It was from Landover, MD I believe. They showed it a few times last night on MTV2. Boundless energy. The first time I saw him was spring of '85 at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse. Unbelievable night!
...and in his Rolling Stone cover interview back in '88, I remember Plant saying Prince and Page together would've been magickal. Certainly would've been memorable.
Nice post, cofa! ??
This man will be missed by so many. As an artist, businessman and a man he cut across all races, genders and musical genres. The outpouring of sadness is already very apparent. I am gutted. Had the honor of seeing him perform live twice, unparalleled. Right now blaring a cd I made years ago of all the great songs from his first 25 years of his recordings. So sad and only 57....
RIP Prince
An artist of this magnitude should be his own death thread. What an amazing talent. He could do it all, musically. As a man he was so humble and kind. A human he gave back so much more than people ever know. There is a huge hole out there tonight and heaven gets another great one.
RIP Prince
They are finishing the remaining dates of their tour. I think that is very cool of them and of Axl to do this. It's not like they are starting a new tour with Rose and it's not like he doesn't already have a high profile summer tour lined up. If people don't want it, they can sell their tickets on stubhub or get a refund. Demand will be high for the 10 remaining US tour dates.
That's what I was getting at. Including NWA, et all who aren't "RnR" groups/solo artist, is a money grab to sell admission up in Cleveland. Expanding the base is where it's at, whether you're the NFL, NASCAR or the RnR HoF.
We're over the moon, ebk! We won't be doing the heavy work! S and I always have a plan waaaay before we ever get into something - hence the reason why we had 3 full kids names ready, when we only decided to have one!
I just hope things good pretty smoothly. We've never built one from dirt before. It's a beautiful lot in a brand new neighborhood for us to call ours as it is built. Closer to Tampa too, for an occasional run down to Bern's!!! I've been picking up some Duckhorn when I find it for a good price! ?
....and here is what you and I were both thinking about...
