I should be ashamed as big of a Led Zeppelin fan I am, I have very few shirts. Two of "Celebration Day", one of TSRTS included in the box set and perhaps one more. Need to get more. So many bootlegs and other stuff but not much in this area. What are your recommendations for Zeppelin shirts out of curiosity as far as what you like? Everyone feel free to say what are your faves!

Well done as always Chef Free with the bbq and great set up. Especially, love how it's isolated away from the house and gives a more natural feel to it being within the trees etc. Nice choice with the music and Brandi. I saw her at ACL music festival in 2011. One of the highlights of the event.

That's insane for a Stella! Glad I don't live in L.A. Although, MSG and Yankee Stadium throw a good challenge with their concession prices as well. I went to the Capitol Theater in Portchester NY a few months ago and beer were all in the $7-$8 range with Stella's being $8 and not too bad.

I wouldn't be surprised if Robert plays more USA dates later in the summer or in the fall. This is a pretty small tour and just one date in each city including New York. We shall see.

This is rather cool and a short one. Part of the "Dazed and Confused" jam. Even better as separated! Listening to the original version and lyrics in light of what has happened in Hollywood with Weinstein, Spacey et al, I'm not sure if it would be appropriate to write lyrics like this. But then again the lyrics are classic in this song from the get go!

One of my favorite versions of "Whole Lotta Love" by the band and probably when they were their absolute best as a band as they are just jamming, like you wouldn't believe on this. "You're So Square" (Baby, I Don't Care" by The King is just amazing when JPJ and Bonzo kick in. Just incredible. Also, I think it's Jimmy's best theramin playing if that's what you want to call it ever for "WLL." Sounds good Strider and hope those ribs were slow cooked in a smoker at 225 for many hours with an amazing and succulent bark on them. I've been down south and had some amazing bbq in Austin and Memphis. One of them in Memphis is one of the most noted bbq joints in the country and has been featured a number of times on the Food Channel and Travel Channel as well on different programs. I even saw the server I had when I dined in the Memphis eatery in one of the TV features! Can't leave you hanging as the Memphis eatery is in the downtown area just off of Beale Street near the famous Peabody Hotel with the ducks. It's Rendezvous and unbelievable bbq and best I've ever had. Surprisingly, we had seven of us and were able to walk in without a ressie! The seven of us went to Memphis for three nights in 2015 and had a great time taking it all in. It was my second time there. First being in 2005.

Very cool. I was a pretty big fan of Adam and the Ants back in the day and liked his solo album around 1983. Brings back memories and all good. For me I will be seeing Greta Van Fleet for the first time on Friday, May 11th at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. Looking forward to this show. Also, two Dead & Company shows with John Mayer on Friday, June 15th and Saturday, June 16th at CitiField in Queens, NY. Seen them before and they are very polished and John Mayer is an amazing addition to the band. CitiField is a great venue to see a show as very open with great sound and acoustics. Saw Macca there for the first ever show at this venue. Great show which was released on dvd/cd as "Good Evening New York City." Hoping to get Elton John tickets tomorrow for his GBYBR final tour as he says. MSG in October and hope I get them. In all the years I've gone to shows, never seen him for no reason as always a big fan of his music!

Thanks Sean for this. Not much of a Tull fan but when I was in high school I liked them and got a few of their LPs which I enjoyed at the time. They don't do much for me now. Always remember John Paul Jones' comments about the band as I think he found the band and possibly Ian Anderson to be very pretentious. I think he referred to them as "Jethro Dull" and insinuating a concert of theirs as "Bore 'em at The Forum." To me it sums it up and JPJ was always spot on for his insight and British sarcasm and humor.

Perhaps, once the show nears we could Pm to set this up.

Thanks for the link. A good size book at 368 pages and the price isn't too pricey for the standard edition. Just pre- ordered it for the October release. Hope to find out more about this book in the coming months. I had a gift balance of some sort on Amazon for nearly $20 that I didn't realize was there. Not sure where that came from? Something from Amazon Prime? I don't have an idea as I didn't input anything regarding a gift card or something else. Something on their end, but I'll take it!

Congrats as I know how much you want to see this band! I know, you as well as I had a bit of bad luck in not seeing them at the Bowery and hope they put on a good show as I've seen videos of their live shows and they can certainly play and quite well! One thing I forgot to mention is that you're not the only one on this board going to this show!

Hopefully, something comes out of this and verified in future, but now just a rumor. We'll see. Especially, if someone in the band confirms but not getting pumped up for this as so many rumors and letdowns in the past!

Very nice post Sean and agree. Hope you had the day off from work to get all the music you wanted to play on JPs 74th in! He is 74 and I don't see much possibility of him recording and/or playing live. Now with Zep's 50th and a lot of work to do on the official book, live release and who knows what else. He was quite active through 2000 and not much since, which is quite sad as he was only 56 back then. I think a bit late now unfortunately!

First time I saw this film was back in around 1981-82. It was a friend from high school. The funny thing he was an accomplished violinist from Russia. He loved classical music and I got him into Led Zeppelin. It wasn't difficult as he found the music so diverse and amazing musicianship among all. He liked the Beatles but felt Zeppelin was better with the production from Page and so much going on with each song. All the various guitar parts in many tracks and so much layering overall. He loved this band and glad I could get him into such a great one and he appreciated it. He wound up going to the Julliard School in NYC for further musical education after high school and one of the best in the USA. Unfortunately, we lost track after our high school days as I miss him. I know he's done well as he had a write up in the NY Times about him about 20 years ago and he mentioned about mixing classical with Zeppelin for his delve into music. We went to see "The Song Remains The Same" back in high school and enjoyed it so much. It was a midnight showing and it wasn't easy getting my mom's approval to see this so late. It was the first time I had seen live footage of Zeppelin. Although, I was very into them for about a year or more already and had some bootlegs at the time. I couldn't wait for this night and the movie didn't disappoint. Live performance is great but never been that fond of the fantasy sequences. But, know I know why they did those with the problem with the filmed footage of MSG that got destroyed or unusable.

This band is the real thing and good musicians. They will only get better in time with more experience, performing and creativity. I haven't had a band or artist that I discovered in a long time like this with a WOW! We'll see how they are in a few years and if they can keep it up!

I was hoping to see this band in NYC at the Bowery Ballroom for one of their two sold out shows, but to know avail. I found out too late about this show and the tickets were quite pricey to say the least on Stubhub and other ticket re-sellers. The original tickets sold for about $20. Most for going for $200+ and some offered for over $400. That's just insane. The Bowery is a small venue that holds 575 and I saw Robert Plant there with the Band of Joy back in 2010 for a one off intimate show. I even heard myself with a shout out to Robert during the show in which he responded in a YT video with some chuckles from the crowd frpm what I said. Never forget it and video still there. Anyway this is a great band a good review of show with several photos from show. They're young and hungry and very good musicians and performers. They may be quite something in a few years and filling the arenas. Definitely similarities to Zep but not copying them. They love a lot of the music Zep took in quite young and quite astonishing considering how young this band is and how many years ago the music the members of GVF take in as influences is from. Wasn't expected this with Tom Petty! I saw him once at MSG back in 2010 and put on a phenomenal show! What a loss and a horrible Monday and just can't fathom the Las Vegas situation! Just beyond belief!
