  1. Funny video that was sent to me involving Kevin Harvick's just turned 3 year old son, Keelan, driving his birthday present that was given to him by his champion father this past week. The bit about the cat is from last year's Atlanta race where a cat ran across the track in front of Harvick while he was leading the race....of course that's Kevin's teammate and Keelan's girlfriend Danica Patrick at the end of the clip - to the champ goes the spoils! http://www.nascar.com/en_us/news-media/blogs/inside-groove/2015/7/nascarcasm-kevin-harvick-keelan-harvick-danica-patrick.html
  2. ^ Very cool article! Sounds like plans changed from length of the upcoming shows to the location they would be touring. Very interesting!

^ I hope so! She had that "never say die" attitude after being on the ropes in the 2nd set. Very impressive. Serena is unquestionably in the same league as the all-time greats. Congrats to her.
  4. No surprise to me: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000501025/article/study-cowboys-fans-best-in-nfl-dolphins-worst

Serena has won 8 of the last 9 games. Turn out the lights, the party's over!

Got the family together in bed watching the women's championship, with coffee and munchkins. A Walter Family tradition.
  7. Great pics, zepscoda! Got the family with you? What a great view of the field! Enjoy.
  8. Sorry for your loss. Players from our childhood are like big brothers. I couldn't believe it when I heard he wasn't in the Hall yet. He refined the position. RIP Snake
  9. I'm gonna stop at my local record store and ask what they plan on selling them for. It's a small shop, maybe I'll get some goodies or a discount if they know I'm going to pick up the remaining 3 super deluxe box sets. Not gonna pay those prices on Amazon though.

The Open Championship begins next week - already! Seems like last week was the U.S. Open! Looking forward to seeing St. Andrew's again. Definitely one of my top 3 courses to watch. It might be #2 behind Augusta National, but ahead of Pebble Beach. Start thinking about your picks! Where's Rich (fishy)???
  12. I was watching. That was sick, and not in a good way. Last night in Ketucky a truck driven by the nephew of NASCAR's CEO tore a hole in the fence ending the race early. Just glad everyone has walked away from these wrecks, fans included. Two fans from the Daytona have gotten an ambulance chasing lawyer to try to get a settlement from the speedway.... Is Kasey Khane gonna make The Chase this year?
  13. Yeah I watched on tape yesterday. Great start and first 20 or so laps. Looked like Nico might've had something for Hamilton, until that great call to change to rain tires a lap early sealed the deal for Hamilton. Force India is looking better with that new nose. Certainly better than Red Bull or McLaren. With the 2 week break coming up, it seems like the season hasn't gotten any flow going to it.
  14. Safe travels. Have a great time. Full review of everything anticipated and expected!
  15. Seriously, she is just about PERFECTION!
  16. I hadn't seen that, ebk. Anytime the Deadskins lose at anything, it's a good day!
  17. Bcarter, you've outdone yourself yet again...
  18. Btw, if anybody doesn't think Monsanto and other ultra wealthy lobbyist groups/companies don't write the bills that their bought politicians present to begin the process of making it into law at the HOR, aren't paying attention. It's a well known fact.
  19. That was a soft ball question to you. Of course working conditions, child labor laws, etc were horrible back then. It wasn't until workers were able to create unions to stand up for themselves, did their conditions, laws, benefits and pay get better. Have unions been perfect? no. Nothing is. But all this talk about abolishing them is a step in the wrong direction for the Amrrican workers. We already know how corporations treat their employees if they are not made to do the right thing.
  20. I didn't infer anything from your post - I was agreeing with it. If you go back and re read from the top of page 2 to where I responded to your post, you understand what I'm talking about.
  21. Just posting this article here because it has a graph that shows how American productivity has had a steep increased while pay rates basically flat lined over the past 35 years: http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/09/politics/jeb-bush-hillary-clinton-work-hours/index.html
