Better weather than what was forecasted, thus far.... Tiger looks like he's falling apart to start his second round. +3 after 2 holes, E for the tourney.
  2. Thoughts and prayers for the victims and their families. It'll be another finger pointing game, unless there is legitimate hard evidence. I'm sure conspiracy theorists are already ramping up some crazy scenarios....
  3. Yeah, I've heard it before Rick. Apparently you are waiting on time to take the Patriots and Spurs out of contention - still waiting though, aren't you.... San Antonio has a good mix, which is why they have been in the Finals two years in a row. This appears to be a transition period for the NBA. Could have a first time champ this season, OKC anyone?
  4. We will see....anytime Bosh has been "the man", his team hasn't gone far and Wade certainly isn't getting any younger. It'll certainly test all facets of their organization. San Antonio certainly has to be happy with how free agency turned out so far, nobody has really put together a great roster.

I just love the different style of golf it takes to compete on those links courses. Especially when the weather gets rough! That's the fun part, for me. It is a different sort of test on their game and mental toughness. That's why I believe guys who are most used to those types of conditions and style will prevail this weekend. I'd just kick back at home too. Maybe time for a little "wake and bake" with coffee is in order.... Coverage begins over here at 4 am!

McDowell Rose Westwood I think with the weather forecasts they've been giving over here, I have to go with European players. I will be surprised if an American is in contention on Sunday. I don't have a good feel for this week at all. It'll be fun though!
  7. I think it's a case of schedules not coinciding with them. They are all so busy with so many different projects, it seems like they caught lightening in a bottle when they were able to put the album and tour together the first time around. The closest they came to me was 6 hours away in Atlanta at The Tabernacle. IF that happens again, I'll be traveling 6 hours to see them!
  8. Trout triples, Jeter scores...1-0 AL!
  9. Great theatre! Jeter doubles in his first at-bat!!! Second stat for tonight - Jeter has played in over 2,600 games for the Yanks and ONLY ONE where they were mathematically eliminated. That is insane!
  10. McCutchen was out! They should've challenged it! Great play by Jeter!
  11. Great ovation for Jeter, honoring some teachers right now...23 of the last 28 all-star game winners have had the World Champs come out of their league -that's with and without the home field advantage tagged on there. There is my stat for tonight. I see two O's in the starting line-up, Rick. Go American League!
  12. The Ballad of Urgency/Wiser Time - The Black Crowes
  13. Ten Years Gone - Seattle - July 17, 1977 One of my favs!
  14. Plus in America there had to be a counter swing to all of the light poppy music that was popular at the time and Zeppelin filled that void - followed by legions of others after them. That's always the case here, just like the poppy "hair metal" turning to heavy, non-glam, and "grunge" in the late 80's/early 90's.
  15. Nobody's Fault But Mine - Seattle - July 17, 1977 Video.
  16. Happy Birthday TypeO! Hope you have a great day and listen to Presence, for old times sake!
  17. Like I said, people tend to lean one way or the other - and then there's the fans who say Floyd ended with Syd....
  18. The Yankees might need Tommy John! No, I don't watch the HR derby anymore. Maybe check in, if nothing else is on...but not all of it.
  19. Given that Tanaka is on the DL, I'll have to go with KF. Home Run Derby tonight.
  20. I agree, JTM, about the lyrics on those two discs. That's the rub with this band though. Typically people either lean towards the Waters material or the Gilmour. I thought The Final Cut and some of The Wall were not up to snuff because the music suffered with Roger in full control, plus his style of singing is better for songs like Nobody's Home and his portion of Comfortably Numb (Pigs from Animals also) and not as the main lead singer role. But that's just my opinion. David's vocals I prefer and when the music was more of a group collaboration, I also prefer. For The Division Bell, even though the lyrics lacked a lot to be desired, it was better than AMLOR or TFC. I am also glad they will not tour behind this release. When Gilmour does release his solo disc, I hope he does a better job with touring it here in the U.S. (with more than just a handful of dates) than he did for his last one.
