  1. Yeah! Finally- the Radioactive 12 inch version & the live Live In Peace (my absolute fave Firm song) that was on the flipside coming out on cd! Will check out Amazon.com now to see if it can be pre-ordered...
  2. I have a different shirt from the Outrider tour: mine says Jimmy Page Outrider The Tour & has a pic of him holding a Les Paul (which looks yellow) and 2 smaller pics of him on each side, one with a blue tint and the other with a red tint. No tour dates on either the front or back (nothing on the back at all actually).
  3. Woo Hoo!!!!!! I know you're gonna love it!
  4. You mean the Joining Forces DVD ? (and thanks again to aen for telling us about it ) I got mine last week - hopefully yours will arrive soon! There's a lot of great stuff on there, and I love the clip in the beginning (where it gives you the choice of playing the show or the extras)- it's behind the scenes footage of Jimmy getting ready to do the take of his solo from the "Live In Peace" video shoot... Pure Pagette heaven
  5. Hi Deborah! Live In Peace is my favorite Firm song- and this happens to be my all time favorite version of it. In '85 they released an extended version of Radioactive on a 12" single & this was one of 2 live songs on the back- outstanding! Thanks for posting!
  6. Somewhere I have one of their albums on cassette (think it was Un-Led-Ed)- it was funny! Think I'll look for it later- I had forgotten about them.
  7. Speaking for myself, I have to disagree- as much as I love Zeppelin & Bad Co. too- I was not disappointed that they didn't do any LZ or Bad Co songs (just like I wasn't disappointed that Robert didn't do any on his first solo tour). I was very excited to see this new band that Jimmy & Paul put together and was looking forward to hearing all the songs from the album. And actually they did do some "past" material- they did a few songs from "Death Wish 2" (Prelude, City Sirens, The Chase) as well as "Live In Peace" from Paul's solo album Cut Loose. I see you're from Queens, so you probably saw the April 29th show at MSG- I was there (3rd row) and it seemed like everyone around me was pretty much into it, but of course when you're that close to the action everybody's gonna be into it. That show did get a negative review from the Newsday music critic though.
  8. Yeah! - I'd love to see video of Jimmy's New York (actually Long Island, at the Nassau Coliseum) Outrider show too- especially since I was there, but with terrible seats. But I think the date is wrong though- I just went & found my ticket stub and it says October 28 not October 22. Hopefully Steve A. Jones is reading this & can clarify.
  9. Thank you aen27! I only had it on a tape I recorded from the MTV broadcast, which due to age is not in the best shape anymore.
  10. On last night's live Bill Maher HBO special, he likens Obama coming in to clean up the mess that Bush left as "the hotel maid who came in after Led Zeppelin".
  11. Yeah it is somewhere on here- I didn't think it was a real pic though, thought it was a photoshopped thing, but now I know that it was really an actual photograph.
  12. Jimmy didn't wear that shirt at the 1985 MSG show, he was wearing a reddish/pinkish shirt, sort of like this: The shirt he's wearing in that pic was the shirt he wore at the 1986 Nassau Coliseum show (see below):
  13. Thanks for the clip Deborah- I remember that from MTV. I had just recently bought my first VCR and taped it.
  14. The Nassau Coliseum show was on April 3 not March 25.
  15. I'm going to see Steve Miller with the Les Paul Trio at Iridium Jazz Club in NYC on November 9th. Should be an interesting show, I'm sure Steve will have a few stories about his godfather Les.
  16. At KISS's MSG show last night (and probably others on the tour), Paul Stanley played some of the beginning of "Stairway" and even opens his mouth to start singing it before stopping. (There was some booing in the crowd when he was playing it) Also, at the same show, during the intermission between Buckcherry and KISS's sets, they played "For Your Life" and "Rock and Roll" on the PA.
  17. I remember on the day John Bonham died, one of the NY area rock radio stations said (and which one I don't remember since there were several that I used to listen to from Long Island, NYC & Connecticut) that Led Zeppelin were just about to announce several dates at MSG. However, I have never seen anything about this in print, so who knows where that info came from & whether or not it was legit. Maybe this could be confirmed with one of the area promoters of that time.
  18. The car wash I used to go to used Zep cleaning products (I guess they make car wash soap), I smiled every time I saw it.
  19. Yeah the souvenir stand sure got a lot of money from me! That scarf sounds really nice, maybe one of the European forum members has one.
  20. Some more Firm merchandise from the 85 & 86 US tours: 1985 tour jersey 1986 tour jersey Jimmy Page Firm shirt 1985 tour Mean Business tour buttons
  21. I'll be seeing them Oct 10 at MSG. I really haven't kept up with their recent music, but I love their 70s stuff! Gene is gonna have a lot of story material for the next season of "Family Jewels".
  22. On the soap "One Life To Live", one of the show's teenagers, Markko, occasionally wears a dark blue t-shirt w/the Icarus on the front.
  23. I've only been once, about 10 years ago- it's very beautiful & everyone is more friendly & laid-back up there, you will enjoy it.
  24. I remember the Unknown Comic! I never noticed he was wearing the same shoes as Jimmy though- guess I was just looking at the bag on his head. Which reminds me- there was a card store that I used to go to back in those days & they had all these posters hanging up that you could buy... most of them were rock posters, but near the back of the store they had one of the Unknown Comic- he was lying down, naked, with just a bag on his head and a bag over his privates! Strider, do you remember an act on the Gong Show that I think was supposed to be a group of space aliens that were lip synching to the "Immigrant Song"? My mom loved it & then after that whenever she heard IS on the radio she would say "oh it's those people from the Gong Show!"
