remember my plan few days ago, depending on results of final weekend if Bills/Cincy needed to be played for seeding then play their game next weekend, everyone else rests and once that game determines seeding begin playoffs 1 week later with only a week separating championship game and super bowl, think personally that commissioner was run over by players union , they showed during covid they can adapt and play mid week etc... I guess they chose the easier path forward, i'm sure Bills fans and Bengal fans are pissed they beat Chiefs head to head and chiefs will be resting, oh well.....

seasoned 9 pound pork butt last nite and just put it on around 6:15am on my new electric smoker set at 230 degrees, only 27 here this morning but should be eating pulled pork with german potato salad and home made coleslaw around 5-6 tonight

so nfl came up with their plan and don't care for it, so no re make of bills/ Bengals game, if Bills and Chiefs both win then Chiefs will get 1 seed and bye week 1, if both lose and Bengals win all 3 have same record then tie breakers take effect and if they meet in afc championship then game will be played in neutral site rendering all teams work since training camp won't matter, so in one regard a neutral site can be called fair but believe Bills could be biggest loser here especially since they beat kc head to head as did Cincy but are being penalized for playing 1 fewer game, I proposed few days back on pick em pool they still could play Bills/ Cincy on wildcard weekend and delay playoffs for that first week, only if this weeks results dictated for playoff seeding that game must be played, start wildcard 1 week later and instead of 2 weeks break before super bowl we would only have 1 week and perhaps a more competitive super Bowl, wonder if players union had a big say in all this? anyways good news is Bills player is coming around, cheers

the only other option would be back up playoff schedule 1 week to finish bills/cincy seeding and end up with 1 week lead up to super bowl vs. the standard 2 weeks, unless of course what ever happens this weekend would somehow not effect the playoff seeding thus bills game doesn't have to be made up?

i kept spraying the bark at the 4 hour mark every time i filled the chip tray however next time when I hit 160 internal temp I will remove and double wrap with quality butcher paper and stick in oven at 250 until we reach 195, I just didn't have the paper but still came out pretty good

starting smoking a 11 pound brisket on new smoker my kids got me for xmas at 5am this morning, should be done around 6 pm, around 4 will throw in on a second rack sweet potatos and corn on cob, first time doing this, watched a few youtube videos, popping apple woodchips every hour, hopefully it will be fantastic, either way its football sunday, its new years and i'll have a few beers along the way😃
