I have a horrible back ache today which made my day unhappy.

How awful! Poor doggy. Once I was driving down a street and a black cat ran out in the middle of the road. Last I saw of the cat it was right under my hood. I crunched on my brakes and expected the worst. I got out of traffic, parked and walked the roadside to see what horrible tragedy I was responsible for but to my surprise the cat was no where to be found! They say cats have nine lives.... they must be right!

Jimmy looks very tan in those recent photos. Yes it is a terrible thing how many lives heroin has taken. But I get the illogical thinking that it might make someone more creative. There's no place else to go but up. I can't imagine what it must be like to have a gift like Jimmy's or any of the others. I'm sure there is a lot of external and internal pressure. And I don't think his drug abuse has permanently damaged Jimmy's creativity. Yes heroin has its lasting effects but it was only a bad decision which he's obviously fought through. He's still working in his own way. Plus he says he wants to perform live again, so that probably means that he doesn't think his creativity has been damaged! I don't think we should either.

You are a very inquisitive person geekfreak. I am the same way! I don't know if I have the answers, I have lots of questions! I think that many things in this life seem to be beyond explanation, they just....are. But I enjoy spending my time thinking about these questions because I feel the answers are somewhere within us! There is something in music that helps us lose ourselves and it pulls people together! Hypnotic at times. It's an amazing feeling, a much better feeling than that of being a solitary self. What is it in music that pulls people together in a way that other forms of expression cannot? I think it's awesome how music gives us the ability to feel what is in another soul. How is this? Heavy stuff.

This didn't happen today but the other day. Another thread reminded me of it. While out shopping an adorable little boy, all dressed up in his best button up shirt and trousers, came up to me and gave me his quarter! I asked him why he was giving me his quarter and his mother said he found it in the car and he wanted me to have it. After some time shopping we passed each other and the little boy came back up to me and wanted his quarter back. His mother wouldn't let me give it back to him. It was the cutest thing ever. I melted!

I agree, that's very unkind! I don't understand what it is with people today and their dislike and intolerance of children. Recently I was out shopping and a mother walked passed me severly scolding a little child of 5 or 6 because she had to escort her to the restroom so she could go potty! Children are beautiful, pure, delicate beings and should be treated as such!
