  1. I had thought he wanted to quit because he was tired of all the relentless touring they were doing and was seriously considering taking up the offer of being the choirmaster I think it was, at Westminster Abbey. Either way, Peter Grant talked him out of quitting.
  2. I know what commercial you're talking about, it was for Ameriprise (an investment company). The music was Gimme Some Lovin' by the Spencer Davis Group. I actually loved the commercials because I thought it was a great way to get people in that age bracket to pay attention to things like that. In the sidebar, there are links to other commercials in the same campaign.
  3. I'm curious as to why so many people are against this. What does it matter if a TV show does a musical tribute to the band? If it's not good, will that change how you feel about them? No band is sacrosanct. If LZ can sell out for Cadillac, they can have their music performed on a TV show.
  4. It's not officially winter yet, but we had our first measurable snow of the year yesterday, so I thought it was time to update my wallpaper.
  5. There's a better chance of me becoming Queen of England than there is of Led Zeppelin reuniting, whether for another one-off show or a full tour. I think at this point the intellectually honest thing to do is admit that it's over and focus on everyone's solo projects as that is what they're currently busy with and focused on.
  6. Celebrate Me Home - Kenny Loggins White Christmas - Bing Crosby It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year - Andy Williams O Holy Night - Mariah Carey I'll Be Home For Christmas - Bing Crosby The Christmas Song - Nat King Cole (There's No Place Like) Home for the Holidays - Perry Como
  7. Who really cares if they do or they don't? It's not going to change what any of us think of the band. I don't watch the show, but I have heard snippets of songs they've done already and some of them are pretty good. Not better than the original, but hardly a pile of shit either. Personally, I don't think any of the actors on the show have the vocal chops (from what little I've heard) to pull of Robert's vocals, but let them try if they want. It's not going to hurt anything.
  8. No, I don't do anything that would warrant security asking me to leave the premises. If I spend as much money as I do on a show, I'm not going to be dumb enough to do something that would basically negate me spending the money in the first place.
  9. We had a nice spread this year. Turkey, meat dressing, oyster dressing, green bean casserole, corn, mashed potatoes, gravy and biscuits. We'll be eating leftovers for weeks!
  10. There's a lot of great music out there right now in the pop and rap genres that are relatively unknown because they don't get overplayed or played at all on the radio. Don't dismiss everything made today just because you don't like the crap on the radio.
  11. Of those choices, Night Flight. Although there's several others I think get ignored in favor of other, more beaten-to-death songs.
  12. Tea For One is not to me, an attempt to re-hash SIBLY. It's more like a sequel or a continuation of that song's storyline. That is different than a re-hash. A re-hash would be scrapping the first song and doing it over again, which I don't think they did.
  13. I don't have classes on Fridays, so Fridays are now my catch-all days to finish up homework or projects but then to also do all my errands/chores so I have the weekend free. To think I once said I couldn't wait to go back to school.
  14. Ten Years Gone is really the most glaring omission, at least to me. I'd take out D'yer Maker (really poor song IMO) and put in Ten Years Gone and Tea For One. Disc 2 needs some more weight.

Actually, you know what? I'm glad I don't have a cobswarkin' clue what the hell you're talking about. I'm gonna go back to studying for my exams tomorrow and just pretend like you're speaking English and I understood what you said.

..........what? You still didn't answer my question, though. Why should anyone care about what you know or don't know? We don't know you.

    Psychics

Why on earth would anyone be worried about what you know, to the extent of being worried that you know an abundance of whatever it is you know? That makes absolutely no conceivable sense.

I'm not going to call them a retard. I will say I don't think they're residing mentally on this plane. Physically they're here, but I can't attest to everything else.

No, I've never been to a psychic. Personally, I think it's a load of bunk. That said, if other people find credence in those things and want to patronize them, go for it.
