  1. Breaking Bad ended over 4 months ago, however, the Awards and Accolades still continue to pour in: this time from the Screen Actors Guild Association (SAG Awards). Winner: Bryan Cranston for best Male Actor in a Drama Series. Winner: Breaking Bad for best Ensemble in a Drama Series. http://youtu.be/uhLBIcPsGJE http://youtu.be/_79-lzXL12g Like I have said many times before, I believe that these Awards re-affirms My belief that Breaking Bad will go down in American History as One of the Greatest American Television Shows of All-Time. Remember, these Awards are voted on by people that are paid to watch, review and judge such Shows. They base their votes on actual Merit and Significance, of which Breaking Bad has all that plus More. I am just a Great Fan of this Show, however, it does please Me that Breaking Bad is Awarded and Afforded the Acclaim that It Justly Deserves. 30 - 50+ Million Fans of this Award-Winning show Cannot be wrong. LONG LIVE BREAKING BAD AND MR. WALTER WHITE!!!
  2. You are welcome. I also though it was a very good and interesting documentary. I think I might have to delve a little deeper and listen to more Badfinger.
  3. I think that the 10.3 million actually means how many American Television sets were tuned in to the "Felina/Finale" of Breaking Bad. Not the actual viewership. (I could be wrong). Just watch this short clip of what seems to be a college Breaking Bad ending party. I count at least 16 or 17 people in the room. Now if this happened at thousands of other places around the United States (and it probably did), I would say and think that the total viewership for the end of Breaking Bad would probably be closer to 30 - 50+ million Americans who Tuned in to witness the end of a Great and Remarkable and Awards-winning Show. Edited to add: This clip is longer but tends to Prove My Point just the same: in a bar in NYC... I defy anyone to tell Me that these two clips do not Prove the Admiration and Loyalty of the True and Real Fans of this Amazing Show. Their Hoots and Hollers and Body Language alone shows that these American viewers are and were Completely Dedicated to Breaking Bad. Just as I will be Forever. Even if I am Right or Wrong, what does it Matter? "Breaking Bad" Will Go Down in American History as One of the Greatest Shows Ever Made in and by Americans.
  4. As a Big fan of this show, I wish Everyone who watched even some of Breaking Bad would share in My Enthusiasm for this show. However, I am a Realist and realize that there are people who may like (or dislike) BrBa. Of course not everything is for everyone. (I also Love the Sopranos and Game of Thrones, but, of course, their are others that do not like or care for the Sopranos and/or Game of Thrones). Just because I Gush over a TV series or Led Zeppelin, I know that not Everyone will agree with Me. With that being said (by Me), I cannot deny what other paid professionals whose Job it is to review such programs write and/or say. And from what I have read concerning Breaking Bad, it seems that the Majority of Critics say (and write) that Breaking Bad is one of the Best Television Shows of All-Time. And I read ALOT. These critics are just critics, What does it say for a show like Breaking Bad when the "Academies" (Emmy's and Golden Globes) hand out Award after Award for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Drama Series, ETC... for 4 years in a row? That alone should Speak for Itself. And it Does. Anyone who reads this and does not like BrBa, that is Cool with me. But I think that puts you in the minority (and that is Fine with Me). The Character of Walter White (Bryan Cranston) WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS ONE OF THE GREATEST TV PERSONAS EVER... PEACE... AND LONG LIVE WALTER WHITE!!! Edited to Add: http://youtu.be/twSfxmpXVZY
  5. What a Great Band that seemed to fade away into Oblivion. http://youtu.be/nXRIpGl5ukY
  6. ...And the Accolades and Awards keep coming... Golden Globe Winner for Best Actor in a Drama Series: Bryan Cranston - Breaking Bad Golden Globe Winner for Best Television Drama Series: Breaking Bad To all the Naysayers and Skeptics of Breaking Bad, I believe this is just more proof and ammunition to say that BrBa will go down in American Television History as one of the (if not the) Greatest Television Show of All-Time. Congratulations to Bryan Cranston, Vince Gilligan and all the Amazing Cast and Crew that were responsible for this Awards winning show. http://youtu.be/QLO9cfWbEiY http://youtu.be/Xl2DEUv3U_4
  7. I just came across this on YouTube: Beware to those with sensitive eyes, this contains a small bit of nudity, but it is all Related to Breaking Badand All the Awesomeness that That entails: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL_6H2jBmkI&feature=share&list=PLQLf-3GdYMD6cEnP1_gChrgy0jjF-wH93&index=29
  8. Happy Birthday, Mr. John Paul Baldwin!!! One of the Greatest Songs of All-Time (in My opinion) and You co-wrote it and played Amazingly on it from Beginning to End: http://youtu.be/D-Cy4YKrxj4
  9. This is a real and direct quote from Monday, December 30, 2013 edition by the USA TODAY newspapers LIFE section (which I buy and read Monday - Friday): As Verbatim: ACTORS OF THE YEAR: DRAMA, MALE Bryan Cranston for "Breaking Bad": "Really, what's left to say? For decades to come, every great performance, every great actor will be compared to Bryan Cranston". This quote is from the USA TODAY Newspaper and not from me. I LOVE LED ZEPPELIN JUST AS MUCH AS I LOVE "BREAKING BAD". ACTUALLY I LOVE LED ZEPPELIN MORE THEN I LOVE "BREAKING BAD". BOTH WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS THE GREATEST AND BEST OF ALL-TIME.
  10. AMC is now showing the complete (I believe) Breaking Bad series in order from the very beginning. As of this very moment, the Breaking Bad marathon is on Season one, Episode five, titled "Gray Matter". I urge anyone who reads this who has not seen any of Breaking Bad, to take some time and watch a few episodes. I do not think You will be disappointed.
  11. This is probably my favorite Eric Clapton song: What impresses me the most about this song is the lyrics and the drumming. To me the drumming surpasses the guitar playing. Great song.
  12. From what I have read on this topic, I think that the overall consensus is that Eric Clapton is not God (on the guitar) as some are so ardent to believe. This moniker that was bestowed upon Eric in the mid to late 1960's is just that, a moniker. It was written on some wall in England at the height of Cream but before the advent of the "Mighty Led Zeppelin". I believe that Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were the very first persons in the History of Rock and Roll to be called True "Rock Stars". So, back to the topic at hand, Eric Clapton was never any God of anything. He just happened to be in a good group before the formation of Led Zeppelin (and LZ took over the burnt embers of the faded and jaded Cream) to become the Greatest Rock and Roll Band of All-Time. There are many of Led Zeppelin's contemporaries who are still Jealous of this Very fact today: Ginger Baker Jack Bruce Pete Townshend Keith Richards Jeff Beck (though not as vocal) and of course "God" himself. Etc... Am I Wrong...?
  13. Not to ruffle anyone's sensitive feathers on this topic, but if someone says that Eric Clapton is God, what does this say about the Greater and ALL - MIGHTY James Patrick Page? If Jimmy Page is better than God, who can be better than Mr. Page? I will go on the Record and say that Mr. Page is much more better a guitar player than Mr. Clapton. This is a "Classic" example to carry my Point: Eric Clapton is an excellent guitar player but not even in the same district as Jimmy Page. (Obviously this is just MY Opinion).
  14. It should come as no surprise (for those in the know) that "Breaking Bad" was named the Best American Television Show of 2013. The 2013 Emmy Awards also declared "Breaking Bad" best Television Drama a few months ago. "Game of Thrones" came in second place.
  15. I Really, Really miss Breaking Bad...I cannot think of any new or current American television show that has the "Balls" and the great and awesome Storyline that Breaking Bad had. Being a True and Loyal American, I care more about Breaking Bad and the death of Walter White then I care about the death of some South African who (as far as I know) never did anything for the United States of America. The United States of America is MY Country. I know and care about It's History more then I do about some country that has no relevance to American History or Prosperity. At least Breaking Bad contributes to the American Way of Life, even if you are not a fan of the show or a downright hater of it. I could care less either way. I know what and who I am and no + or - remarks are gonna sway me either way. Long Live the United States of America and Breaking Bad!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. This happening was a result of a completely and perfectly directed (and orchestrated) "heist" from one of the Mafia "families" in NYC in 1973. I would not be any what surprised if Peter Grant and Steven Weiss had something to do with any of this. If anyone should think or say otherwise, please say so. I am Open to all thoughts, queries and opinions...
  17. The WHO were a great band and had many, many Great songs throughout Their History, however, to compare them to the "Mighty Zeppelin" is not fair to the WHO. As many have already pointed out, Led Zeppelin had all the makings and caliber of a Better and Stronger band than the Who could ever have been. Better Songs, better Song-Writing, better Production, better Management, better Musicianship, better Leadership, better Artistic Achievement, better Everything... I mean, Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin never destroyed Their own gear just for Showmanship (and maybe shock value). Pete Townshend and the Who did this a lot. Destroying musical equipment on a night to night regular basis costs a lot of $. Plus, I have seen many videos of Pete Townsend doing His trademark "windmill" and more than half the time he is not even touching his guitar. He is just swinging his arm fast to make it look like he is doing it. (At least Jimmy Page Really plays His Guitar with a violin bow). Peter Townsend is just a Jealous and very "Dazed and Confused" Englishman. (Since Led Zeppelin is widely considered a Greater Band then the Who and Pete Townsend is very familiar with this). Edited to add: The same goes for and stands with Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce and Keith Richards. They seem to always have negative things to say about Led Zeppelin. Just like Cocaine, Jealousy is a Powerful thing. It distorts the Mind.
  18. I would ask Jimmy Page if He is really and fully "retired" as a Guitar Player and if He is just Devoted to keeping and maintaining the Legacy of Led Zeppelin alive thru ReMasters of already known Led Zeppelin releases?
  19. "Yes there are Two Paths You can go by, But in the Long Run, There's Still Time to Change the Road Your On..." Robert Plant and Jimmy Page. 1970. "Let the Music be Your Master, Will You Heed the Master's Call? - Robert Plant circa 1972 - 1973... (Houses of the Holy). If these are not considered Motivational or Inspirational quotes, I do not know what would or could qualify.
  20. I just saw on Fox News that actor Paul Walker was killed in a car crash. He was the undercover agent in the "Fast and Furious" movies. He was 40 years old. I liked him as an actor. Sad.
  21. For all of Us on this Led Zeppelin forum who have chosen to reply to this topic about Breaking Bad and who really Love this show, please say or make a brief positive comment so that others who read this, but have never seen the show, may take some other word (other than mine) and maybe take the time to invest Their time to give this Great American Show the Recognition it truly deserves. Not from TV critics but from the TV fans.
  22. The Complete Breaking Bad Series on Blu-Ray comes out Today. It is in the form of a BrBa Barrel and has over 55 hours of "Extra" and "Behind the Scenes" footage (the entire Series was only 62 Episodes). It will cost about $200 but it will be well worth the cost. Being the BrBa fan that I am, I am going to willing and happily buy this in the next couple of weeks. It will be My Christmas present to Myself. I would gladly share this with anyone who may be interested in, and who wants to see what will and has been claimed (by fans and critics) as "One of the Greatest American Television Shows of All-Time". You have to see for Yourself. I do not think that You will be disappointed.
  23. I have the bootleg album of the April 17, 1988 Robert Plant show at the Hammersmith Odeon, titled The Zen Master and His Page. According to the back cover, side 3 has "Ship of Fools" (not with Jimmy), "Trampled Underfoot" and "Misty Mountain Hop" (both with Jimmy). Side 4 just states "Gambler's Blues" and "Rock and Roll". No "Since I've Been Loving You". I have not listened to this bootleg in over 15+ years (no record player) but I seem to recall that during "Gambler's Blues" Robert and Jimmy incorporate "I Can't Quit You Baby" and "Since I've Been Loving You". I think that track is about 15 minutes long. On a side note: Side 1: Helen of Troy/Other Arms/Little by Little/In the Evening/In the Mood/Black Country Woman. Side 2: Big Log/Heaven Knows/Dimples/Billy's Revenge/Tall Cool One. ...Man, I need to get a Record Player/Turntable. I have more Led Zeppelin bootleg albums that I need to play and hear.
  24. I am listening to this live Led Zeppelin bootleg that was performed exactly 42 years ago on this date. Newcastle, England. 11/11/71:
