  1. I don't know if this has been posted yet, but here's a clip of Robert on "Pop Quiz" in 1983. I accidently found this clip when I was looking for ELO stuff! (Robert's team wins!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDWJbu5HfhM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNSLoZPk4_M&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrD-_r1wbNA&feature=related
  2. I thought Marooned was really great! It uses some of the same piano chords from Us and Them. It also shows what a great guitarist David Gilmour is.
  3. Interesting bit of info! Thanks! I love David Bowie! I love Ziggy Stardust, but I think I love "Low" and "Heroes" more because they were so innovative. I think his voice is better on the later albums also. In the Ziggy Stardust period his voice sounded a little too high pitched and squeaky at times, but in the later albums his voice has a richer quality.
  4. Hello, everyone! I recently got three Pink Floyd albums for Christmas: A Saucerful of Secrets, The Final Cut and The Division Bell. I really enjoyed A Saucerful of Secrets! The other two were just okay, nothing really outstanding. My favorite song from A Saucerful of Secrets is the title song. It really blew my mind, I was totally hypnotized after listening to it! I'd previously heard the live version from Pompeii, but the album version is a bit different. I think I like the album version better. I also enjoyed Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun and Let There Be More Light. I've only listened to each album once; maybe when I listen to them again I might like The Final Cut and The Division Bell more.
  5. Thanks for adding me as a friend. I love your YouTube channel! You have sooo many Zep boots! Thanks for sharing them with everyone!

  6. Thanks for adding me as a friend. It's great that you're a film student. I LOVE old movies and Monty Python and Star Wars, too! :)

  7. I'm almost finished with Fearless Fourteen (Stephanie Plum). It's really funny!
  8. Hi everyone! Thanks for all your recommendations and suggestions. I haven't bought anything yet. Actually, I think I'm more confused now than I was to start with! It seems everyone has a lot of different opinions about the albums I listed. So, I think I'll just start from the beginning and buy them in chronological order (starting with Saucerful and More). Hopefully after Christmas I'll have some extra cash, and I'll let you all know what I think after I've listened to them.
  9. Thanks for the recommendations, pagemccartney95! I think I'll buy A Saucerful of Secrets first. I know I already like two songs on it because they played them in Live at Pompeii (which was absolutely awesome ). I wasn't sure about Atom Heart Mother because I listened to the samples on iTunes and it sounded really weird! If it's anything like Ummagumma, I think I'll hold off on buying it. (I was a little disappointed after listening to Ummagumma.)
  10. Hello, fellow Pink Floyd fans! I love Pink Floyd, but I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't listened to all of their albums yet! Here's the ones I haven't heard yet: A Saucerful of Secrets, More, Atom Heart Mother, Obscured by Clouds, The Final Cut, A Momentary Lapse of Reason, and The Division Bell. Out of these, which do you guys recommend that I buy first? I've heard that The Final Cut wasn't that good. As far as my favorite albums go, I really like Meddle, DSOTM, Wish You Were Here, and The Wall. I think my favorite song would have to be Echoes. I love the psychedelic part in the middle!
  11. Yeah, that's how I felt when I first listened to it. I was a little disappointed that there weren't more guitar solos. The only song that really stands out for me is Most High. I like to think of it as sort of a Kashmir part 2 because it has a really great mid-eastern/Indian riff and it's really hypnotizing. All in all, I think the first half of the album is good, but the second half is just okay.
  12. Rosemary's Baby. So far, it's really similar to the movie.
  13. I saw that quite a while ago. I liked it and I thought it was interesting. Unfortunately no Jimmy interview. However, the American Masters show about Atlantic Records has interviews with both Jimmy and Robert.
  14. Hi ZeppFanForever! You may add me as a friend. Can I also add you to my friend list? (I haven't added anyone yet!)

  15. Lately, I've been watching So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars. (Or should I say, Dancing with the Has-Beens & Unknowns ) I've also been enjoying stuff on PBS, like Masterpiece Mystery: Inspector Lewis and The Vicar of Dibley. (I don't have cable, so the choices are rather slim. I usually just watch movies. )
  16. Just popped in to say that I've finally finished Lord of the Rings! I really enjoyed it. I think what I liked about it most was the poetry. I don't really like poetry in general, but I liked his verses because I actually understood them! Okay now that Halloween is around the corner, it's time for horror stories by Algernon Blackwood, H.P. Lovecraft, and Bram Stoker's Dracula's Guest (I read Dracula last year).
  17. It's funny, but when I was little I always wanted to travel to the future. Well, now that the future is here, all I want to do is go back to the past! Obviously I'd want to experience a Led Zep concert, but I think I'd be happy just to visit any day from the `60s or `70s.
  18. I use Pantene also. I've tried lots of different brands and I like it the best. In the winter I have to use a little extra conditioner because my hair gets so full of static. I don't really do anything with my hair - I just leave it straight. It's so heavy and thick that whenever I try to curl it, the curls don't hold and my hair is flat in about an hour or less. I don't die my hair either - I like it the way it is (dark brown). (I once tried a blond wig on, and I looked really scary! )
  19. I love it too! I've read it twice now. I had to read it my senior year for English class, and it's one of the few books that I had to read for school that I actually liked! I also like 1984, which is similar to Brave New World. (I've read it twice also.) I can't decide which book I like better. I'm still reading Lord of the Rings, but I'm almost finished! (I'm halfway through The Return of the King.)
  20. I tried Yaz recently because I had iron-deficiency anemia and to see if it would help with the acne, but unfortunately, the side effects were too annoying for me to keep taking it (nausea, depression, general stomach discomfort). You're right, this thread is moving too fast! I can't believe it's midnight already!! I think I'll have to sign off now and go to bed.
  21. We were talking about acne control. If you take Accutane and you become pregnant while taking it, it can cause serious birth defects. That's why you should avoid sex or use lots of birth control if you decide to have sex while taking it. But for birth control, ninelives is correct.
  22. It is pretty bad. I've battled it since I was 12 and I'm 23 now! I always thought it would just go away when I got older but that didn't happen. It takes a huge toll on my self-esteem. I know Accutane can cause birth defects, but I didn't know you had to sign something about having an abortion if you became pregnant while using it. That's scary.
  23. Your acne sounds like it was really severe. I'm glad it's better now. I feel your pain!!
  24. My dermatologist put me on antibiotics. I've tried them twice in the last two years, and after I completed them, my acne came back six months later. It's very annoying!! I guess I'll have to go back sometime soon and ask about the Accutane.
  25. I wash my face with plain Dove bar soap once a day (that's what my dermatologist recommended). So far it hasn't dried out my face (I've used it for a couple years), but unfortunately I'm still battling my acne. (Darn stubborn acne!!)
