  1. Another master of the axe from this era with Hank Marvin and The Shadows.
  2. Love the old surf type music from amazing guitarists like this. Definitely an influence on Jimmy Page. You hear bits of this in the live versions of "White Summer."
  3. Another Nor'Easter about to commence in just hours. Should get close to a foot of snow, but a lot of it may not stick to the roads, which would be good! A nice welcome to the first day of Spring!
  4. A great show and one of the best. It's just that the quality isn't that good in the sound. Otherwise this would be a more popular show with us. Hope someday a good quality source becomes available.
  5. I can see this happening again as they seemed to have a good rapport.
  6. Next time have some broccoli with a cheese sauce as you'll enjoy it much more!
  7. That's it Paul? Not much of a dinner nor one of my favorite veggies!
  8. Agreed and not the standard interview and rare with this from Robert, Jimmy or anyone else. The platform was there. Although, I could put the interview with Howard Stern up there as well as a good one too. Even though Howard was a bit much at times. Just interrupts too often, otherwise he'd be good if he got away from this. Howard has always been a big Led Zeppelin fan and appreciates there music so much.
  9. Always love this song! Very bluesey and reminds me of some of Zep's first half of '69 shows and especially parts of "The Lemon Song" and the center section after the first solo by Jimmy. Most notably of the Fillmore on 4/27.
  10. Quite a few options in CT. I don't fish but do consume a lot of it. Not always available in the markets and you just have to shop around at times to find them. Probably not as much in demand as they always come whole and not filets. http://wtnh.com/2011/03/01/looking-for-great-places-to-catch-trout-in-connecticut/ My favorite may be the swordfish I cook that is so flavorful and it's not even grilled! Here you go! S/P both sides with one inch thick swordfish steak Cooked on stove top with medium/high heat in EVOO for three minutes until browning occurs on one side Turn over and into oven for ten minutes at 400. Use same pan as on stove and is oven safe. When done drain oil from pan and keep warm Transfer pan back to stove for sauce Low to medium heat to start and come up to temp Add a little EVOO and a TBSP or so of butter to your liking When butter stops bubbling add chopped or minced garlic and a bit of red pepper flakes. Depending how much heat you like Garlic browns add an ounce or two of white wine and raise temp to medium/high Let wine bubble for a couple of minutes and reduce Add a bit of herbes de Provence and stir to incorporate ingredients Add S/P to taste When sauce is reduced to thickness desired add a TBSP or bit more of fresh lemon juice to finish it off and stir. Usually about the last 30 seconds. Can do this when removing from stove as well but don't have to. Can also had a little lemon zest for more lemon flavor. Also ground parsley works to stir in for color, but Herbes de Provence I think is better with good flavor. Pour over fish and dive in! Comes out so tender and flavorful Don't forget the obligatory bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, which is perfect with sword fish. Especially from New Zealand as they are so crisp and balanced. Oyster Bay and Kim Crawford are good and reasonably priced choices. Just thought I'd share this as I know you enjoy cooking and fish.
  11. That is odd and makes you think when three things are connected like that.
  12. I watched it last night on the AXS TV website. Very good and in agreement with what you said as felt the same. First time I've ever heard Robert talk in detail about the death of Karac. Usually, that's one of the subjects that's off limits in interviews. Dan Rather did a great job and a good interview. Seemed Robert was enjoying the interview and no sarcastic or off color remarks with his British humor.
  13. I'm quite fond of the tune as well Strider, so you're not alone!
  14. You're making me quite hungry so close to dinner. I grill it like you do and make a sauce adding a bit of EVOO, lemon juice and herbes de Provence. So good!
  15. This one's not exactly appropriate these days, but I like this one.
  16. Another Nor'easter coming our way tonight with probably a foot of snow! Can't wait until this crap is over with and the warm temps of Spring arrive! Here is a funny video regarding snowstorms and the way some deal with it. It's meant to be comical, but it is more like reality!
  17. Well these guys are getting plenty of acknowledgement from some of the legends including Robert Plant. Last night they played at Elton John's post Oscar Party in Hollywood. Not too bad when you get to play at a gig like this. He even played with them as well. He gave them a lot of praise. Well done Reggie! http://ultimateclassicrock.com/elton-john-greta-van-fleet-oscars-party/
  18. Page has said with the 50th and over the next several years there will be live material coming. He doesn't specify whether this is audio , video or both. So we'll see. Although, a lot of this was used for the 2003 dvd and whether he seems it's worth rleasing what is leftover or another show they may still have in the archives on video.
  19. Not bad now but a massive Nor'easter is on our doorstep with lots of rain and wind overnight and all day tomorrow. Will be too warm for snow in the 40's but upper NY state will be getting a lot of snow.
  20. Very cool and look forward to seeing this massive collection!
  21. Nice video and I saw this movie years ago. Brad Renfro was a good actor and too bad like many his age had his demons due to the Hollywood life. Cool Zeppelin reference in the film and my guess he had this added to the screenplay. Not the first time he did this as another one in his prior film, "The Client" with Susan Sarandon. Brad Renfro was a huge Led Zeppelin fanatic and loved their music so much from what I've read.
  22. At the rate you're going, you'll need a separate room devoted to all of this!
  23. Nice info and as I said it is money well spent with some you cherish and love so much like Led Zeppelin.
  24. I've had Netflix for over a year and finally got around to watching "Stranger Things". The 80's is my decade and love all the references to this period. Also movies and shows like "E.T.", "Stand By Me", " "The Lost Boys," 'X Files" and "Twin Peaks" among them. Great series and only 3 eps in! Looking forward to seeing how the series evolves and this is just season 1. Still have season 2 and season 3 coming up this October!
  25. That's interesting and will have to take another listen to this show as I have and been a while since I heard it. It's a good show but not incredible. Not at their best as so much more for the European dates, when they were just so amazing within two months time! Best Led Zeppelin ever was as a band for the three of them.. Plant was good and better than during the UK dates but certainly not like he was in early 1972 or prior. This may explain why Page certainly favored the Cali dates for HTWWW over this for release on the cds. It;s also a better performance overall. This show does have a unique setlist and changed each night during the UK tour, which is pretty cool. Like Japan 1971 and 1972 to an extent!
