I went into a local Wegmans store today and they were giving out free samples of that one and Shock Ale. Ok, but I prefer the Boddingtons English ale I just tried. I thought it was a bit rough around the edges so to speak. I would certainly take Blue Moon over it any day, but I have never been a big fan of Anhauser.
  3. sports money has gotten out of hand. Haynesworth's latest shananagans take the cake!!! Is this guy the greediest SOB to ever play sports? Maybe. But he needs to be taught a lesson. There has to be something done to stop this greed and fast. The fans and the sport will suffer. In case you dont know, he took over 60 million dollars from the Washington Redskins and is the highest payed player in the history of the position and he now wont report to work. Piece of shit is what he is. Cmon fat Albert!!! Come on over to this site and read this you greedy overpaid sack of lard!!! Washington is going to fight him for the money, and all sports fans had better hope he loses.

Hey, that looks very tempting. And by the way, nice personal photo!
  5. Ok Juliet. (an old friend)
  6. Another NBA finals game where many star players seem to have forgotten how to shoot a ball.
  7. Lets be honest. For every good movie that comes out there are 50 that are pure junk!! Garbage!! No good acting anymore. Just technical special effects. And they pump out the garbage so fast you can't keep up. Hollywood has slipped in my opinion. And I don't like how they put unknown's up as the lead actor and established stars of yesteryear as the support or "draw/decoy" to get people to watch the movie. If you are going to make it, earn it. Work your way up from the bottom. Take Nicholas Cage for an example. Had alot of small roles before he got his shot at leading roles. Why all of a sudden do they try and glorify unknown actors and actress's.
  8. Well I miss the Canadien beer. If only those nazi border patrols would let me in the country again. Love the Molson and hate Labatts. Piss water.
  9. I beat the silly fucking local keystone cops again!!!! Rick 5 Cops Nil!!!! 2 cell phones, 1 stop sign, 1 speeding and one DWI> Now dont think Im a reckless maniac. I know the law. I was lucky to beat the drinkin wrap back a bit, but the others, bullshit tickets. Pleaded not guilty every time. 3 times the cops didnt show. So just remember, you must go down swinging. Roll them dice. You have a shot!!!!! No radar, no shot. No deposition mailed by the court after plea and request, it has to be thrown out and if you do so without a lawyer, you will beat them. Many cops assume that the stupid public will simply fold and cave and just send in the money. There was a local arcticle on this. Fight!!! Fight for your rights to be free! Do not let them control your life! I am not advocating breaking the law, but some of the violations are BS. And you all know what I mean if you live in the US.
  10. Too bad Canada is not in the World Cup. They could have made a nice run in the beer contest.
  11. I caught them in Rochester, NY. Dont recall the date and cant find it here? Was anyone at that show?

The CBS sportsline World Cup site has an interesting battle of the beers from the 32 countries involved. Surprising to me that the american beer picked was Yuengling. The English beer was Bottingtons pub ale I believe. Oops, my mistake, ESPN http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=igoe/100610_world_cup_beer_bracket
  13. Not good. But that is what I get for spending $12. No favorites came in at all. Strange day. Not my day. Ill live another one. Going to Saratoga!!! I had 3 of 6. I should mention, when these things get up there, the heavy hitters come out. Its probably better to try and hit one when its an average day, you could get lucky and take the whole pool or close to it if you can get home with a couple of longshots.
  14. The pick six carryover at Belmont Park in New York is close to 3 million dollars today. For those that don't understand, if nobody hits the pick six, picking the winners of races 4-9 (at Belmont, different from track to track) then it carries over like the lottery. The thing is, your odds of winning are astronomicallly better than of hitting the lottery. Using the permutation formula in statistics can give you the actual odds based on the number of horses but realistically if you know how to handicap, your odds are far better. I won it last year on two combo's. I bet $4 and got back $1100. And that was with a $43,000 carryover and 5 out of 6 were favorites, which is why it didnt pay more. Today it is very winable, and if several people put their money together and pooled it, it could be hit. I did the handicapping and to walk away feeling good about my chances I would have had to spend $48 minimum. So I just took a shot and bet $12. I won the first one already as I type. One down and five to go. LOL. But it is not an impossible task folks. The biggest enemy can be the weather on a day like this. They are calling for rain and have taken the last race off the Turf in anticipation. So I used a horse with a 495 Tomlinson wet track figure, a number that is come up with using stats from offspring of that particular horse's sire and percentage of wins by the offspring over wet tracks. A very usefull tool by handicappers. I have bet some win bets and doubles to cover myself. I see the TVG handicappers agree with me on the next leg and like the horse that is dropping in class. I dont play the pick six very often, but on a day like this where the carry over is huge, because of Belmont Stakes day, its worth taking a shot. This years Travers at Saratoga will be a very good race. The Derby winner and Preakness and Belmont winners will all go head to head and other good horses as well. I will make the drive up to Saratoga on a weekday and its beautiful there. A friend of mine who used to go to the Derby every year has told me some real funny stories. One guy was so drunk the firemen came and hatcheted the stall down that he was in as he was too drunk to open the door of the mens room. Another guy bought ten mint julips. (one will get you drunk if you are not used to it) and he fell and broke all the glass's. Ten bucks a drink, because you get the suevenier glass.
  15. And if you like it, Ill give you my beef stew recipe that I have been praised for. But its more of a winter dish. Coconut shrimp I have been making lately. Using unrefined virgin coconut oil. Expensive but good. Now that I think of it, some of my recipes are here, deep in the pages of this thread.
  16. I am the cook here. No need to look up. Wash the chicken and cover with fat free buttermilk. Overnight in frig. Then after addiing salt and pepper to flour, dredge (cover) the chicken well with the flour. The buttermilk will make it hold well. Then deep fry in either crisco or oil of choice at 350 minimum and make sure about 7-9 minutes on each side. Just keep your eye on it, will turn good and golden and will melt in your mouth.
  17. Tried a southern fried chicken recipe off Martha Stewart. You soak the chicken pieces, I used split breasts cut in half, in fat free buttermilk overnight. Then you coat it with flour real well that has salt and pepper in it and deep fry about 7-9 minutes on each side. Turned out great!!
  18. I looked at that mule til I was blue in the face. I woulnt have bet him with monopoly money. Damn 3 year olds are as unpredictable as women. Bring on Saratoga!! Im going to drive up there for sure. Great place!! Great racing!!
  19. Lets try and box 4,3,6,11 and if you only want to play one horse, take a shot with the 4, Make Music for Me. Hey, it kind of fits this site doesn't it? Joel Rosario comes 3000 miles across the country to get the mount. Good jockey and this horse could be a nice price in a wide open race. Like Provisio in teh seventh race and Amen Hallelujah in teh ninth. Cheers!!!
  20. Good point. I stand corrected on that. I forgot about that horse. I kind of lost interest in that particular race after the tragedy. The Breeders Cup is actually the best day of raciing.
  21. I have followed horse racing since the 70s and I can never remember a Belmont stakes that had no horse that won either the Kentucky Derby or the Preakness. This should be a grade 2 race. The undercard may be better than the Belmont itself. From a wagering standpoint, it may be good? Might catch a big price especially for second or third.
  22. 33 years ago today I was at the Landover MD concert!
  23. Doctors and the entire system in the USA. Overcharging for services and doing nothing for the patient.
  24. There is a Gloria Jeans up in my neck of the woods and they have good stuff. Try and chocolate covered coffee beans. Caffeine city
