  1. Yea, I also can't get over the amount of love for Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus over there. Seriously, !!! http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/has-taylor-swift-reached-legendary-status-yet.443941/ http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/miley-cyrus-and-her-dead-petz-free-album-drop.460372/
  2. Eh, makes no diff to me, I don't have surround sound setup. As you can tell from my post in the Beatles thread, I'm not exactly on the cutting edge of technology.
  3. Yea I figured most people here wouldn't have much interest since we all probably have all the songs. If anything it gets rid of what most think is the worst mastering job in the catalog.
  4. Try 9/19/1970 evening show while you're at it. Best medley and encores of all.
  5. Yea people are going nuts over on the Steve Hoffman Music Forums lol. I'll be getting the 1CD/1DVD set, I still haven't upgraded to Blu-Ray.
  6. Gives me something to put on my Birthday/Christmas lists, since I sold my Anthology DVD's a year or two ago.

  10. Just heard the Dumfries tape yesterday, good stuff. Bits of 'Fairies Wear Boots' in that version!
  11. Good call, you can really hear the delay effect on good audience tapes.
  12. Rush's Geddy Lee Explains His Right-Hand Technique: Les Claypool Inspired Me, Huge Respect for Him Rush bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee discussed his approach to right-hand playing technique these days, revealing that Primus bassistLes Claypool made a big impact on him with that funky groove. It is no secret that Les is a big fan of Geddy and the gang, as he recently even named Lee his all-time favorite bassist, but it would seem that the influence is mutual after all.Geddy tells Fender: "In the early 2000s, we were touring a lot with Primus, and I have huge respect for Les Claypool as a bass player, and as a fisherman, and as a wine maker. He's a super cool guy."I really got off on watching how he approached the instrument. He used to say to me, 'You're a big influence on me,' but I didn't really hear that in his playing, because he's got his own style, and it's very rhythmic."I like that, and I always found it foreign to the way I play. I found my playing very white Canadian man. [Laughs]He has a sense of rhythm that I found very appealing."He added: "And at the same time, there were all these bass players that were doing this slap and pop, which didn't really feel like my kind of thing. In an effort to bring more rhythm to my playing, I just started messing with my approach to writing a bass part."Discussing how at the time he made an agreement with drummer Neil Peart to add more of a funky feeling to Rush music, Lee noted:"I don't play with a pick, and I never have, but I play with my nails quite a bit, so I can get a lot of twang when I need to - I use the edge of my nail."The advantage of a pick is that you can go upstrokes and downstrokes back and forth. So I just started varying that style and adding some funk to it. That's how it developed, and then I got kinda carried away with it."You can check out Mr. Geddy doing his thing below. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/rushs_geddy_lee_explains_his_right-hand_technique_les_claypool_inspired_me_huge_respect_for_him.html#5124926
  13. Hey bootleg people, if you're reading this, give us some early soundboards once in a while!
  14. Ugh. Don't we have enough of those? While we're on the topic, why is it that we don't see more early soundboard releases? Just curious.
  15. ^Oops, that reminds me I also have Celebration Day 2 CD/2 DVD set. I knew I would forget something.
