Tonight is the "Mud-summer Classic" from Eldora Speedway. It's the NASCAR Trucks series only dirt race of the year. They have heat races to qualify for the big 150 lap main race. If you've never watched dirt racing - it is unlike anything ever done on asphalt. Fox Sports 1 is carrying the race, coverage begins around 7 pm. This weekend the Cup and Nationwide Series visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The racing isn't as great as it was at IRP, but the vibe of the race is pretty intense. Go Harvick!

Well said, Sean. I am very sad to read this. I was thinking the same thing about not having seen a post by her in quite a while. She always had a kind word to say for Mrs. Walter. A kind heart. RIP pottedplant My condolences to her family and friends.

I thought last year was bad, can the Yankees have MORE injuries? Their top three starters out, no offense to speak of and a number of injuries on that side as well. At least they get a look at their minor league players....

I saw that tour twice also. In October '87 and May '88. The first one was much better, plus the 2nd was in the rain! Saw them again in '94 - I thought that one was the best of all. Caught Waters on The Wall tour twice also. First one was incredible!

Yes, but Def Leppard sound like Aerosmith in the 90's. Too much pop rock and not the heaviness of the 70's Aerosmith, IMO.

Congratulations to Rory McIlroy on winning the Open Championship yesterday, he really played a beautiful 4 rounds of golf. Still cant believe the weather wasn't a factor at all during the tourney. I heard an interesting stat yesterday....Rory is only the third golfer in history to win three out of four majors by the age of 25. The other two - Jack Nicklaus (age 23) and Tiger Woods (age 24)...not bad company.

Yes, I watched today and he was impressive. Good racing all the way around! Fun watching the duel between Alonso and Riccardo. Hamilton was amazing coming from the back and with all of that wing damage. Only a 14 point lead for Rosberg....

Have they ever moved up tee times, as they did today, to avoid inclement weather? I've seen them play through horrid conditions before. Is there a lot of lightening associated with this storm? What's the forecast for tomorrow? Rory eagled 16&18 and now has a 1/2 dozen shot lead....

Do you find the lyrics on TDB better than, worse than, or equal to AMLOR, JTM? I always felt AMLOR was more like a Gilmour solo disc than TDB. Kinda like TFC more like a Water's solo disc than TW.

Rory should be so much further ahead than he is. So many missed putts, that were very reasonable, for bird. If/when the weather picks up we shall see who's really brought their "A" game. Phil seems to think he will be right there if the weather goes as expected tomorrow. He said he's hitting it "the best he ever has".... Yes, CP, it looks beautiful there! Cheers!
