  1. Thanks very much for the link. This is the best thing I've heard in months. Much appreciated.
  2. Rock on Strider, you make it seem like it was only yesterday. Great read like always.
  3. Bootlegs of the Jeff Beck Group from 1968........... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4_NPMX7Jes&feature=related
  4. Blues Deluxe - Jeff Beck Group
  5. I've been listening to this non stop for the past several days. It's really outstanding on many levels, they were meant to play in an acoustic setting.
  6. Roll The Bones I think.
  7. Good one Missy, Carlton is a great player. Maybe we should start a jazz guitar thread lol..........
  8. Jazz guitar legend Pat Martino..........who should have been on that RS Top 100 list.
  9. Moving Pictures has probably been overplayed to the point of boredom for most people, but I finally got to hear the album in Blu-Ray Dolby 5.1 at a friends house yesterday. It was a remarkable listening experience. If anyone is on the fence about buying the deluxe package of the album, if you have the right home theater set up.........it's well worth the money to buy it all over again.
  10. Todd was god.......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtqF012BZas
  11. Dickey Betts ought to be part of the ABB somehow. I'm glad to see the fences are slowly mending themselves.
  12. I have to find a Bic lighter and hold it high after that video. Tremendous.
  13. Their open taping policy that's been in place for decades hasn't hurt them either. I don't know how sales of old Dead shows are but my guess is pretty good, they keep on releasing them. The Dick's Picks series was a success and I'm pretty sure the majority of that was from private taping sources. Times do change but it's good to see bands adapting to the times.
  14. I always thought the album started out very generic but got better as it went along. I didn't care for the singer on the first two tracks but Percy and Chris Farlowe more than made up for that. The instrumental tracks were also very very good. I think all in all the album has held up relatively well over the years.
  15. The original Pat Metheny Group from 1980...............
  16. Leonard Cohen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUfS8LyeUyM
  17. That Beck/Stewart video was just tremendous. I had to drag out my old "Truth" LP for that one.
  18. King Crimson 1980's style..................... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-tv6_8Bf1Y&feature=related
  19. Eagerly awaiting the new season of "The Walking Dead" on AMC. There's nothing quite like a really good zombie Apocalypse.................
  20. Lately I've been listening to the "Formerly the Warlocks" box set recorded originally in 1989.
  21. I think it's like a bad car wreck that you see while driving by. You really don't want to look but you can't help yourself.
