  1. I'll never swim Kern River again.
  2. Merle Haggard passed away today. I think he was one of the best country artists ever. His voice was awesome.
  3. Am waiting for a 50mm wide angle and 150mm telephoto for my Bronica. They practically give them away on EBAY, whereas back in the 70's these lenses were damned expensive. Now is the time to invest in 'analog.'
  4. Loved him in 'Thunderbolt & Lightfoot' and 'Tick, Tick, Tick' RIP young man.
  5. HAH!! A very deceptive ad showing 4 rolls and the price was for one roll.
  6. Famous last words. I just scored four rolls on EBAY for $31. It's outdated, but I don't care. I'll get something out of it.
  7. A short, Spanish dance song that has great castanets.
  8. 'Whatever happened to pubic hair?'------Herb on Two And A Half Men
  9. A sunny and nice 'teaser day' here yesterday, but that never lasts in the northwest.
  10. I always liked 'Those Shoes' and 'King Of Hollywood' by the Eagles. King of Hollywood Well he sits up there on his leatherette Looks through pictures of the ones That he hasn't had yet When he thinks he wants a closer look He gets out his little black telephone book Come sit down here beside me honey Let's have a little heart to heart Now look at me and tell me darlin' How badly do you want this part? Are you willing to sacrifice And are you willing to be real nice All your talent and my good taste I'd hate to see it go to waste We gon' get you an apartment, honey We gon' get you a car Yeah, we gon' take care of you, darlin' We gon' make you a movie star
  11. That it is. They're built like tanks.
  12. Thanks, zepscoda. Kodak quit making infrared film. It's way overpriced on EBAY. Post an SF pic if you get one.
  13. I'm going back to film. Here's an infrared shot in Bodie, CA I recently bought a Bronica S-2 with a 75mm Nikkor lens on EBAY for $250. (Hasselblad's are still too expensive). I love the sound of the shutter. I also have a 1967 Rolleicord, A Nikomat and a Nikon FTN body that I also got from EBAY for $39. I am now regretting selling my Toyo 4x5 view camera. Back to 'old school.'

    That's what I'm waiting for........better odds.
  17. I believe this guy is still in San Francisco. https://vimeo.com/46128116
  18. PS- The scene above is long gone thanks to development.
  19. Yes, those are awesome photos. He ranks right up there with the best of the old time street photographers. I have recently gotten back into my old film cameras too. I have a Rolleicord, a Nikon FTN, a Nikomat, 3 lenses and a Gossen Luna Pro meter. I am thinking of trying to get a Hasselblad too now that they are fairly affordable. I think I've actually become bored with digital photography. It just doesn't have the same feel as cocking the shutter, hearing that nice sound as the shutter trips and using the light meter. Here's one I took back in the 70's. The original was in color.
  20. Frank Burns was my fave. I loved the episode where the guy made Trapper John a pinstripe suit and all the stripes were horizontal.
  21. Merry Christmas to you all, too. We're heading out for a nice dinner near Seattle.
  22. I don't know if anyone has posted this.
