  1. I didn't mean I'm off the thread just the topic of God and religion geekfreak! Some of you who are contributing to this thread are already my favorite people on this forum! Everyone is so kind and respectful in this thread! It's nice. :) If the Black Sabbath records you find are in worse shape than your own it must mean they've seen a lot of play! In a way that's pretty awesome!

    Bonzo

I agree! John Bonham was handsome. He had a great smile.
  3. I love his "F*** yeah!" face that he makes when he's having fun! What kind of guitar is that???
  4. OMG!! I didn't know such pictures existed! That is TOO naughty! Is this an 18 and over forum?? I don't remember if there was a question of age at sign up? I hope that nobody gets offended.......or that Robert minds!
  5. It doesn't matter to me whether someone else believes in God. It's a personal thing like I said before. But I'm officially off the topic because people are getting offended which isn't right.
  6. I love this picture! He's so f***ing cool....
  7. Great photos Scylla! Bearded Jimmy....
  8. It's illuminating how passionate people become, for better or for worse, when talking about God and religion. I'm glad you brought your faith and outlook into the conversation. It's part of who you are!! I hope I have not helped to make you feel this way!
  9. Yardwork. It's super sweaty outside but a beautiful day to get the work done.
  10. No I think it must have been stress because sleep is usually uncomfortable for me.
  11. I used to be like that too Charles J. White! I would have mild panic attacks socializing with people. But then I found work in a field where I recieve a lot of verbal abuse (and some sexual..) from all walks of life. I came to the conclusion that when I'm genuinely pleasant, secure, confident and stand my ground I can handle any social situation. When you have people treating you like s*** you really learn it's senseless to give a damn about what misjudgments strangers may have about you. And you don't seem to have any problem talking on the forum. Sure we are just words on a screen but there is a face behind them. Just like the people at your work, they are faces only you're missing the script! You know, one of the funniest things I have read on this forum was your favorite smells! I think you shouldn't worry about it. Just be yourself everyone will see the good things you have to offer! As for your friends, why don't you try contacting them? More times than not, people can't 'go home' again but sometimes you can! :)
  12. It's all good zepdawg! You're not at fault. I was just clearing up a misunderstanding. :)
  13. I understand where you're coming from. I could offer my thoughts on the Catholic faith but again I don't wish to here because someone might take offense when my intent is not to offend. Let me just say this: There was a time when I thought just like you. I thought if there is God then why is the world such an awful place? Why doesn't he act upon our cries and acknowledge our suffering? But then I came to the realization that we all have free will. We can be who we want to be. We can even destroy ourselves or each other and we often times that is exactly what people choose to do. And I also realized when people are at their weakest and most vulnerable points they always turn to God whether they believe God is there or not. It's like a subconscious thing, it has to be because why would a person go against their own logic? And why do tribal people pray to a God? I don't know too much about history but I'm under the impression that as long as there have been people there has been the belief of God. Logic leads me to believe that it is instinctual. And I think it is perfectly healthy, if not the right thing to do to question God, what he represents and whether he's really there and what role religion plays in all this. I'll stop here and all of this is my opinion of course! Here's a song that I think applies to this discussion here: And thanks I like your name too Plantpothead! That's a funny play on words!
  14. Hi Plantpothead! It was Zepdawg that brought Christ into the conversation, not me. You have misunderstood the purpose of my mentioning Christ's words. For the sake of not offending someone's religious beliefs and teachings (because I probably would!) I will not say anymore here. I'm not the kind of person to force my thoughts on religion or God down anybody's throat. It's a personal thing. If you feel you really need to discuss Christians, the Bible and Jesus Christ with someone who hasn't spent time in church then you are more than welcome to private message me. :)
  15. I am a human being! Let's be friends geekfreak!
  16. I like geekfreak's attitude too! I have never been to church. I listen to my heart!
  17. I agree! Geekfreak is deep. I like him a lot too! And your link tells me that I must be lost! Help!
  18. Anyone who goes out into the real world soon realizes that it generally isn't a pleasant place! If you are a Christian you already know this from Christ's words! And I don't think geekfreak is beating himself up over world peace. We all have an obligation to our fellow man to be good people and to fight for love and truth!
  19. "Hallway Sound". If Jimmy was going through his vaults and found a tape called "Bathroom Sound" why change the name of it? Why is it wrong to keep true to history? I don't see it as 'sneaky'. I think it's cool. Maybe that track means little to you but I can see where it will be appreciated/useful to a budding musician and other Led Zeppelin fans. And didn't Jimmy say the bonus tracks have never been heard before? I thought I read that somewhere.....
  20. I have had a headache slash neckache all day! I think it's stress. Aside from that and some other stuff nobody really wants to hear about life is pretty sweet.
  21. That is so sweet geekfreak! Love is so beautiful!
