  1. Rest in peace, dear lady! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for bringing into this world and raising one of the greatest front men in the history of rock! Your son was so talented and brought joy to millions of fans like myself, from across the world! http://www.brianmay.com/brian/brianssb/brianssbnov16a.html#07
  2. Hi TypeO, I saw your post yesterday and I wanted to reply, but words failed me as I was so shocked and saddened by the tragedy that you and your family are going through. I hope your brother and his family get the comfort and solace they need at this difficult time! Family (both immediate and extended) are so important during times like these, to have a strong support system! Like the old saying goes : My deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family, TypeO! Sending positive vibes and thoughts your way.
  3. Considering what day of the week it is, I think this song is pretty appropriate!
  4. I have no idea as to who has performed this cover version of Masters of War, but it's fantastic, nevertheless!
  5. Starting to build my Rush live collection, at last!!!!
  6. My copy of the deluxe edition of Joanne! Sorry guys! I just couldn't help but take a photo of my copy of the album! It's just that I love it so much and I regard it as my favourite album for this year. There were so many great albums this year by so many bands and artists, but this album is definitely extra special!
  7. You're welcome, Juliet! Hope you're enjoying the album!
  8. Awww....don't say that! I know how much you love going to the beach in your spare time! Hopefully, 2017 will be a much better year.
  9. I knew him from the UK TV series called Hustle! Really loved that show and the character Albert Stroller! So sad!
  10. Thanks! I guess such are the 'perks' of being a grown up, CP!
  11. The lyrics reflect my current state of mind to a 't'. What the fuck has this world become?! Damn! I sound like a cynical old woman!:
  12. Another captivating drama series by the BBC! Loving it!
  13. While I believe that all those comparisons to Madonna were absolutely justified when Born this Way was released (due to similarities between the title track and Express Yourself), I really do NOT understand the bloody point of all these Madonna references and comparisons for Gaga's latest offering Joanne. For one thing, Lady Gaga sounds NOTHING like Madonna on this record. Second, let's face it. Madonna is an old geezer and she (no matter what any one might say) is past her prime. I and quite a few of my peers cannot relate to her at all, on any level. Oh and I feel the need to defend Lady Gaga as she belongs to MY GENERATION and represents my generation's pop icon! Over the years, she is one of the few mainstream solo artists (apart from Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, of course) that I have grown to admire and respect, thanks to her versatility and intriguing messages and stories conveyed in her songs. So, I just wish that some people would let these silly comparisons slide! End of rant. Back to the music.
  14. Absolutely love Kelly! She is the original American Idol. She and Carrie Underwood are the only contestants whose voices I actually care for.
  15. Getting back to the music before this thread goes down the tubes, I forgot to mention that there is a song on the album that really has this wonderful 'Freddie Mercury vibe' to it! It's called Just Another Day. I unfortunately, cannot find it any where online. But it is one of the most beautiful songs on the album, IMHO. It is piano based and really showcases her voice as it is meant to be! I'm just loving this stripped down version of Lady Gaga. Being a fan of hers, I have always been wishing for an album like this! To see my point about the 'Freddie Mercury vibe', first listen to Just Another Day and then follow that up with Queen songs like Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy. It is bound to a beautiful musical journey!
  16. Thank goodness it's the weekend! Lady Gaga's fifth studio album titled Joanne has just been released and I am absolutely loving everything I've heard so far! After a preview on Amazon, YT and yes, even Itunes, I was sold! Placed an order for my copy today! Looking forward to receiving it in a few days! As far as this album is concerned, there is something very open, raw and personal being shared here and I always appreciate that sort of thing from Gaga! This album has a whole 'Country Meets Electronic' sort of vibe to it. I'll admit that Electronic Music is not my go-to genre (I'm more of a Blues, Progressive Rock, Garage Rock and Rockabilly kinda girl), but what that being said, if it involves Lady Gaga, then I am definitely interested! Here are just a few of my favourite songs from the album:
