  1. Yeah I was hoping someone or the poster who shared this could zoom in or isolate the photos some could see who the mystery drummer is.
  2. Would love to see a closer image of those last pics. Anyway you can send a clearer , closer pic of the contact sheet?
  3. The Montreux pic is only the one of Bonzo on page 194. The following pics show recording mics but that's LA 72. Several of the photos are confusingly labeled like that on different pages, it's not always logical.
  4. Thanks for the reply! Hope you've been well.👊🏼
  5. Mine just arrived, very pleased with the overall quality but the binding is a little rippled on the front. Amazon didn't use any bubble wrap so it probably jostled around a lot in transit. Unfortunately , the one previously unseen thing I had most hoped to see, which is clear photos of Bonzo's drums form 68, is nothing revelatory. Loads of great pics though , very nicely printed on heavy stock paper. Definitely worth the $, IMO.
  6. Didn't know about this source. Bootledz shows no releases based on it. Sean?? Weedwacker? Winston? Sue Dounim? Dadgad? They would probably know.
  7. Wow, I never heard this tune before...the intro is basically the same arpeggio walk down. Much more literal than the Stairway/ Taurus comparison. Maybe the Spirit legal team will go after Dolly too!
  8. The first few months of Zep, Bonzo was using a Slingerland kit, which may have been Grant's property though I've never seen photos of that kit with the Yardbirds. I also read somewhere that the Rickenbacker amps that Page used early on were leftover Yardbirds gear. (?)
  9. Thanks, I'm assuming then that they're the ones that I've already seen here. The Marquee photos are not very clear, I was hoping for a clear shot of his drums. For Bonhamaniacs it's a thing! I'll get my copy in a week or so ....I'll know for sure then.
  10. I asked about this, someplace else on the forum, specifically Bonzo's drums, no reply yet.
  11. Thanks for your impressions. If Bonzo's drums are the victim I'm definitely passing on this. Do they sound more natural though compared to the boosted , over compressed 2007 release?
  12. 😋 Listen to the isolated track, the taps sound too hard to be fingers. It sounds like sticks on something rubbery or padded to me, but it could be because of the mic'ing and reverb. Eddie Kramer ....yoohoo!
  13. Thanks , I appreciate that . I agree with you about this track too....there is so much more going on , between Bonzo and Jones than meets the casual ear. It really is an epic little performance.
  14. Just discovered this goofy thread...LOL. Who knows what Bonzo was doing, there are several stories...plastic garbage bin, a guitar case, cardboard box, his knee , his shoe sole, drum seat, tapping on a mic...etc....none of which are certain . If you listen closely, especially to the isolated tracks, the 16ths vary in accents and slightly in tempo, they are not mechanically even or dynamically consistent. To me it sounds like sticks on a leather or padded surface, not bare hands. Not on his legs or a hard case...and CERTAINLY NOT A CLICK. The uneveness, phrasing, and sound are obviously human. Also, running a click at 16ths instead of quarter notes makes no sense.
  15. Yes, and this is what I wanted to know about....is the Ocean in the middle? I assume it is not, and that's what I think is really lame because the rest of it is a disappointment, aside from improved EQ.
  16. So whatever the case, the Ocean is still in the wrong spot sequence wise. It was the least they could've done since they didn't do anything else with the lame movie edited versions of SIBLY and No Quarter. 🙄
  17. I'm confused, I thought there was a hi-res audio that you could listen to on the Blu-ray, Audio Only choice. So that's not the case?
  18. Hi there, are the songs in the correct setlist order on the Blu-ray? Or did they leave the Ocean stuck in the middle , instead of in it's proper place as the encore?
