    FULL MOON

I can't top that time exposure, but here's what I got. By the time it came up on the west coast it was in full eclipse and I couldn't even see it in my viewfinder. So, I waited for it to come out of eclipse.

Thanks. I'll post some pics. It's going to be clear tonight here in the northwest.

    FULL MOON

I have a 30 power zoom on my camera (my friend has a 60 power Sony) and we will compare pics tonight. I also like that I can set my $200 camera manually. This was July 31st, this year.
  4. I mentioned him a couple weeks ago in the baseball thread.
  5. We watched 'The Tin Drum' (1979) A quirky movie and pretty racy for the time. Danzig in the 1920s/1930s. Oskar Matzerath, son of a local dealer, is a most unusual boy. Equipped with full intellect right from his birth he decides at his third birthday not to grow up as he sees the crazy world around him at the eve of World War II. So he refuses the society and his tin drum symbolizes his protest against the middle-class mentality of his family and neighborhood, which stand for all passive people in Nazi Germany at that time. However, (almost) nobody listens to him, so the catastrophe goes on.
  6. Did you know they're doing a remake?

    Sky Watch

When we drove near Marfa, Texas at night I stopped and I have never seen so many stars in my life from horizon to horizon. I will never forget that. The Perseids was a good show too here in Washington.
  8. Happy Belated Birthday, Kid!
  9. There's always this option.
  10. I couldn't believe it as after the car hit the fence the engine and tranny flew out and one driver just missed hitting it. That's a souvenir I wouldn't mind having. Can't imagine the force of coming to a dead stop from almost 200 mph, but the driver was a-ok. I would think that NASCAR has the same stipulation as baseball where they are not responsible if you are hit with a ball, bat or car debris. Fuckin' lawyers. Kasey is currently in 11th place in the overall standings, so I guess anything can happen. Lots of racing left.
  11. Just not my cup of tea. I thought that since Colin Firth was in it............
  12. I see where 'they' are going to do a remake of 'The Birds.' God help us. We just watched 'Kingsman: The Secret Service.' God help us.
  13. Who saw the finish last night at Daytona? That was as wild as it gets. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nascar/2015/07/06/austin-dillon-daytona-crash-catchfence-fans/29756453/
  14. Amazing. I was the model for the bottom pic.
  15. It rides pretty low too with 13 inch stock wheels.
  16. This is a chocolate lab that comes over from the neighbor's and he just loves for us to throw a ball, stick, basketball or whatever for him. His name is Duke. A short video I made of him.
  17. That's great. Our local oil change place has one of the original bricks from there. It's a big ass brick.
  18. I decided to take the car for a test just around the block today, even though it's been blazing hot the past week, which is not normal for this part of the country. I vacuumed the interior, cleaned all the windows and fired her up. It starts so easy now and runs like a top. It took a bit to get used to the 4 speed on the floor and finding reverse, but I was getting it. One thing for danged sure is the brakes definitely need work. Also, the generator light was staying on, but that could just be the contacts as the connectors are pretty rusty. I'll clean them next time and see what happens. I just don't like working on an engine while dripping sweat. I love the huge steering wheel too. Next too is getting all the lights to work, but I am very happy with the car and even in the neighborhood it was turning some heads. Will post more pics soon.

    FULL MOON

We wouldn't have seen this last night until we saw a deer in our backyard. The moon just coming up.
  20. I will, Strider. Just waiting for this heat wave to subside. Not normal for this part of the country.
