Her name was Carolyn Helman or Heldman... She was quite the looker (but didn't get much on air time). I had a few friends that worked for MTV back in it's original days (when they were actually a cool/alternative station and played "music"). Nowadays, it's a complete joke (and most of their sister stations for that fact, too). VH1 plays the same stuff, too. VH1 Classic plays some videos and concerts (so, it's the last of it's kind). She was among the first new VJs hired around 1987 with Adam Curray (poser/original Headbangers ball host) and Julie Brown (english one not the Red Head comedienne) (after the first 5 who started in August, 1981: Mark Goodman, Nina Blackwood, JJ Jackson, Alan Hunter and Martha Quinn). Considering Led Zeppelin were not a "singles" band, they did/have done very well to be # 30 in England (where 99.9% of the others listed were/are singles bands. Perhaps, the big reason Led Zeppelin were not as "big" in England was for this very reason. I'm glad they focused on playing/touring around the world. They proved they were/are the biggest band of them all (regardless of what critics, singles formatted radio and singles buyers thought/think). What's amazing is the fact that they weren't a singles band and focused mainly on their albums (but many songs on their albums were never played live when they were a band--- example: In Through the Outdoor and Presence have quite a few songs on them that have never been played live as well as songs like "Houses of the Holy" from Physical Grafitti (originally recorded during the Houses sessions). Radio still can't ignore them as there's a classic rock station in every major city in every country around the world somewhere playing Zeppelin at this very moment... Additionally, there's some teenager out there who is just learning about and rockin' out to Zeppelin (sharing the experience with their friends). Great Rock N Roll Will Never Die!!! R

Also, One has to be careful as well about buying fake collectibles... There's tons on the internet, at record shows and elsewhere... There's a guy out of Virginia that sold/ possibly still sells scans of tour books, laminates, passes, etc that are all reproductions... (and tries to pass them off as legit at record shows)... There's also a few places that sell overpriced repros on the West Coast... R

I actually liked Walking into Clarksdale (the songs and that Page and Plant got together to do something new of sorts). I didn't like the production of it (like others) though. I'd be cool to see them (Page, Plant, Jones and Jason) do "Shining in the Light" and/or perhaps "Most High" from Clarksdale. Also a medley of Plant's "Calling to You" going into "Kashmir" in the future live would be cool, too (the eastern feel). 1998 was a cool year: to see them live on that tour and meet Page and Plant (briefly) was a great memory (so that makes me have fond memories of the Clarksdale period).
