  1. Happy New Year to the Forum! May 2024 bring a smile to your face. 🥂
  2. Fact. All things considered I find Aikman to be fairly even-sided.
  3. Cleveland - W Dallas - W Baltimore Buffalo Chicago Tennessee Indianapolis Carolina Rams Philadelphia Tampa Bay San Francisco Seattle Denver Kansas City Green Bay
  4. Goff once again shows why he can't be trusted. If Detroit's run game is clicking and their defense shows up, they have a chance to maybe win a game or two in the playoffs. But if they have to rely on Goff to make throws, forget it. He might get lucky on one of every four throws. But the other three will be intercepted or thrown too short and low for the receiver to do anything. As we saw on that last 2-point conversion.
  5. Dallas. I think a little home cookin' gets Dallas right.
  6. Hmmm. I have been on this site for at least 20 years so there must be some posts I have written about their shows. Certainly the 1977 Whisky shows and I believe the 1981 tour and the 1983 US Festival and the 1984 Monsters of Rock in Nürnberg. Of course, Van Halen live and Led Zeppelin live (especially by the time I saw them) were two different animals. Van Halen was never going to give you a three-hour show. They were unbridled adrenaline rock at its purest. Only AC/DC could rival them for pure non-stop energy. No fucking ballads...at least not until Sammy Hagar entered the fray. And Van Halen was smart by putting the drum solo (never longer than five minutes) after the second song when the crowd's energy was still at a peak. If only they had ditched Michael's useless bass solos. I can always tell the internet idiots when discussing Van Halen...they're the ones who parrot Eddie Trunk and say Dave couldn't sing in concert. They're usually the same idiots who listen to one bad 1977 tour soundboard and proclaim Jimmy Page was always smacked out and sloppy live.
  7. WOW! First the 1978 Van Halen drop on Christmas and now THIS!!! Spectacular news.
  8. Sounds nice. I grilled a nice ribeye steak, baked some sweet potatoes, mashed some Yukon Gold potatoes, sautéed some spinach, warmed some sourdough bread, and opened a bottle of 2021 Cline Zinfandel..and watched the 49ers-Ravens game. For dessert, peach praline pie and vanilla ice cream and Glögg and watched "Christmas in Connecticut".
  9. It's a sea of Alabama Crimson and Michigan Maize & Blue in town for the Rose Bowl this week.
