  1. I have been reading a bunch of different statistics and find myself being very confused. This article below may even have me more confused. I will have to re-read it a few times to get it I suppose. But at first and second read, it seems to say that white people are the largest percentage of our population who are not vaccinated. I don’t know, I have a headache from it. Below is from KFF.org As of this week, 77% of the adult population in the United States have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. While this progress represents a marked achievement in vaccinations that has led to steep declines in COVID-19 cases and deaths, vaccination coverage—and the protections provided by it—remains uneven across the country. With the continued spread of the more transmissible Delta variant, cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are rising, largely among unvaccinated people. While as of September 21, 2021, White adults accounted for the largest share (60%) of unvaccinated adults,1 Black and Hispanic people remain less likely than their White counterparts to have received a vaccine, leaving them at increased risk, particularly as the variant spreads. However, the data show that these disparities are narrowing over time, particularly for Hispanic people. black people have received smaller shares of vaccinations compared to their shares of cases, deaths, and the total population in more than half of states reporting data. In the remaining reporting states, the share of vaccinations they have received is similar to their shares of cases, deaths, and the total population. For example, in Florida, Black people have received 9% of vaccinations, while they make up 15% of cases, 17% of deaths, and 15% of the total population. Reflecting disproportionate levels of infection, Hispanic people have received smaller shares of vaccinations compared to their shares of cases in most reporting states. Their share of vaccinations is similar or higher than their shares of deaths in most reporting states. However, in some states it remains lower. For example, in California, 31% of vaccinations have gone to Hispanic people, while they account for 61% of cases, 47% of deaths, and 40% of the total population in the state.
  2. What is this picture of? What is it is in relationship too? Certainly looks like a cluster Fu&$ wherever it is. Are these Haitian refugees? And I’m curious, are we in darker times than we have been in before? Certainly waking up the day after 9/11 seemed really dark. Or for a certain group of people waking up after elections have not gone the way the way they wanted it to go. Those also seemed like dark times I would imagine. Waking up the morning after the 89 Lima Prieta Earthquake was pretty crazy. If I missed what this picture was about I apologize. Just not sure what it is a picture of?
  3. Yeah this is a sad loss. I would like to say my wife was a huge fan of sex in the city. Truth is, I liked the show as well. She certainly led me to the show. He played many great roles, and yes Bob, he seemed like a genuine good dude. I usually don’t get effected by celebrity deaths. I honestly believe that they have been effecting me more lately because it makes me think of my own mortality. When you’re a kid, in your early 30’s late 20’s, death and being old seems so far away. You get to be in your mid 40’s or older and realize if you are lucky, you are on the back 9. Bless all of their families. Time is short, I hope I can learn to appreciate life and people more in the present, and in the future.
  4. This is absolutely incredible! I also wonder how much of this is in someone’s collection somewhere.
  5. No disagreement on this. Pretty crazy. KFC smugglers get jail time? Wow. In other crazy news, Michael Flynn is now pushing some crazy conspiracy theory that a certain group of people are tainting/providing the COVID vaccine in salad dressing! Has he totally lost his mind? I listened to his quote several times to be sure. In an interview he actually says “ somebody sent me something this morning that they are trying to put the vaccine in salad dressing “! Where that came from was, a new study researching how mRNA vaccines could be grown in edible plants. To be on an interview show and act like Anthony Crispino ( Bobby Moynihan) character from SNL is outrageous! My point is, there is a large to massive group of respected people pushing conspiracies and sowing seeds of doubt where there are none. These are people who are influential. It is insanely irresponsible. Going back to KFC smuggling, to be arrested for that is CRAZY!
  6. RIP Anthony Johnson. He was a funny talented comedian, and played hilarious role in the movie Friday.
  7. Yes Sir, he had to of. It’s just really fascinating to me, especially when I think of the era and the band, other than Jimmy not really having a name. Cheers Steve.
  8. Great job by Steve. It is so mind blowing to me that people knew, and were tapping people that early. I know there were people bootlegging Dylan, Stones, and the Beatles among others. But it is strange to me that people were recording Zeppelins first shows. Of course they were on tour with some groups that had a following. But to tape their shows and to have held onto them is pretty amazing. Pre anything other than radio and word of mouth. Also to hear the growth of the band, to hear them stretching their set, and getting tighter is also incredibly cool to hear and be able to go back to.
  9. 9 hours ago, JohnOsbourne said: Possibly he miscounted; October '72 was the last time Zep was in Japan/Asia, no? Yes that is the last time they were in either of those countries. I was basing that off of the belief that this was an Asian American show as well. Also I was looking some stuff up this morning, they might elude to it on Steve Hoffman’s forum. There was a topic on Local music stations across the country. I’ll try and find it. But it basically talked about LA stations that played local L.A bands, except Robert Plants Pink and Black video. The only problem I have with it being a local show is it seems pretty well produced, and seems like they spent some money on the program. Certainly more than my local CMC in the Bay Area did. I wonder if Richard Cole would know who he is?
  10. At the beginning of the interview he mentions to Robert that it has been 12 years since he has seen him which would be 1973. Man, that’s a tough one.
  11. Yeah that is awesome! I don’t think I’ve seen that before.
  12. Well the hospitalizations are certainly significantly lower in the vaccinated. But that is interesting. Did it mention the age groups of those deaths related to the vaccinated group? Also were they fully vaccinated at that percentage. The second link you provided I’m still trying to sort through.
  13. What an exciting time this was. I have a few questions. I was able to see them twice in 95, on May 20th in San Jose was an amazing show. I’ve tried to find reviews and haven’t been able too. Would you have any. I also have two bootleg CD’s of this show, one of them says it was an official radio broadcast. I’ll try and dig them up and send you pics to get your thoughts. There 1998 tour was absolutely fantastic! Musically they were crushing it. I wish Robert hadn’t walked away from it. Thanks for this thread, it’s awesome to go back and re-live the excitement of that time.
  14. Well except this isn’t true. It’s about an equitable distribution. And perhaps more about Desantis playing politics with peoples lives. If one considers that he along with Texas governor actually are threatening punishments to those companies and facilities that have a mask mandate. And while I certainly value your opinion, and thoughts on this subject along with others, RedState is nothing more than a blog. It’s not a reliable new source. Hardly a news website. It typically uses very sensational headlines and words to grab people’s attention. There is part truth to this article, that the Biden administration cut the amount of Monoclonal treatments that were being distributed. I’m not taking a side on this argument. I’m just pointing out that this blog from Redstate doesn’t have it right.
  15. Yep, and I’m jealous! I used to smoke, and smoke a lot, for the wrong reasons for sure. I had my dealings with opioids. Had a serious back injury from lifting. And on the stress I have some of that, I’m a small business owner here in California. I’m in the electrical industry. I would like something to slow my mind down, or at least be able to relax with the wife and have some mellow fun. But this new stuff is so much more powerful than what we or I grew up on. I’m old enough to remember when it was hard to get anything other than brown weed. Drinking isn’t my thing as well, I don’t like something that I couldn’t wash my face and drink some water and be okay. Not that I don’t have a few every once and a while. But I have a few buddies that say it’s just about finding the right kind. Cheers to you this weekend, hope you have a good one. Stay safe out there. Don’t let the Pillow Dr. or Mr Alex Jones PHD corrupt your mind with all of their truths and alternative facts!
  16. Hahahaha! That just went to another level. Good for the Fraternity guy. I don’t think I understand how this generation below me has been able to monopolize the internet. It is amazing to me how this gentleman and countless others are able to make really good money just giving testimonies, or advice, or just talking about nothing. I have a little brother that was hired by EA sports from being involved in a basketball tournament online. Now this young man makes really good money designing NBA games and basically playing the game and making adjustments. And he was able to get this job over 10 years ago by simply spending way to much time in his room playing video games against other kids who were also spending way to much time in their rooms playing video games! I was busy with a paper-route and mowing lawns, and actually playing sports for real. But hey, it takes all kinds and at the age of 45ish it is pretty interesting to watch and be a part of all the crazy changes that society is going through and has gone through. That’s what I’m in deep thought about. I also wish I enjoyed weed. I have tried to enjoy it. But the older I get, the more anxious I get, and the paranoia is just not worth it.But I’m jealous of those who can smoke, or eat their marijuana and have fun and not turn into a spun-out, worried, anxiety ridden, little tweaker!
  17. I did not know that about the acting. And hey, good for him that he had a hit record and I’m assuming made some coin and had some fun. I would like to think I have a better voice, I’m sure my daughter and wife would say it is a toss up.
  18. That’s a great practice/habit to create or to do. And great advice. Sometimes just something as simple as shutting off all the noise around us can help us to get grounded and get some perspective, or at the least just remember to be in the moment, and to enjoy the simple things in life. I know I’m a couple weeks late on the reply to your post/thought. But I could not agree more. Have a great night Paul.
  19. Manson is a Retarded Douche! And as Dom Irrara one of my favorite comedians would say” I don’t mean that in a bad way”! But he really is just a retarded, douchey, pig. Although, I do like a lot of his early work, well up to Dope Show. I can’t honestly say I know how responsible he was for the bands sound. But some of their stuff was very good. Still, I don’t mean this in a bad way, he just seems like a real dick. I could be wrong.
  20. Yeah he did. Like if Bobby D was 20-30lbs heavier in Taxi Driver. Alright, so if Right Said, and Milli Vanilli are just world class, are the Fine Young Cannibals perhaps the worst band and group ever. Or more specifically did the lead singer have maybe the worst voice ever. I’ve been spending some time in deep thought about that.
  21. Thanks. Man time is just flying by! It’s absolutely crazy to think that when Page and Plant hooked up in 94 that 14 years had passed since they had toured and we are now passing the 14 year mark from 07. It’s incredible and sometimes depressing. Thanks again Steve.
  22. Sexiest song ever! And we should be honest. He was way to sexy for his shirt. No question.
  23. I had never thought about that. Interesting, and thinking about it I’m certain that it had an effect on Music Videos. There were certainly Videos that Bands were putting out before TSRTS, but undoubtedly it had something to do with it. I don’t know if this is the thread for this question, but The Rolling Stones video for Waiting on a Friend was shot in front of the building that Zeppelins Physical Graffiti album cover was shot. Does anyone know if there was or is any significance to that? I thought I had read that there was. But I could be making that up.
  24. Yeah they made Hall and Oates look like amateur hour! Simon and Garfunkel were not fit to tie their shoes 👟! Sam and Dave! Forget about it, Everly Brothers, no comparison. I have to say, to be deep thinking about Milley Vanilli is one of my favorite pastimes and I’m just thankful there is another human who I share that with. I personally have been spending a lot of time in Deep Thought about Right Said Fred!
