  1. Got the Feb. 12, 1975 MSG show up on youtube. Not a great performance, but pretty solid for 75. Added depth to the flat soundboard.
  2. If you can link me to the Departee download I can create a patched version. I have the complete soundboard. I'll even upload it to Youtube.
  3. Burn Like A Candle is one of my favs, but I intentionally left out anything part of an official realease, like How The West Was Won. But I'd encourage anyone to listen to the entire unedited show. And I definitely leaned toward sound quality over performance so new listeners wouldn't be turned off immediately. Otherwise there would have been more Japan shows from 71.
  4. It was actually a toss-up between those three 77 shows, and I chose Houston based on sound quality and thinking Page was just slightly better there. It has some highlights like Kashmir and that Alembic really cutting through on Nobodys Fault But Mine.
  5. I know there's probably a lot of bootleg lists already, but I thought I'd throw my two cents on the table. I picked out what I thought were five essential boots from each touring year between 1969 and 1977, judging by sound quality versus performance and omitting anything that has been officially released (BBC Sessions, etc.). Input and comments about other shows are welcome. 1969 Jan. 5- West Hollywood, CA (Live at Whiskey A Go Go). Sound quality alone makes this a treasure. April 24- San Francisco (The Dancing Avocado). Amazing sound and playing. Jones is up front and showing off. April 27- San Francisco (Fillmore West). June 27- London (Playhouse Theater). Radio show featuring an interview. Great sound and performance. Aug. 31- Dallas, TX (International Pop Festival). Great sound. Some of their best playing from the entire year. 1970 Jan. 9- London (Royal Albert Hall). One of the top three on just about any list. Amazing sound and performance. March 7- Montreux (Casino De Montreux). Explosive show with excellent sound. March 21- Vancouver (Pure Blues/Mudslide). Decent sound with monumental performances of several songs. April 8- Raleigh, NC. Good sound with one of the best White Summer/Black Mountainside performances. Sept. 4- Inglewood, CA (Live On Blueberry Hill). Good sound with a rare Bron Y Aur performance. Very long set list. 1971 Aug 31- Orlando, FL (Orlando Magic/Florida Sunshine). Patched soundboard with thunderous drums. Sept. 4- Toronto (Maple Leaf Gardens). Patched soundboard with the best Celebration Day performance. Sept. 9- Hampton, VA. Sept. 14- Berkeley, CA (Going To California/Berkeley Daze). Sept. 29- Osaka, Japan (Festival Hall) 1972 Feb. 25- Auckland, NZ. Energetic show with decent sound. Feb. 27- Sydney, Australia (Sydney Showgrounds). June 22- San Bernadino, CA (Swing Auditorium). Oct. 2- Budokan, Japan. Oct. 9- Osaka, Japan (Festival Hall). 1973 Jan. 22- Southampton University (Any Port In A Storm). Multitracked! March 16- Vienna, Austria (Happiness Is A Warm Gun). Hands down the best playing by Page. March 23- Offenburg, Germany (It's Not Warm, It's Hot). May 13- Mobile, Alabama (Alabama Getaway). May 19- Ft. Worth, TX (Tympani For The Butter Queen). Excellent soundboard. 1975 Feb. 6- Montreal (1975 World Tour). Page playing like his old self. Feb. 12 Madison Square Garden, NY (Flying Circus/Four Blocks In The Snow) March 3- Ft. Worth (Rock Super Stars). Bonham breaks loose on this one. March 21- Seattle (Deus Ex Machina). Probably the most impressive show of the tour. May 25- Earls Court (Demand Unprecedented In The History Of Rock). Great soundboard and long set list. 1977 April 27- Cleveland, OH (Destroyer). Very balanced soundboard, good performance. May 21- Houston, TX (The Dragon Snake). Great balanced soundboard, though Page is slacking a little. June 21- Los Angeles Forum, California (Listen To This Eddie). Monumental live performance. June 25- Los Angeles Forum, California (Badgeholder's Annual Meeting). June 27- Los Angeles Forum, California (Mike The Mike). Rare acoustic Dancing Days. Edit: I'd like to change the June 27, 1977 show to June 23rd, 1977. Much better playing from Jimmy.
  6. No love for Munich? I thought that was an excellent show apart from sound quality.
  7. This is exactly what I was thinking for the 23rd Kashmir. He and Page seem to be missing each others cues a little and in one spot Bonzo hits the bass drum three beats in a row, like he's trying to get back on time. I really don't think he could hear himself well and was playing it by feel.
  8. But compare this one to the others from EC. He either started out the wrong tempo or purposely slowed it down for some reason.
  9. I was going through the EC stuff and just happened to notice Bonzo here. It's almost as bad as San Diego 77. I'm preety sure they almost come to a complete stop a couple times.
  10. I agree with the Jack Daniels, but I think it was during Moby Dick, as there's a noticeable decline in his fluidity towards the last part of Dazed. He's fucking sloshed by the time BD rolls around, but manages to get through it like a pro.
  11. I completely agree. His fluidity at Montreal is unlike anything else I've heard from the 75 tour. If anyone would like to post side by side comparisons of 75 songs, I'll be glad to listen and compare, but this show really stands out to me for Page. He's simply on fire for this show. He's playing like he's got something to prove.
  12. Immigrant Song from Orlando 71. By far the heaviest version of this song. Bonzo's drums are up front and Plant's primal screams are like nothing else from this era of rock music.
  13. Lol, I feel ya. Welcome to the forum. Your summary of the show is right on par with how I feel. I think this show might be number one on my soundboard wish list. I had downloaded it weeks before but didn't really sit down and listen to it. Once I did, I had to keep checking to make sure it was a 75 date. My brain couldn't accept that Page was playing this well in 75.
  14. I'm not as disapointed in the material as I am the way it was released. That alternate SIBLY turned me on to the song after being bored by it for so long. One thing is certain with Zep and their marketing; Greed and product control to the max. Why not release all the companion songs on a double/triple disc set with new artwork? Forcing people to buy/rebuy all the albums was just begging for them to be pirated. At least a compilation album with new original artwork would've given collectors a good reason to buy it. It's no different than putting Hey Hey What Can I Do on a single instead of the album, just to force the sell of the single. In the digital age, this just isn't smart marketing.
  15. Those Dallas shows kinda bore me for some reason. Even though the OTHAFA is highly regarded, it's still not my favorite from 75. I like the 3/3 show a little more due to Bonzo flexing.
  16. That Kashmir is my favorite version. Not sure which source you have, but mine has Robert's vocals clipping quite often, unfortunately. Edit: I thought I was on the last page of this thread lol.
  17. I'd guess the promoter was trying to "promote" himself a little and allowed the film crew in so he could show off and look like a big shot slinging money around. You can tell Cole is very uncomfortable about the whole thing, especially considering musicians at the time were under heavy scrutiny for tax evasion. It's definitely a weird situation though.
  18. It's certainly a matter of opinion, but I've always thought Page was below average on Destroyer. That TSRTS sounds like his fingers are taped together.
  19. Something Page always struggled with on the 75 tour- the Black Dog solo. This one is from Baton Rouge. How this show started off so great and turned a bit so bad near the end baffles me. I think Page may have indulged backstage during Moby Dick.
  20. I did a quick remaster on the Tempe Achilles and brightened it up. If you don't listen closely it doesn't seem different, but if you do pay attention, holy crap. They're all playing/singing different parts of the song out of sync. It's almost comical.
  21. This is the reverb setting I usually stick to. You'll have to play around and see what you like best. I do just enough to add depth to a soundboard. The "SIZE" and "MIX" settings are what make the biggest differences. I keep both kinda low. Delay I usually don't bother with because it can muddy up the mix. If you do use delay, make sure the feedback is very low so it doesn't carry over too much. You don't want it to last much more than a second and very subtle.
  22. Here's one where Jimmy fudges What Is And What Should Never Be, though he gets back on track.
  23. What are some songs they played live that just make you cringe? Is there a bad version of The Rain Song? They played it so well consistently that I don't know if I've heard a bad version.
  24. Even though the show in total wasn't great, I really like the acoustic set from San Diego 1977 with Mystery Train.
  25. Here's one I did of No Quarter from 2/28/1975, Baton Rouge. Again, just adding some reverb, slight delay, and EQ adjustment. If anyone wants the whole show PM me.
