One of Jimi's Guitars from the Seattle Music Experiance Museum
We've never been but my husband is a huge Hendrix fan and has talked of going up there to see that museum.
On the subject of Hendrix, we thought this vid of Hendrix and the Stones was fascinating:

CHRIS CORNELL tickets for Saturday!!!!!
Woo Hoo !!!!!!!
Three decent shows on the same night...
Taj Mahal
The Mountain Goats
Seen Taj several times though so....I'm Jazzed!!
Small theater, intimate atmosphere.
If it's anything like the show we attended, it should be fantastic. Cornell is touring with Yogi Lonich, who is excellent.

Glastonbury 1981: http://www.ukrockfestivals.com/glastonbury...tival-1981.htmlThe heroin had probably kicked in prior to the skirmish.
I haven't thought of that incident in years! I remember reading about that when it happened and being surprised that Roy Harper was involved in an onstage skirmish. My husband and I talked about it and the first thing we thought of was that the combination of heroin and alcohol had affected Ginger.

MSG, I would never complain about hot and sexy pictures of our Pagey (especially in that shirt)...
Pagey on his knees, always a weakness for me...
Let's be honest with ourselves, ILJP, when it comes to our weaknesses, that shirt represents only the tip of the iceberg.
And, don't get me started about anybody being on his or her knees.

^^^ lost that picture such a good shot with him and his danelectro.
Another good shot of Jimmy and his Danelectro:

Ha ha MSG, I just got home from work, and already my jaw is stuck on the floor...
Fanning those flames again are we?
erm.....
I never hear you complaining about it, ILJP.

MSG...thanks for the PM from your busy schedule...
When you actually tell a story about the picture, the picture takes a life of its own.
...Page Looks so beautiful in pictures...I cannot imagine how beautiful he must look so up close. I imagine that you saw him at some point (during your Chasing days!!)
You're welcome, PlanetPage.
I really don't have a story about that particular pic (I took it from the official LZ site) other than that is what Jimmy looked like when we attended our first Zep concert.
Love these pictures of Jimmy MSG!! It's funny, because there was a period of time when I was younger that I was not too fond of him with the facial hair, but he definitely looks HOT with it!! (Um ok, you know that to me he looks hot no matter what...)Yes, ILJP - I know that he looks great to you no matter what era, clothes, physical state, etc.
-
Looks like Little Robert Anthony is right in your face in this one too.
That's very close to the view that my friend and I had during our first Zep concert. We spent most of the concert fixated on that and trying to see what Jimmy had hidden behind his guitar

Those are L-O-W! hehehe I'm blushingthat is pure hotness. my gosh. I'll join Lizzy_17 in the blushing club.
EDIT: oh and Tetelisa! wow, thank you too. what a beautiful man he is.
There isn't much that I haven't seen and even less that makes me blush but that pic, when accompanied by some of my Zep friends' comments makes even me blush.

The first time I saw Zep in concert, Jimmy looked like this (this photo was taken the night before we saw them):
-
Here's some Pagey with that sexy beard of his.
[...]
There are a couple others...[...]
I loved that Pagey with a beard era. The first time that my friends and I saw the Zep guys, they looked like this (and we didn't even have tickets to the concert; we just waited around so we could get a glimpse of them):
-
"Never thought I'd see your face the way it used to be."
-
Oh no problem at all!! And yes, I have many fantasies that involve Pagey and scarves...
Ahem, ILJP, they say that all fantasies do have a basis in reality.
-
MSG, you are too funny!! And actually (as you well know) my absolute favorite Jimmy period back then was 1973. Because I saw Zeppelin in 1977, that will always hold a special place in my heart (besides the fact that in some of the pictures from that time he looks so damn sexy to me!!)
OK, ILJP, I'll admit that, even though I wasn't a '77 girl I can still appreciate Jimmy in that photo with the mandolin.
-
And, for the '77 people - ILJP, I know that means you
-
The Golden God's stare....
-
Ok MSG, now the first picture of Robert has always been one of my favorites, but what is going on in the second one!!!!!!!!
I think they are just dancing. From the position of the girl's hand though, I can't be sure.... I couldn't blame her if it were something more, who wouldn't be tempted?

I loved Catherine James' book - she's had some rough times and she carried a really inspirational tone through the book. She wasn't in the least bit self-pitying, not like some of the other stuff I've read.
You're right about the inspirational tone and the lack of self-pity in her book. The other thing that I really liked about Catherine's book is, unlike some others, for a woman who has led such a fascinating life, she never came across as someone who bragged or considered herself superior to others. I also thought that she handled her later encounters with rockers, including the one with Jimmy Page, with class.

Jimmy Page´s injured fingers in the 70ies
in Led Zeppelin Live
Posted
Thanks for that additional bit of info, Otto. Whatever it was and however it happened, as far as that last concert at the Forum, I don't think that the injury affected his playing or his performance at all.
