good. AC/DC is not my favorite band (Led Zeppelin is ) but I do like their music and they do put on a good show. The warm up band was The Answer and I really liked them. The singer reminded me of Robert Plant. His name is Cormac Neeson. The band is from Northern Ireland. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBIxa5w0biQ...feature=related Jimmy has mentioned that he also likes this band. Angus was somewhat subdued, in my opinion. He did all of his signature moves, but maybe not as exuberantly as he did in his younger days. Brian Johnson's vocals were great. I don't know how his voice holds out night after night. The set list was: Rock and Roll Train Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be Back in Black Big Jack Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap Thunderstruck Black Ice The Jack Hell's Bells Shoot to Thrill War Machine Anything Goes You Shook Me All Night Long TNT Whole Lot of Rosie Let There Be Rock Highway to Hell For Those About to Rock We had some wierd characters sitting by us. Also, there were people outside the arena with signs telling everyone to repent and "the end is near". I guess they thought that it was the devil's music and they were trying to save souls. Overall, a good concert.
  21. The Song Remains the Same - On VH1 Classic I have the DVD and have seen it a million times, but I have to watch it again!
  22. Currently -3 degrees Farenheit with wind chill to -20 F. We got 6 inches of snow yesterday. Very beautiful but
  23. My copy of Mick Wall's book "When Giants Walked the Earth" arrived today after one month on order from Amazon. After some speed reading there is not alot of new info in here. But I was touched by the hurt Jimmy felt at Robert's refusal to sing "Stairway" at the Atlantic Anniversary show.
