  1. Well you certainly weren't in upstate New York, where every "Memorial Day 500" countdown on 95x, out of Syracuse, had at least 4 Zep songs in the top 20 and Stairway was always #1! Moved down to Florida in '86 and it was the same down here - even with hip-hop, etc taking off.
  2. Sick Again - May 24, 1975 - Earl's Court, London New Wendy DVD release with sbd/aud mix - love it!
  3. Exactly Strider. As a matter of fact, after the Zep "reunion" at Live Aid there was a sort of renaissance for Zeppelin and their music. Plant's '88 tour was huge and the mega-offers for a tour with Page, Plant, and Jones were coming in right after Live Aid. Their popularity didn't wane much in the states that's for sure!
  4. 40 with a wind chill of 29. Not proper Florida weather for the 20th of February!
  5. Was the cube even around in '75? That is very cool, Sam! Hope there is a way to get one, that doesn't cost an arm AND a leg!
  6. sorry to hear that Kiwi. Hope it all passes soon! My left ear has been plugged up for two days now. I've tried just about everything I know and have read.
  7. Well the sound quality of the first night was very good, but it didn't have the song run I referred to. The second night was another European clap fest (same with 10/2/72) that wrecks the sound quality for me. Even with the set list being the same as 8/4. That's why I give the 8/4 Knebworth show the nod of the four '79 shows. But that's just my opinion.
  8. Didn't know much about her, until today. RIP Lesley Gore
  9. yeah, well the Yankees were too stupid to put that stipulation in his contract. Even though he admitted using before. He is an embarrassment to the unform he wears and the sport he plays!
  10. 70 and sunny this morning. Drove home from my morning appointment with the top down. Going up to the park with Walter Jr. to throw the football around.
  11. Best ever? C'mon. I do enjoy the warm up shows, but Knebworth 8/4 has such a great set list, performance, vibe, and energy. Love the run of songs: Kashmir, TUF, SA, ALS, ITE. It's what the '77 shows were missing in the 2nd half - energy.
  12. Good information! The upcoming super deluxe releases will hopefully solidify what was used for the last 3 albums.
  13. Yep, same here! Gotta have more cow bell!
  14. I purposely stayed away from listening to B&C, so my first listen would be the day I received it. Just listened a few minutes ago and I love it! I'm able to focus on the vocals, drums, and piano jam so much more. Even though there's a huge difference in the song version, I still hear jimmy's wah-wah guitar parts, in my head.
  15. Starting a Selena Gomez thread at 6:54 am on a Sunday morning, Charles? That's kinda creepy! I think she has some talent, but hangs with too much trash. Edit to say: you could've at least got her named spelled right....or is that tough to do when you "think you're turning Japanese"?
  16. Jeff Gordon wins the pole for his final Daytona 500. Matt Kenseth won last night's Sprint Unlimited.
  17. The Sprint Unlimited. First race, albeit unofficial, of the season. Harvick just got wrecked, but they've repaired it the best they can. Go #4!!!!
  18. Lambast away, just not for 50 posts with nothing new to add, please!
  19. No idea - his birthdate? 1-09? In America it would be at least...
  20. That's for sure! It's pretty unnecessary at this point. If you're not enjoying them, fine you're on the record. The rest of us like to discuss the nuances of the songs. If you're on the record for not enjoying them, not buying them, etc. you are not adding anything else by carrying on about it.
