  1. Moon River -- Andy Williams
  2. Geekfreak, which operas do you prefer?
  3. I saw Zoso live last summer near my home, and I largely agree with Ddlladner's assessment. What I'm still waiting to see, though, is a tribute band who can faithfully recreate one of Zep's live performances complete with improv's, etc. When I saw Zoso, they largely played the album versions of the songs note for note
  4. I'm packing for a trip down to Colonial Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. I also plan to re-visit Jamestown, Yorktown, (maybe) Busch Gardens, and one of the country's largest waterparks.
  5. Geek freak, do you listen to much opera? Which Wagnerian operas do you prefer?
  6. Love pop tarts Leftover pepperoni pizza
  7. I have some pretty strong suspicions -- regarding early alien civilizations, the greys, etc, etc -- but I'm not prepared to say that I believe in them yet.
  8. Led Zeppelin was a MUCH better band than the Who. Zep has also outsold the Who by a margin of at least 2.5 or 3 to 1.
  9. I watched a T.V. show several nights ago where the argument was put forth that an alien civilization had once (and perhaps still) lived on the moon. The aliens had left remnants of their civilization on the lunar surface in the form of huge bridges, exhaust vents, (now shattered) glass domes and other structures which NASA is aware of and trying to keep secret. At least one former NASA astronaut buys into this theory. I don't know what I think, but I found the show entertaining.
  10. Indeed it is lovely -- thanks
  11. Lipslikecherries, what is this work of art called and who did it?
  12. RIP Skye McCole Bartusiak; the actress who played the adorable young daughter in the film, "The Patriot."
  13. Lol. Actually, there were a lot of good things about the job. I made some good friends. But many of the patrons were "rough sorts" who would get rowdy (and often drunk) and verbally abuse, threaten, and occasionally physically assault our staff members. (including our female staff members.) Also, some of our bosses were "questionable characters." Finally, I have vivid memories of continually having to clean up little kids vomit from the various rides which I operated: The roller coaster, the topsy turvey etc, etc.
  14. Hepburn's life story is interesting, too: Surviving as a girl in war-torn Europe, etc. She was not only beautiful and talented, but she always carried herself with class, dignity and self-respect. Btw, I think you and she bear a strong physical resemblance
  15. Hi Planted, I'm a fan of Audrey Hepburn, too. I just saw My Fair Lady a week or so ago. (I particularly like the song, "Get me to the church on time.") Breakfast At Tiffany's is one of my favorite films, too.
