  1. I'm Just A Singer In A Rock N Roll Band...The Moody Blues
  2. I'm also annoyed about the rain. My daughter was looking forward to the fireworks and we are also rained out. The carnival shut down the rides but tomorrow's another day. Hopefully we can see the fireworks then...
  3. I saw them back in either 79 or 80 but i don't listen to them anymore. Good show, i remember. Can't help you with your question.

  5. Hey ledbaby who's this katy person? lol...she's got a mess for ya?

  6. How should i know, LOL? Ask ledbaby what he meant. Whatever it was, i'm sure you wouldn't go with it...
  7. Going to the carnival tonight with my sister, some friends and a bunch of our kids! Lots of rides, food and fireworks at 9:30. I hope it doesn't rain, been cloudy all day. Happy 4th everyone!
  8. Captures the feeling of "celebration": Fourth Of July, Asbury Park (Sandy) Artist: Bruce Springsteen Album: The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle Sandy, the fireworks are hailin' over Little Eden tonight Forcin' a light into all those stony faces left stranded on this warm July Down in town the circuit's full of switchblade lovers, so fast, so shiny, so sharp As the wizards play down on Pinball Way on the boardwalk way past dark And the boys from the casino dance with their shirts open like Latin lovers on the shore Chasin' all them silly New York virgins by the score Sandy, the aurora is risin' behind us Those pier lights, our carnival life forever Oh, love me tonight, for I may never see you again Hey, Sandy girl... my baby Now the greasers, they tramp the streets or get busted for sleepin' on the beach all night Them boys in their high heels, ah Sandy, their skins are so white And me, I just got tired of hangin' in them dusty arcades, bangin' them pleasure machines Chasin' the factory girls underneath the boardwalk, where they all promised to unsnap their jeans And you know that Tilt-a-Whirl down on the south beach drag? I got on it last night and my shirt got caught And it kept me spinnin', they didn't think I'd ever get off Sandy, the aurora is risin' behind us Those pier lights, our carnival life on the water Runnin', laughin' underneath the boardwalk with the boss's daughter I remember, Sandy girl... my baby Sandy, the waitress I was seein' lost her desire for me I spoke with her last night, she said she won't set herself on fire for me anymore She worked that joint under the boardwalk, she was always the girl you saw boppin' down the beach with the radio Kids say last night she was dressed like a star in one of the cheap little seaside bars, and I saw her parked with her lover boy out on the Kokomo Did you hear, the cops finally busted Madame Marie for tellin' fortunes better than they do? For me this carnival life's through-- you ought to quit this scene too Sandy, the aurora is risin' behind us Those pier lights, our carnival life forever Oh, love me tonight and I promise I'll love you forever Oh, I mean it, Sandy girl
  9. It made me happy to pick up my daughter from my mom's house (god i missed her last night) and getting a great big "hello, mommy" followed by the most wonderful hug. Pure heaven. I will be even happier when i hear ledbaby's sexy voice

    First Kiss

I have heard a lot of guys say their first time, whether it was a kiss, or more, happened when they were a young teen with an older girl. I always thought, what's that girl's malfunction? At 16 or 17 i wanted to be with guys in their 20's, not 12 year olds, lol. I still like older guys today. I know this for a fact, lol. Being forward, if done with dignity, is a good thing. Aggressive can be overbearing. I know this for a fact, too.
  11. I think its hugely an issue of compatibility. There are people who are givers and takers and in between. The ideal relationship is a fair give and take situation with mutual respect/love/feelings. Some people will insist on this if they are to stay, many others don't. I have been in all of these types of relationships and have concluded that equal giving and taking is the happiest situation (go figure)...lol. If you are involved with someone who doesn't fulfill your "needs" you have to make a choice. It's really that simple. Many people don't mind being on the other end of what may seem like unfairness, and others do and will walk away. I personally will tolerate quite a bit of "emotional bullshit" if i feel deeply towards someone, but i have my limit. If that is exceeded, things go down the tubes. As for back scratching, i prefer a foot massage...and i enjoy giving them, too.
  12. Happy 4th of July to the Americans (and anyone else who wants to celebrate along with us). Not a song about the "holiday" but probably even more appropriate in regards to the opening post. Bruce Springsteen Independence Day Well Papa go to bed now it's getting late Nothing we can say is gonna change anything now I'll be leaving in the morning from St. Mary's Gate We wouldn't change this thing even if we could somehow Cause the darkness of this house has got the best of us There's a darkness in this town that's got us too But they can't touch me now And you can't touch me now They ain't gonna do to me What I watched them do to you So say goodbye it's Independence Day It's Independence Day All down the line Just say goodbye it's Independence Day It's Independence Day this time Now I don't know what it always was with us We chose the words, and yeah, we drew the lines There was just no way this house could hold the two of us I guess that we were just too much of the same kind Well say goodbye it's Independence Day It's Independence Day all boys must run away So say goodbye it's Independence Day All men must make their way come Independence Day Now the rooms are all empty down at Frankie's joint And the highway she's deserted clear down to Breaker's Point There's a lot of people leaving town now leaving their friends, their homes At night they walk that dark and dusty highway all alone Well Papa go to bed now, it's getting late Nothing we can say can change anything now Because there's just different people coming down here now and they see things in different ways And soon everything we've known will just be swept away So say goodbye it's Independence Day Papa now I know the things you wanted that you could not say But won't you just say goodbye it's Independence Day I swear I never meant to take those things away

  14. We are friends. I'm sure ledbaby will realize i deserve more respect than that.
  15. ^ I can relate. I had two of the worst days at work this past week. I'm exhausted from not getting enough sleep. Other things bothering me i won't go into. So did something make me happy today? Oh yeah, i'm off of work until Wednesday! That makes me very happy.
  16. Spats wouldn't go with it from what i have read him saying. Cute joke, ledbaby,
  17. A pet peeve of mine that has never happened while i was talking to a girlfriend: being hung up on during a phone conversation. Am i that offensive?
  18. Your Own Special Way...Genesis
  19. My girlfriends and i all picked nicknames for each other in Junior high. Tangerine was one of mine, and the one that became permanent. I love it.
  20. In the late 1980's into the early 1990's i was into some of the popular new age jazz music. Favorites were Pat Metheny (guitarist), Jon Luc Ponty (violinist) , David Lanz (pianist) and Spyro Gyro. Saw them all live, Pat and Spyro Gyro seven times each. Oh did i forget, i saw Kenny G, too (lol, well i did). I haven't listened to any recently, but it's definitely feel good music. Just look at all the happy people wandering around in the French Quarter.
  21. I have had Frappacino's from Starbucks, i know they taste good. I usually just drink coffee with cream because i can't afford the price tag and i don't feel like i'm getting my caffeine fix (although that may not be true) from the "dessert like" drinks, yummy as they are.
  22. Whoa...chill out (time for a Frapp)...lol. You just sound liberal to me, reading your views...and i guess i saw "brutal honesty" the way you speak your mind...i thought you saw your change when it was given to you, not later on when you were already gone. Okay, so we agree, you are no more honest than the next guy as for Dunkin Donuts, i wasn't making any suggestions to you, just adding my comments on the coffee house talk.
  23. I do sometimes. Usually only the short songs: Thank You, Tangerine, and Bron-Y-Aur come to mind. I listen to songs from other bands twice in a row sometimes, too.
  24. Thank you spats...I was trying to think of Morgan Freeman when talking to a friend the other day. I mentioned "Driving Miss Daisy" but he never saw it. I haven't seen a movie in over 3 years (in the theatre that is)...any suggestions? Is this the best movie now showing?
  25. Maybe she thought she was giving you a five and four ones but accidently gave you a ten and four ones? Well anyway, i would have expected you to admit the mistake (i'm just going by what i have read about your values). IMO, Starbucks is way overpriced, and i personally would have kept the money...i prefer coffee from Dunkin Donuts, tastes better and easier on the finances.
